I'll yap about how I created each of the big three now, I'll start with Cade and Jackson since I gave a brief info dumb on Clara already.

Jackson- oh boy... Jackson Ryder was the second character I came up with, and he along with Clara have their unfortunate c.ai ties. I was in the car bit for dungeon ai and he was just a random character Clara had run into during the 'me all by myself and my delusions' campaign. I picked the name (his original name is redacted for plot spoiling reasons) from a childhood favorite move of mine. And he initially started as the only love interest for Clara, he also started out as a white guy much older than he is portraye now. Insttue looks like this

And I love him a lot more now. He actually had three previous designs that I just didn't end up liking. One only ever made it to the paper finish and the other made it all the way to digital and watermarked (it's l.w. because I write under the pseudonym e.z. and I made the watermark before I picked a pen name.)

The first picture NEVER made it to digital because I just hated it so much, and the second photo made it through the entire process before I realized I hated it. I'll probably use it for another character down the line (I already have a pretty good idea on who) but that boy is not a 26 year old Jackson Ryder, and it's very obvious. The final design ended up a race change because I, after several months of frowning at my screen and paper, decided to give him a third chance. I had gotten stumped on what to do with his hair (unsure if I wanted it long or short) and asked my sister for help and she said "give him dread." And I was skeptical but I tried it and OH MY GOD did it just tie everything together. And it even gave me more information for world building (to be discussed later).

Cade- he was originally not going to be in the books at all. I was actually trying to draw the art for Jackson at the time (sketch 0.5/3 attempts for Jackson)

And you guys see how he looks, right? At the time, I saw he turned out and the personality behind him and thought "this is so not a Jackson Ryder kind of guy." But I had already a small list of potential names and I saw Cade and was immediately hooked- and Cade Tyler has such an asshole ring to it, that it just fits really well, you know? Because this book is an enemies to lovers love triangle and I just have to make things complicated for myself. Jackson is 26 and I believe Cade is 32 orrrr 240 (I haven't decided what makes more sense to me), I think he's just going to be 32 (idk, I'm an age-gap girlie I think I'm gonna for with 32-36 there abouts), and Clara is 23.

Clara- My amazing mercenary fmc (⁠ ⁠˘⁠ ⁠³⁠˘⁠)⁠♥. I already mentioned she started out as just the filler character I used as my c.ai persona, and that a chat I had was what started the book writing madness. But she grew into some much more than that in such a short time frame. She went from just looking like me to having her own personality (me if I weren't socially awkward and less of a people pleaser), and her own backstory. eventually I stopped using the chat bot and have been building the story, lore, maps, characters, themes, and plot around the small amount of content I had been able to get out of that chat ever since. It'll officially have been a year around April, I believe I started near the end of April 2024.

Here's Clara, Cade, and Jackson all together and all looking beautiful!

The process for making these pieces was a mix of traditional and digital work. I started on paper with each character sketch and then when I was happy with the finally product I took a picture and did the line art digitally and then shaded. For this third picture I just made the base/original sketch visible underneath the digital line art, which I thought had a really cool affect.

This handsome fella is Jackson Ryder, he is the third and final main character of my series. This book is think will feel the same vibes as acotar and from blood and ash (my two favorite book series) and follows similar themes while also being it's own story.

I'm only coming up on year one of writing, and I realize this project may take me years, so I'm hoping you guys would be gracious enough to have some patience and stick around as things develop!

This is my beautiful main character Clara Evans, she may be a little bit of a self insert visually speaking because I started with her as a place holder persona for c.ai, and part of my story even came from a dnd roleplay with the c AI bot Dungeon AI

I KNOW how bad that sounds, but it only started there and I would never condone using ai to write an entire book... but as maybe a prompt suggester? Absolutely, it's a wonderful tool to get the ball rolling.

I was on the bot and really liked the way the conversation was progressing and thought "this would be such a cool book idea, I would read this if it ever got written." And then I realized, *I* could, why wait who knows how long for someone else to have the idea and then write it?

Anyways, I hope you guys like the art, and I'll give some background information for each character and maybe some vague plot or a scene if anyone shows interest (bare in mind I'm not the greatest writer, so grammar mistakes are bound to happen! Some unfinished fanart of Sunny Day Jack I've been working on over the last half of this week.
