But he skips the niceties every time, pulling you into him as soon as you’re at his front door. He’s all hands all night, reminding you with every thrust that he hates you and hates the person he is with you. But nonetheless, he still proudly wears your marks around and leaves bruises on your hips and neck. Pretty purple bruises to accompany the emotional one’s he left. Match made in hell.

it’s crazy looking back at how i felt a month ago

I wish I could take it back, so you never knew. It would be so much fucking easier if you never knew, if it was just me drowning in my own head at the thought of what it could’ve been if I had never sunk the boat, only ever coming up for air to grab onto the fragments I had of you. but those fragments were made of glass, and my hands would bleed every time I reached for you. Even me drowning in my own pain, grasping onto the idea of you while you remained blissfully ignorant, would be better than you knowing. Oh how I wish I could take it all back. Part of me thinks you knew, though. My head screams at me telling me that you knew all along, and you hated it but you liked it. You hated that I wanted you so bad, but you liked it. You liked it just enough to watch me bleed, but not enough to bandage up my wounds. My heart, heavy in my chest, grasps onto the thought of you as a good person. I wish you never fucking knew, but you do.

And now everyone gets to watch me drown while you’re safe at shore, having never even boarded the boat.
