hey taylor. im so so so excited to finally see you. after years of hoping and praying, i finally get to see you. you will be standing less than 5,000 feet away from me. ive loved your music for as long as i can remember. i remember when i first heard haunted, and fell in love, i remember how i begged and begged my parents to take me to the Red Tour, because i loved that album so much. i remember crying when 1989 came out, and i learned all the lyrics to every song that night. i remember screaming on my 13th birthday that i got tickets to see you. (13!! coincidence?? i think not!!) one hundred one days tay. im so so excited to finally hear you in person, dance with you and sing along with you. i just wanted to let you know how your music has impacted my life, and im forever grateful. love you tay!

8 years of #TheSwiftLife

Hi Tay,

It’s been 8 years since we met, so here’s a little (okay, a long) recap of what’s been happening in my life since then. I really hope we can meet again someday, life has been a wild ride but you and your music has always been a constant in my life. I’ll always support you!

2010

I was 16 years old, you had just moved into your first condo in Nashville and I remember you talking vividly to my mum about how excited you were and how you were decorating it.

This night was also the start of the Puzzle Piece Project, a fan project that I got to be a part of and give you the first piece while filling Andrea in on the details!

2011

This was a year I didn’t get to see you perform. It was also my first year of University so my days were full of education (and newfound freedom)

2012

This was a really rollercoaster year for me. I got to see you perform 3 times - twice on the Speak Now tour and then again later in the year at the ARIA awards. I got to be in the Pit at the Brisbane night 2 show and you walked right by me! Kelly Slater was in the same pit that night too - cool guy.

The dedication you have for us really shined through at the ARIA Awards when you got out of your car upon arrival and then walked back across the road to where a group of us were standing.

We nearly got to take a photo at the awards, but you were going to every second person and I was the person in the between.

The rest of the year absolutely sucked, I went through some hard times that I wasn’t used to and didn’t know how to deal with as a 19-year-old. 

2013

Life levelled out a bit and I got to see you perform twice on the RED tour – these were my costumes!! We dressed up as cupcakes to celebrate your 24th birthday show in Melbourne. The frosting is made out of so much toilet paper, the hotel housekeeping asked if we needed an in-room doctor!

2014

I graduated University!! I also got to see you perform at the X Factor Australia finale! I took two days off work, made a light up sign and flew 2 states away to see you perform for 3 minutes - worth it.

2015

My first overseas trip! I flew to Nashville with @tinylou-13 to see you perform on the 1989 Tour. We stayed in someone’s AirBnB basement and I got really sick to the point where I was put on bed rest (as if that was going to happen though!) I tried the famous Sweet Potato pancakes for the first time and I’ve been craving them ever since.

Then, when you came to Australia I made this poster because I was nostalgic and saw you perform all around the country. My mum also made us matching jackets!

2016

In October, I travelled to Austin to see you perform at the F1. Your team were amazing and gave us access to our own mini pit at the front of the stage. It was such a memorable night! I’m still in shock that you sang Sparks Fly – absolutely killed me.

2017

I’ve spent most of 2017 focusing on starting my own business. AAAND I’m still working on it! I spent a week at Hamilton Island, shortly after it was hit by a Cyclone - it still incredibly beautiful.

For the release of REP, some of us got together in Brisbane to have a listening party and celebrate!

2018

I haven’t found love yet, but I finally feel like I know myself as a person and know what I want out of life and a lot of that is thanks to you and the great people your music has introduced me to.

I’m also hoping to buy a house in the next year, but I did what I knew I would and have spent my house deposit savings on coming to see you in a couple of different countries.

So, I’ll be seeing you around in:

- London x 2 (woo! My 25th birthday show! + my 13th concert!)

- Melbourne

- Sydney

- Brisbane

- Auckland

I had plans to come and see you in Toronto and Tokyo as well but my boss has decided that I actually need to spend some time at work this year (who would have thought?!). My other Aussie friends will still be going and having the time of their lives!

My beautiful mother, who you met also in 2010 and has since been to 7 of your shows + X Factor will be coming along to see you in Perth and Sydney this time around. She’s super excited that you’re playing so many old songs!

There’s so much more I want to say but this is long enough already. Thanks for everything @taylorswift .

I just wanted to say something really quick about this fandom.

I was terrified at first to go to a concert alone, especially at a stadium as big as the Rose Bowl. But once I got there, I started to recognize other fans from Tumblr, Twitter, etc….and they recognized me. We talked and laughed like we’d been friends for years and I didn’t feel so afraid anymore.

Even though I’ve been a super fan of Taylor for over 10 years, I was late to the game on social media. I was nervous or afraid people were going to make fun of me (people can be so cruel). But I can now say it was one of the best decisions of my life. Not only did I find people with a shared love of @taylorswift + her music but it allowed me to meet such amazing people who I now call my friends.

So thank you. Thank you for making me fearless. And thank you @taylorswift for introducing me to some of the best people on this planet.

Hi Taylor! I’m Malena an italian swiftie since 2009. I really can’t explain in words how much you mean to me. Your songs makes me cry of joy!

I came to the speak now tour in 2011 and it was the best experience of my life! Then in 2015 I came with my boyfriend from Italy to London the day of my birthday for the 1989 tour and it was the best birthday ever!

This time I will be lucky enough to travel again and come to the reputation tour in Manchester both nights, and this is my costume! Inspired to the diamond bath of the LWYMMD music video! Me, my mom and my boyfriend worked so hard for this, i really hope you like it!

I really hope one day I will be able to hug you and thank you in person for made me the happiest girl since 2009, you’re one of the best things that I have in my life.
