E4 Ident: 30 Second Animation
For my E4 idea i wanted to animate someone falling because i had been inspired by a specific shot of a piece of animation that I enjoyed on youtube. Pork Soda Spinimation:
youtube
It was interesting piece of animation that i wanted to explore. However i struggled to think of a unique idea that would fit the E4 Ident theme.
youtube
I decided to move away from the drowning/floating aspect of the animation that had inspired me and think of other themes. I opted to go with falling and with that i began to think of Alice and Wonderland, specifally when she falls down the rabbit hole
youtube
With this inspiration of both Alice and the animation that had originally triggered my inspiration I’ve come up with an idea that follows the ‘plotline’ of Alice falling but taking a strange E4 abstract turn. Using the Pork Soda Spinimation vibrant and abstract colour scheme i wish to apply to the alice falling through the hole and falling into the E4 logo.

Bentley: Sting Project
For the Bentley sting i have chosen to do something fun and unexpected from Bentley. I have begun to look at Bentley’s and posh car owner history and how rockstars are the ones to buy them and lead to trashing them.
I want to create a stop-motion piece that explores the wild side of bentely rather than the more posh/sophisticated side. Something that would stand out amongst other car adverts/sting.
In association with Bentley and rockstars, specifically dead ones. I’ve planned out an animation with ‘rocking skeletons’ on top of Bentley as they burst out from the ground of a graveyard.
I’ve turned to Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride for inspiration and design for the skeleton’s specifically the musical sequence “Remains of the Day” where several skeletons are seen using instruments.

Nick Nacks: Sting Project
For the animated advert we have to create i have started the project by looking at previous adverts created for the product. These adverts are oddly bizarre and make little to no sense hence the reason they stand out.

With this in mind the goal for this animation to be bizarrely odd and stand out in it’s strange way of promoting the product.

Her own Interpretation:

Her work was the first piece of animation that helped me understand that animation was something you could do. Her story on how she originally was a fan of something then ended up working and helping with the same project they were inspired by inspires me.
