Serena 100% gave Jen’s dad gifts for Father’s Day

Oh 100%, Arnell is the closest she’s ever had to a father 😭🥰 she probably spends all this time shopping for him or trying to build him something (even tho she’s not really handy like that lol).

I like to think Arnell knows and goes out of his way to make Serena feel special, too. He stops by their apartment to help with Dad duties! He tells her lame dad jokes! (Jen does too, poor girl is bombarded). He insists that Serena is always included in whatever he’s doing, whether it’s work with the pack or just catching the game on TV with him. There’s a lot of mutual respect and how could Arnell not love the girl who so lovingly coaxed Jen out of her defensive shell? 🥹

I like to think they share a lot of firsts that Serena didn’t have otherwise. First beer with dad? ✅ teaching her to grill? ✅ showing her his patented Arnell Hallowleaf camping tricks? ✅ …these might seem inconsequential, but they mean so very much to Serena. ☺️ and Jen is just happy to spoil her with familial love tbh

Also…They’d have so much fun just dancing together 🥹 Tav stumbles a lot and Jen doesn’t really do like dancing but every time they collide they just hold each other and laugh until they can’t anymore…taking shots off each other (if Serena doesn’t drink a shot out of Jen’s cleavage then whatttt is the point of living?) , maaaaybe even playing a little song??? Tav on guitar and Jen crooning a little country tune in that pretty voice of hers???

I can’t actually do art (my fatal flaw) but this gave me substantial brain rot to do a little sketch and just ponder cowgirl!Serena (and Jen!!! But I can’t draw so we’ll have to imagine her), so thank you 🥹❤️

A little preview for the wait ? 🥹

As she starts the faucet, Jen fishes Serena’s phone from her pocket to set it aside. As she does so, something small clatters to the floor, making several noises on its way down.

Startled, Jen shuts the water off and sets the coat aside, kneeling as she scans the kitchen floor for the mystery item. Jen’s eyes focus intensely, finding nothing- until a glint of light reflects sharply from the corner of her eye.

What Jen finds leaves her breathless, unable to form thoughts, gaping wildly at the object: An elegant diamond ring.

Jen finds her hand shaking slightly as she gingerly lifts the ring between her fingers, studying it properly under the light.

The band itself bears an engraving; Jen dares not to read it, her eyes already blurred with the threat of tears as she realizes that Serena had planned to propose tonight, too, by the looks of it.

Jen’s heart feels alight with a hum of energy; Serena chose this for her. She worked tirelessly to be able to afford a ring like this; all of her extra shifts at the Last Light and her lessons suddenly begin to make sense.

Jen sniffles softly; she was about to become Serena’s fiancée.

In her own nervous fluttering, Jen had failed to realize that Serena was enduring just the same, hoping to find the courage sometime this evening.

‘…and she likely would have, if I didn’t insist on leaving so suddenly…’ Jen realizes, her heart raw and aching.

They were so close, and then…

Also thinking about Jen seeing Serena interacting with kids around town and how soft and sweet she is to them for the first time which just solidifies for her that she wants to have kids with Serena one day

Oh sure, Jen already has baby fever because of the way she treats the kitty 😭 I can’t imagine Jen’s reaction to seeing her with actual human children too. The first time Jen sees how patient she is, and how fun she is (Serena is so the significant other that you bring to a family event and the kids decide is one of their own bc she gives them the time of day)-it’s a done deal.

And it’s funny bc I think Jen probably neverrrrr envisioned having kids with Shar. It wasn’t on the table. And I think she finds Tav infinitely hotter because of it. She’s a people person, she likes kids, she’s open and friendly…I think these are all new and exciting traits for Jen to observe in her partner, and it changes her outlook on what’s possible 🥹

I’ve been watching Smosh lately and I can imagine Astral Prism having a YouTube channel like that where they literally just hang out and play games together and all the Serena and Jen fans make compilations of cute little moments they see between them on the videos

Ugh yesss I feel like an AP content/media channel would do numbers!

Gaming, vlogs, whatever it is- there’s definitely a subset of fans exclusively clipping all the little moments between Jen and Serena. All the times they zone out staring at each other, all the times they whisper and giggle off camera, every time Jen steals a kiss, every pet name they use for each other, every time Serena lets Jen win at the last second. I think fans especially love seeing this side of Shadowheart- it contrasts so heavily with her cool, unaffected act.

One day, they decide to do a Q & A to promote an album and like 90% of the questions are just personal about them and their relationship 😅 Ofc it’s a bit jarring for their relationship to be so…public, but it’s kind of sweet to know so many fans have found their love to be inspiring or comforting in some way.

Sleeping Dogs is one of my favorite games! Amazing storyline and play style! Similar to the Yakuza games but takes place in Hong Kong.
