🐾 Interestingly, the “Josie and the Pussycats” episode “Swap Plot Flop” is the only episode in the series where Josie and her friends unmask the bad guy at the end of a chase sequence. While touring in the Middle East, the Pussycats are given the opportunity to perform before royalty. However, Valerie becomes tasked with acting as a decoy for a kidnapped princess who looks just like her. The real princess was kidnapped by the villainous Evil Eye. Later, Valerie gets kidnapped by the Evil Eye’s minions and Melody gets hypnotized into being his slave, though her dumbness gets the better of her comically. In an effort to rescue the princess and Valerie, Alexander, Alexandra, Melody, and Josie disguise themselves as harem girls to distract the guards. ✨🐪

🦁 “Flintstone and the Lion” is among my favorite “Flintstones” episodes. 🦁

🦴 The “Baby Barney” episode of “The Flintstones” is among the funniest episodes of the original series. When Fred’s wealthy uncle, Uncle Tex, comes to visit, Barney reluctantly goes along with a ruse to disguise himself as a baby upon hearing the possibility of obtaining an inheritance if Fred and Wilma have a child of their own. This was of course before the birth of Pebbles. I based this drawing on Betty’s shock of seeing her husband in a baby bonnet and diaper.

👻 Not surprisingly, I based this drawing of Shaggy on an Iwao Takamoto drawing, but in the actual drawing I found online, Shaggy was without his whiskers. Every time I draw or sketch him, I remind myself “Never draw Shaggy without his whiskers. Always put whiskers on Shaggy��. ZOINKS!!

“The New Scooby-Doo Movies” episode “The Haunted Showboat” marked the final animated appearance of Josie and the Pussycats to date. When “Laff-A-Lympics” was being developed, Alexander, Melody, Alexandra, and Sebastian were intended to appear as members of the Scooby Doobies team. Unfortunately, legal troubles between Archie Comics and Hanna-Barbera prevented their inclusion in the final TV program.
