Why is digital marketing so important for your small business?
Digital marketing is vitally important for your small business because it provides you with the opportunity to establish significantly more engaged communication channels with your consumers for a significantly reduced budget.
Digital marketing & especially social driven marketing strategies allow for the small business owner to compete with large corporates, something that has not been possible for decades due to the limitations of the traditional broadcasting system.
Traditional methods of marketing created significant barriers to entry for small businesses, with huge budgets required to get your messages out there to the viewing and consuming public. In the past small businesses have been forced to make do with little to no real marketing or communications presence in their target audiences.
Today all of this has changed
Elite Computer Services is here to help you, and your business.
We have years of experience and knowledge and never-ending training and certifications to make sure we are on top of our game when it comes to marketing your business.
We are Google Certified, Google is one of the most important aspects in any businesses marketing strategy, you must know Google to get to and stay on the front page of Google.
Small businesses are finding major benefits to modern marketing, especially in the digital and socially driven marketing fields where the potential to conceive of and implement a successful marketing strategy is high.
So what are these huge benefits for small businesses? I have put together a short list of the biggest and most effective benefits digital marketing can provide your small business.
1.    Digital Marketing enables a direct communication pathway between your business and your consumer, enabling you to build your own audience of loyal fans.
2.    Digital marketing generates better intel on consumers and can provide significantly improved ROI (Return of Investment)
3.    Digital marketing can save you a bunch of money.
4.    Digital marketing enables realtime customer service
5.    Digital marketing enables multi-device contact with consumers based on the consumers choice of device, time, place and need.
6.    Digital marketing provides significant measurement and analysis of consumer behavior and engagement.
7.    Digital marketing prepares you for the Internet of Things
Remember that all of these tools and methods are completely useless if the quality of the inputs are poor. This means that your ability to be strategic, creative and relevant in building your digital strategy is what is going to make it or break it. Do you have the level of talent required to enable top drawer creative and strategic thinking?
I personally have found the availability of great learning content on digital marketing to be immense and significant. You would be surprised at what is achievable with not much cash and a lot of motivation. As a small business owner, you need to make the most of inexpensive and effective methods that can be put to work without too much cost involved.
So there are two key aspects to getting this right and they are as follows;
Firstly, you as the small business owner and visionary need to understand the new world in which we live and work. If you are operating from some outdated or bogus assumptions about how the internet works and does what it does then i would suggest you change this for a start. here is a great TIME article from the CEO of Chartbeat called What you think you know about the web is wrong .
It is easy to get highly excited about many of the glossy mega brand case study examples like CocaCola CS or Redbull; each detailing how content marketing has changed the game for these brands, and for their consumers experience of the brand and its services; fundamentally changing communication strategy from ‘push’ to one of ‘pull’. Attract, engage, convince & covert!
I was chatting to a small business owner yesterday who was telling me how much he thought that content marketing, and the clear driving philosophies behind, are the best shot we have at actually creating transactional and relationship driven networks that matter to both the brands and consumers alike. They all need to get something out of it and not feel cheated.
a) afford content marketing at a scale that is suitable to me and my business needs
&
b) apply it usefully so that i get results that make a clear difference to the growth of my small business.
It is true that you can get seriously lost in the halls of content marketing expertise, but it isn’t true that it has to cost you an arm and a leg.
Conclusion
The benefits of digital marketing seem unavoidably huge for small businesses and I would recommend establishing a digital strategy as soon as possible. It doesn’t have to cost you a lot and it can be highly effective in acquiring new customers, making sales and servicing customers in real time. It is also clear that without the requisite awareness, knowledge and skill in digital marketing there isn’t much hope you will achieve success.
This again is where Elite Computer Services comes in, we can take all the stress out of marketing and let you do what you do best, run your business.

What Is a Hacker? Why Do They Do What They Do? How Do They Do It? How Can You Protect Against It?
Hackers aren’t inherently bad — the word “hacker” doesn’t mean “criminal” or “bad guy.”  Geeks and tech writers often refer to “black hat,” “white hat,” and “gray hat” hackers. These terms define different groups of hackers based on their behavior.
The definition of the word “hacker” is controversial, and could mean either someone who compromises computer security or a skilled developer in the free software or open-source movements.
 Black Hats
Black-hat hackers, or simply “black hats,” are the type of hacker the popular media seems to focus on.  Black-hat hackers violate computer security for personal gain (such as stealing credit card numbers or harvesting personal data for sale to identity thieves) or for pure maliciousness (such as creating a botnet and using that botnet to perform DDOS attacks against websites they don’t like.)
Black hats fit the widely-held stereotype that hackers are criminals performing illegal activities for personal gain and attacking others. They’re the computer criminals.
A black-hat hacker who finds a new, “zero-day” security vulnerability would sell it to criminal organizations on the black market or use it to compromise computer systems.
Media portrayals of black-hat hackers may be accompanied by silly stock photos like the one in this blog, Photo 2, which is intended as a parody.
 White Hats
White-hat hackers are the opposite of the black-hat hackers. They’re the “ethical hackers,” experts in compromising computer security systems who use their abilities for good, ethical, and legal purposes rather than bad, unethical, and criminal purposes.
For example, many white-hat hackers are employed to test an organizations’ computer security systems. The organization authorizes the white-hat hacker to attempt to compromise their systems. The white-hat hacker uses their knowledge of computer security systems to compromise the organization’s systems, just as a black hat hacker would. However, instead of using their access to steal from the organization or vandalize its systems, the white-hat hacker reports back to the organization and informs them of how they gained access, allowing the organization to improve their defenses. This is known as “penetration testing,” and it’s one example of an activity performed by white-hat hackers.
A white-hat hacker who finds a security vulnerability would disclose it to the developer, allowing them to patch their product and improve its security before it’s compromised. Various organizations pay “bounties” or award prizes for revealing such discovered vulnerabilities, compensating white-hats for their work.
 Gray Hats
Very few things in life are clear black-and-white categories. In reality, there’s often a gray area. A gray-hat hacker falls somewhere between a black hat and a white hat. A gray hat doesn’t work for their own personal gain or to cause carnage, but they may technically commit crimes and do arguably unethical things.
For example, a black hat hacker would compromise a computer system without permission, stealing the data inside for their own personal gain or vandalizing the system. A white-hat hacker would ask for permission before testing the system’s security and alert the organization after compromising it. A gray-hat hacker might attempt to compromise a computer system without permission, informing the organization after the fact and allowing them to fix the problem. While the gray-hat hacker didn’t use their access for bad purposes, they compromised a security system without permission, which is illegal.
If a gray-hat hacker discovers a security flaw in a piece of software or on a website, they may disclose the flaw publicly instead of privately disclosing the flaw to the organization and giving them time to fix it. They wouldn’t take advantage of the flaw for their own personal gain — that would be black-hat behavior — but the public disclosure could cause carnage as black-hat hackers tried to take advantage of the flaw before it was fixed.
So How Do They Do It?
There are many, many different methods used, but they all have one result in common, finding a weakness in a company’s online security and the only way to find these weaknesses are to look for them.
The question is, who will find your weakness first Black Hat or White Hat?
 SQL Injection (SQLi)
SQL Injection (SQLi) refers to an injection attack wherein an attacker can execute malicious SQL statements (also commonly referred to as a malicious payload) that control a web application’s database server (also commonly referred to as a Relational Database Management System – RDBMS). Since an SQL Injection vulnerability could possibly affect any website or web application that makes use of an SQL-based database, the vulnerability is one of the oldest, most prevalent and most dangerous of web application vulnerabilities.
By leveraging an SQL Injection vulnerability, given the right circumstances, an attacker can use it to bypass a web application’s authentication and authorization mechanisms and retrieve the contents of an entire database. SQL Injection can also be used to add, modify and delete records in a database, affecting data integrity.
To such an extent, SQL Injection can provide an attacker with unauthorized access to sensitive data including, customer data, personally identifiable information (PII), trade secrets, intellectual property and other sensitive information.
  Denial-of-Service (DoS)
A denial-of-service attack is a security event that occurs when an attacker takes action that prevents legitimate users from accessing targeted computer systems, devices or other network resources.
Denial-of-service (DoS) attacks typically flood servers, systems or networks with traffic in order to overwhelm the victim resources and make it difficult or impossible for legitimate users to use them. While an attack that crashes a server can often be dealt with successfully by simply rebooting the system, flooding attacks can be more difficult to recover from.

Why Is an Interactive & Responsive Website Important?
What Is an Interactive & Responsive Website?
There are many elements that go into the creation of a website. A website is the best medium to communicate with users from all over the world. It is therefore essential, it should be designed in such a way that users should be attracted and be engaged on the site. This is when a website can reach its users effectively.
A simple example can illustrate this point. Picture this: 2 shopping stores are right next to each other. However, one attracts more customers than the other.
although both have the same goods. This is only because of one reason. The one shop that attracts more customers uses the concept of interaction with people. This is in terms of consumer suggestions, attractive offers, contests and displays. The whole scenario draws people as the overall environment makes a customer feel more comfortable.
In terms of web design, the concept can work in the same manner. The trick lies in a subtle use of web interactions to attract users and cause them to engage on a page.
Technology is rapidly revolutionizing the modern business scenario and every organization - small, medium-sized, or large – needs an attractive, informative and engaging website that can offer it maximum visibility1. Needless to say, capturing and retaining the attention of users is an absolute challenge. The simple truth is that users get easily fed up if they are bombarded with an overdose of information and a confusing mish mash of images. In this context, an interactive website is the best way to provide a meaningful and engaging user experience.
A website with responsive web design is a site that is able to adapt to the screen it is being used on, regardless of what device it is. The website automatically reformats to give the user a better experience that it well suited to their device, and can give your site a number of benefits as well as being in line with Google recommendations. Still not convinced?
 BENEFITS OF RESPONSIVE WEB DESIGN
With a responsive website, the content and pages are automatically flexible, fluid across all screen resolutions and various devices. In other words, no matter what device you are viewing a website on, the user will have optimal viewing experience including ease of navigation with a minimum amount of resizing and scrolling.
A responsive design can improve user experience and accommodate everyone, whether they are on a desktop or a smartphone or tablet. In providing the best possible experience, people will have a positive opinion of your website, meaning they will most probably return.
Through ensuring that your website is responsive, you essentially only have one website instead of two. This is much more cost effective; as opposed to having a separate mobile site to maintain, you only have your main site to look after. Likewise, SEO campaigns are much easier to maintain with only one site; if you were to have a separate mobile site, you then have two SEO campaigns. A responsive website is all round much easier to manage.
With the importance of mobile-friendly websites only increasing, take a minute to ensure your web design is the best it can be!
Elite Computer Services offers the best interactive & responsive websites at the most affordable prices on the gulf coast!

Why is website security so important?
What is the #1 reason most people don’t lock up their website?
Lack of awareness of the risks and consequences, and the belief especially amongst small business owners that they’re too small to be noticed by hackers. They’re not aware that most hackers use automated tools to find vulnerable sites. Most small business owners are too busy to think about security in any depth. While they’re often aware generally of security issues, they often don’t connect those threats with their own business. So they don’t set aside the time and resources need to make sure even the most basic website security precautions are followed.
Your website is your brand, your storefront, and often your first contact with customers. If it’s not safe and secure, those critical business relationships can be compromised. The threats can come in many forms – infecting a website with malware in order to spread that malware to site visitors, stealing customer information, like names and email addresses, stealing credit card and other transaction information, adding the website to a botnet of infected sites, and even hijacking or crashing the site.
A single security breach could be a death-knell for a small business. Most states now have strict data breach laws, and many come with stiff fines, penalties, and other costs. Even if a security breach at a small business website doesn’t trigger a data breach, it can still have a huge impact on customer trust if customers find out about it.
An unprotected website is a security risk to customers, other businesses, and public/government sites. It allows for the spread and escalation of malware, attacks on other websites, and even attacks against national targets and infrastructure. In many of these attacks, hackers will try to harness the combined power of thousands of computers and sites to launch these attacks, and the attacks rarely lead directly back to the hackers.
Some people may not think of web security to build trust with customers. They may think that it’s simply a way to prevent malicious attacks. While prevention is important, how does web security build trust with customers?
Consumers are nervous about the security risks of the internet. For example, identity theft has been the number one consumer complaint to the Federal Trade Commission every year for the last thirteen years. Consumers seem to sense, because it’s common sense, that most small businesses can’t afford the best security and therefore it’s more likely their website presents a higher risk – whether it’s purchasing or just browsing.
The more a small business can do to build trust in the security of their website, the more likely customers are to visit, stay, buy, return, and recommend. That’s why security seals are important. Not only do they provide reassurance to customers that the website is secure, and the business is aware of the risks, but customers are also so used to seeing these seals on websites, they tend to notice when a site has none.
What industries need to be particularly careful about securing their website?
No industry is immune. Hacking is not just about stealing data. Hackers want to create watering holes where they can hide malware to spread the malware to any visitors to that site. They also want to enlist those compromised sites in Distributed Denial of Service (DDS) attacks on other sites. Any site can serve that function. When it comes to data theft, financial services, healthcare, and retail seem to be especially popular.
Does the FCC provide any info to help small businesses?
In October, 2011 the FCC re-launched the Small Biz Cyber Planner 2.0, a free online tool to help small businesses develop their own cybersecurity plan. The security team that helped develop the original planning tool included Symantec, Visa, and Neal O’Farrell
What’s the most important step that business owners should do today to protect their website?
It’s tough to pick just one. Some easy steps are to create a security plan, even a simple one, share it with everyone involved, and stick to it. Manage your passwords carefully, especially website access. And keep all computers and mobile devices free from malware so they’re not used as a launchpad for a website attack. Of course, it would be smart to enroll in a service like the one we offer at Elite Computer Services. It’s affordable to even the smallest business yet provides the same types of website security that even the biggest businesses enjoy.
Elite Computer Services is offering FREE web security audits, contact us to learn more.

Flood-stricken southeast Texas struggled Thursday with a new series of blows that left a city without running water, the operators of a flood-damaged chemical plant warning of additional fires and at least one hospital unable to care for its patients.
Nearly a week after Hurricane Harvey slammed into the Texas coast, desperate residents remain stranded without food and water in the wake of unprecedented flooding. Meanwhile, authorities continue to search for survivors and make helicopter rescues from rooftops as the death toll from Harvey and its aftermath climbed to 39.
Pam Jones said the water crept up on them with shocking speed.
It started to pour in through the garage of her elderly parents' home in Dickinson, Texas, where the family had gathered to ride out Hurricane Harvey. Within hours three feet of it swamped the home, trapping Jones, her 83-year-old mother and 86-year-old father upstairs. They called for help.
That was Saturday.
Jones and her family weren't rescued until Sunday. They weren't found by the Coast Guard but by a volunteer with a boat.
"We're really blessed," Jones said afterward.
Since Hurricane Harvey slammed the region, thousands of residents like Jones have been plucked from their homes. But each rescue has underscored broader questions about the disaster's true scope.
In all, 53 Texas counties issued emergency declarations -- an area that's home to around 11.4 million people. How many people successfully fled their homes ahead of the storm? How many are still waiting to be rescued?
"At this time, we don't know," FEMA director Brock Long said Thursday.
There are compelling reasons for the lack of answers.
On Thursday, six days after the storm first made landfall, the Houston Fire Department was set to begin a door-to-door mission in southwest Houston in hopes of finding residents still waiting to be plucked from the floodwaters.
People have criticized Houston residents for not evacuating. Plenty did, and with more understanding of the context, you might excuse many of those who didn’t. Evacuating a city like Houston, on these interlocked freeways—where a one-way commute might take two hours on a normal day—can very easily turn into a secondary disaster. The majority of Hurricane Rita deaths in Houston occurred in the evacuation, and two-thirds of flood fatalities happen in cars. Without financial resources, evacuation is a uniquely difficult experience, and 22.5 per cent of the population in increasingly unequal Houston lives under the poverty line. Official messages have also been uneven: Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, advised evacuation; the mayor of Houston, Sylvester Turner—likely warding off the worst-case scenario of a hurricane hitting gridlock traffic—advised sheltering in place. (In Rockport, the mayor pro tem issued a mandatory evacuation order, telling people who refused it to write their Social Security numbers on their arms.)
We want to help, and that’s why Landson Adjusting Group, Mobile County 411, Elite Computer Services & Buzy-Bee Vinyl Creations have partnered together to bring aid to TX.
We will be taking needed supplies like clothing, first aid kits, food, water, diapers etc. to those in the wake of Harvey’s disastrous path.

Visit EliteCompServices.com today to find out how we can help your business market yourself and dominate your local market. The necessity for your business to have an outstanding online presence and website has never been greater. For this reason, many local business owners like you are trying their best to find digital marketing agencies that can assist them in their online business goals. However, those who have yet to work with a consultant or a marketing group have little idea on what exactly these types of companies do. So how does an online marketing and web design agency actually work? Using our agency as a case study, here’s how.  A digital marketing agency can bring your brand to the masses and ensure your image online is nothing short of impressive. However, you need to ensure that the agency is constantly aware of the current and historical online marketing industry statistics and trends as well as customer behavioral trends that affect your business. Trends they need to be aware of include Google algorithm updates and developments in mobile-friendly web design. Your agency must also be at the frontlines of the industry, constantly testing online marketing techniques based on research.  But more importantly, the online marketing and web design agency must have the desire to make your business much more successful.  Good Agencies Actually Listen No one knows your business and your goals more than you do. That’s why your agency must take the time to listen and understand your business, products, services, and who and where your customers and competitors are. They must take note of your past marketing activities to give us a clearer picture of how to help you. This is the intake stage and we use it to learn more about you. Engagement via In-depth Consultation When you are looking for a digital marketing agency, make sure they are a company that can provide a unique consulting experience to you. Though this experience can be achieved in many ways, the most effective is comprehensive consultation. Through extensive engagement, your agency can create a customized plan to expand your online presence and increase the attractiveness of your brand. We are proud to say that we are an agency that provides detailed consultation to our prospects. While the client gets to understand the value of the service they are looking to avail of, we also get something out of the consultation phase. We are able to better understand our prospect and their business – making it easier for us do all the technical work later on.  Effective Project Management If your agency cannot manage projects effectively, you’ll encounter great headaches in your partnership. Effective project management entails ample capacity because if the agency cannot handle the load you put on it, it will crack under pressure. See to it that the agency can scale with you and can prioritize your projects, big or small.  More importantly, ensure that your responsibilities in the project are clear are at the very start. This will improve management from the intake stage down to the completion stage. For instance, in a typical SEO campaign, some of our pre-launch responsibilities to you are: managing your marketing expectations, communicating our customer support structure, and giving you a list of the requirements you need to submit. On your end, you need to understand the goals of the campaign, abide by agreed upon communication methods / schedules, and submit the requirements we need to run your SEO campaign. If things like these are clear early on, the project will run smoothly.  Efficient Processes and Workflow Processes and workflow are usually built with time. What we can say is that we have been doing this for years and our processes and workflow are smooth and efficient enough to make the most of the time we spend together during the consultation and the intake. We also have sufficient experience to ensure smooth and fast movement of tasks from one stage to another up to the end of the project. Cycle Includes Continual Improvements  We follow a cycle beginning with an in-depth consultation to identify your needs and determine the best strategy for you. We then measure and analyze the results and listen to your feedback so that we can make our online marketing efforts for everyone a success. We develop our services continually as the online marketing landscape to ensure the best results, regardless of what service we run for you.  We take the time to listen to your needs through in-depth consultation, which we provide to clients before making any kind of service recommendation. And because we can deliver all these services to you, we’re confident we can help your local business succeed online. Call us today at (251) 414-7474 now or send us a message to schedule your free consultation on online marketing.

A new cyber virus spread from Ukraine to wreak havoc around the globe on Wednesday, crippling thousands of computers, disrupting ports from Mumbai to Los Angeles and halting production at a chocolate factory in Australia.
The virus is believed to have first taken hold on Tuesday in Ukraine where it silently infected computers after users downloaded a popular tax accounting package or visited a local news site, national police and international cyber experts said.
More than a day after it first struck, companies around the world were still wrestling with the fallout while cyber security experts scrambled to find a way to stem the spread.
Danish shipping giant A.P. Moller-Maersk (MAERSKb.CO) said it was struggling to process orders and shift cargoes, congesting some of the 76 ports around the world run by its APM Terminals subsidiary.
U.S. delivery firm FedEx Corp (FDX.N) said its TNT Express division had been significantly affected by the virus, which also wormed its way into South America, affecting ports in Argentina operated by China's Cofco.
The malicious code locked machines and demanded victims post a ransom worth $300 in bitcoins or lose their data entirely, similar to the extortion tactic used in the global WannaCry ransomware attack in May.
More than 30 victims paid up but security experts are questioning whether extortion was the goal, given the relatively small sum demanded, or whether the hackers were driven by destructive motives rather than financial gain.
Hackers asked victims to notify them by email when ransoms had been paid but German email provider Posteo quickly shut down the address, a German government cyber security official said.
Ukraine, the epicenter of the cyber strike, has repeatedly accused Russia of orchestrating attacks on its computer systems and critical power infrastructure since its powerful neighbor annexed the Black Sea peninsula of Crimea in 2014.
The Kremlin, which has consistently rejected the accusations, said on Wednesday it had no information about the origin of the global cyber attack, which also struck Russian companies such as oil giant Rosneft (ROSN.MM) and a steelmaker.
"No one can effectively combat cyber threats on their own, and, unfortunately, unfounded blanket accusations will not solve this problem," said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
A computer virus, much like a flu virus, is designed to spread from host to host and has the ability to replicate itself. Similarly, in the same way that viruses cannot reproduce without a host cell, computer viruses cannot reproduce and spread without programming such as a file or document.
In more technical terms, a computer virus is a type of malicious code or program written to alter the way a computer operates and that is designed to spread from one computer to another. A virus operates by inserting or attaching itself to a legitimate program or document that supports macros in order to execute its code. In the process a virus has the potential to cause unexpected or damaging effects, such as harming the system software by corrupting or destroying data.
How does a computer virus attack?
Once a virus has successfully attached to a program, file, or document, the virus will lie dormant until circumstances cause the computer or device to execute its code. In order for a virus to infect your computer, you have to run the infected program, which in turn causes the virus code to be executed. This means that a virus can remain dormant on your computer, without showing major sings or symptoms. However, once the virus infects your computer, the virus can infect other computers on the same network. Stealing passwords or data, logging keystrokes, corrupting files, spamming your email contacts, and even taking over your machine are just some of the devastating and irritating things a virus can do.
While some viruses can be playful in intent and effect, others can have profound and damaging effects, such as erasing data or causing permanent damage to your hard disk, and worst yet, some are even design with financial gains in mind.
How do computer viruses spread?
In today’s constantly connected world you can contract a computer virus in many ways, some more obvious than others. Viruses can be spread through email and text message attachments, Internet file downloads, social media scam links, and even your mobile devices and smartphones can become infected with mobile viruses through shady App downloads. Viruses can hide disguised as attachments of socially shareable content such as funny images, greeting cards, or audio and video files.
To avoid contact with a virus it’s important to exercise caution when surfing the web, downloading files, and opening links or attachments. As a best practice, never download text or email attachments that you’re not expecting, or files from websites you don’t trust.
How to protect against computer viruses?
As you can see, just like a vicious flu virus, a computer virus is something that you want to avoid. The terms virus and malware are often used interchangeably; however, a virus is one of many types of malware, and only one aspect of the overall threat landscape. As a result, traditional antivirus software alone will not fully protect you from all threats.
Instead, look into comprehensive security software like Norton Security. With patented technologies that work together to outsmart online threats, scanning your system for viruses, and running continuous automatic silent updates, but even its possible to get infected, just like how you wash your hands and take vitamin C and yet somehow every now and then you still get sick.
Many times, the more common viruses are those known as the trojan virus, just like the trojan horse they sneak in looking like something else then infect you when you’re not expecting it.
Sometimes you may never even know you have a virus, they can lay dormmate as never show up on a security sweep but they are they are they spy on what you do, bank cards you use, passwords you use etc.
Its best to have your PC fully inspected, cleaned and optimized every 3 months, this finds those viruses you don’t even know you have and keeps your PC fast and reduces the chance of having crashes.

If you ask someone, they’ll tell you Web 2.0 as we know it is probably on its way out the door. For many, Web 2.0 is characterized mainly by the ability of users to share information quickly with others, which has been developed into the phenomenon that we call social media.
From Twitter to Facebook to YouTube and to all sorts of other kinds of communities, Web 2.0 is all about sharing and seeing. Now if you recall or were around during what is now known as Web 1.0, information was put up on a website and that was it–the best way of sharing it was privately through e-mails and such.
and if you wanted information, you had to go to the source for it. Can you imagine such a harsh internet? Now with Web 2.0 on it’s way out, the obvious question is, what in the world is Web 3.0 going to be?
 What is Web 3.0?
it’s hard to imagine how the internet is going to top sites like Twitter and Facebook. But it’s bound to happen and when you research Web 3.0, you find out it is going to be synonymous with the user’s interaction with the web.
In Web 2.0 we focused on the users’ interaction with others, now we are going to focus more on the users themselves, which is always a plus. But how is this going to happen?
Web 3.0 is being referred to by experts as the semantic web; semantic meaning data driven. The data will come from the user and the web will essentially adjust to meet the needs of the user. For example, if you do a lot of searching for ‘design blogs’, you’ll receive more advertisements related to design.
Also, when you search for other things, for example, ‘computers’, the web will keep in mind that you often search for design and may pull up search queries that combine ‘design’ and ‘computers’.
  Benefits of Web 3.0?
A huge benefit of Web 3.0 is the move towards being able to access data from anywhere. This is mainly being driven by the heavy usage of smart phones and cloud applications.
The idea here is to make sure that the user can access as much data as possible from anywhere, not just their home. Technology is trying to expand this idea in ways that allow TV’s to pick up on user data, and allowing smart phones to access data on your computer.
For those like myself who typically forget their jump drives, this is an amazing and useful advancement!
Web 3.0’s Effect on Design
So now that you have an idea of what Web 3.0 is and what it’s going to be, we have to ask the most important question for us: what does that mean for design? Web 2.0 design was based around drawing attention and persuading your audience, because after all, web 2.0 made a huge deal about being able to purchase things online.
Web 2.0 wanted to generate excitement and get people to make a purchase and understand what they were doing. You want to make a purchase? Sure, then click this button. You want to join the mailing list? Great, then there’s no question about clicking this button. That is the basis of Web 2.0 design.
Other elements were added to make things more fun and give a bit of style. The usage of linear gradients in web 2.0 is almost necessary.
Whatever color combination you desire, linear gradients are typically present from your background to your buttons. Other trends surfaced like various badges, rounded corners and a necessary usage of icons. But again, the question remains, what can we expect for web 3.0?
Web 3.0 is still in its infancy, so unfortunately to know what it is will require waiting.
But Stay tuned we will bring updates as they come and I promise if you have any kind of business and do your own marketing you MUST be ready for the “script to flip” at a moment’s notice or you will be left behind, Just like when google took over YouTube and then completely redesigned SEO (My personal opinion was this was the start of web 3.0) people that couldn’t keep up got left behind, many online company’s went out of business and the store front company’s lost a lot of business because the marketers who was ready and could adapt to the change became the “top dogs” of the online world.

You have seen the ads. For just 99 cents, you can get a domain. For $9.99 per month, you can start your own website. But what have you found? Have you found your business is not getting Internet sales? Are you somewhere on page 100 in the Google search engine? A myriad of work goes into creating a website that is worthy of Google's first page. If you want this ranking, you need to be smarter rather than work harder.
It takes starting out correctly with your website. There will be trial and error. Most of all, a magic solution does not exist. Any place that is offering something for very little is going to make you work harder to get what you desire for your website. Any company offering to sell you links to improve your website is going to damage it.
Did you know Google makes about 500 changes to its algorithm each year? Imagine what these changes are going to do for your website ranking, particularly when Google is attempting to make the user experience superb. Google's mission is to ensure when anyone conducts a search in Google, they see the results they want on the first couple of pages.
Search engine optimization (SEO) has greatly changed even in the last five years. Ten years ago it was about keywords. The more keywords you used the better. A slow shift toward quality content began and is now in full effect. If you spam your articles with keywords but have low quality content, you will be penalized. If you try to trick Google, you will end up in the black hole for Internet websites.
The battle over SEO practices is over. It’s been a long fight, but Google has won, and shady SEO agencies have been left to drag their wounded link farms and keyword-stuffed pages from the proverbial battlefield.
Google’s victory has been so sound, in fact, that they’ve remade an entire industry and turned their former enemies into allies. Rather than working tirelessly to trick search engines, modern SEO practices more or less work for Google — fighting spam (instead of producing it) and creating great content for Google to dish up to their users.
This doesn’t mean that SEO is dead (despite all the click-bait and misinformation to the contrary). It has simply, finally, matured. Understanding how Google has shaped the current SEO landscape is the first step to taking full advantage of search in promoting a brand.
A Brief History Of The Battle For SEO
Just over a decade ago, SEO was a cloudy concept — a hazy mashup of overseas chop shops and questionable link-building practices, with a few genuine optimizers scattered among them. Most SEOs did whatever it took to move websites up the rankings on Google search results, which led to gray- and black-hat tactics essentially spamming Google’s search bots.
Google fought back, developing smarter algorithms to counter the cheap tricks that SEOs were pulling to make their sites look good. It was “us vs. them,” and it was cutthroat.
The melee created a dangerous environment for brands and businesses. It was difficult to determine which strategy to invest in, which SEO agencies had a proven track record (or were even telling the truth about their practices), and how to realize actual SEO wins or losses.
Fast-forward to 2015, and none of those tricks work anymore. Worse still, many can get a website slammed with penalties that actually damage rankings. Any agency worth its salt will agree that SEO needs to be part of a holistic effort to build a brand online via great content (which helps Google) and a good user experience (which also helps Google).
Google’s Goal: Total Domination
I think Larry and Sergey realized early on that they would never be able to destroy the SEO industry. They saw that as long as search engines send organic (unpaid) visitors to websites, brands and businesses will do whatever they can to get their sites noticed. So instead of trying to take out the SEOs, Google’s goal from the start has been to either convince or coerce SEOs into creating a modern internet Google’s way.
And they did it. Google has essentially shaped the entire SEO community to their own benefit through three key strategies.
To sum things up a bit,
We all know we live in a tech filed world and a world where tech is growing and evolving faster and faster i mean think about it the first iPhone came out 10 years and 1 month ago.... Think back to that first iPhone and the one you hold in your hands now, its a lot different right? So wouldn't it be silly and honestly foolish to believe that the websites you use to use during the launch of the first ever iPhone and the all new iPhone 7 would be just as different?
Well if you agreed with me then you're wrong... didnt see that coming did you (Just making sure you're paying attention)
But seriously to think the iPhone and the website has had the same evolved rate is very wrong, the domain Google.com was first registered in 1997, the iPhone in 2007 and in case you have forgotten we are in 2017
The iPhone is loved by some and hated by some, Google is the world leader in searches, When you want someone to look something up on the web you say? Google it! Now when you start telling your friends to iPhone you instead of call me i will start to believe the gap between google and apple may be closing until then i would under that google is leading the online world and is ever evolving to the point where it is almost impossible to keep up to date on how their search engines work.
So yes you can go get you a brand spanking new website for with taxes and fees and add on's about $30 to $40 and it will be basic, no excitement and you will be on page 100 if you're lucky, not to mention the time you will spend actually building the site.
Or you can have a professional do it, yes it costs more (Don't you always get what you pay for? I've never seen Rib Eye on the $9.99 menu) but with a professional company you will not invest a bunch of your valuable time, you will not pull your hair out trying to figure out why you cant even find your own site and the better website construction company's track your site, basically this means we watch for how and when your site is viewed, what your customer do on your site, how long they stay etc, and we use this to continually to evolve your site and SEO just like google, if you launch a website and think its like your sign outside that once its up its getting your name out you have made yet another fatal online mistake.
