Swallowing and blinking a bit at Gwen's reaction, Huu's lips parted, an understanding "ah" passing through them before she looked down at her hands once more. She supposed that was definitely something she didn't really have the right to question Gwen about, seeing the fact that she knew next to nothing about what the woman was going through. She blinked at her next question, raising her brows and shaking her head slightly. "Can't... Can't say I do."

Gwen eyes narrowed considerably at Huu’s question. She leaned forward from her seat and moved in close to her face, now giving off a slightly threatening vibe. “If it were, I would get rid of the thing that caused it.” Her lips curled in disgust as the question burrowed further into her mind. Although Gwen didn’t show it often, this mutation felt like nothing but a curse. She figured since she had it, she might as well try to enjoy it. “Do you know what it’s like to want to murder everyone you meet?

Huu glanced up at the question, shrugging a bit and suddenly becoming conscious off the fact that she had been nearly mutilating her fingers. "More like dissatisfaction with my manicure, though it could be spurred by the situation, sure," she said, shoulders rising and falling once again before she folded her hands in her lap and tilted her head a bit toward Gwen. "It's not caused by anything?" she started suddenly, keeping her voice quiet but curious at the idea of her mutations.

Gwen didn’t respond to Huu’s question. Instead she responded with a smirk. She sat back in her seat, studying Huu as she played with her nails. “Nervous habit?” She questioned. Gwen was quite honestly curious, human ticks always interested her.

"Am I wrong to?" Huu asked seriously, raising a brow up toward Gwen as she sat down and took her coat off. She laid it over the back of her chair and then smiled up toward the waitress as she thought about her order. "Just a light and sweet regular coffee," she said, folding her hands on the table before picking at her nails.

Gwen entered after Huu, smirking at her choice of seats. “You must trust me.” She stated as she took a seat next to her. Gwen couldn’t understand why, she was a dangerous, murderous monster. As much as she didn’t want to believe it, there was good, pure humans in the world. Gwen couldn’t decide if that annoyed her more, or pleased her. Her thoughts were interrupted as a petite, brunette waitress asked if they were ready to order. “A latte please.” Gwen responded with a sincere smile. “And you, Huu?” She questioned, turning her attention away from the waitress.

"Awh, well," Huu started, smiling warmly, "that's nice of you. But with enough time there's usually something to be picked out about my personality or something that makes someone think I'm weird." She shrugged. "Eccentric is perhaps a better word. Overly eccentric."

Aele listened quietly to the other as questions cropped up, “Why would they call you weird?” Her head tilted slightly, “I do not think you are weird… even if we have barely met, I do not get that feeling.”

"Good, good," Huu said with a few short nods, happy she had been able to get her way in that much at least. Maybe Gwen didn't have any need for money, but perhaps she'd count it as a way of saying thanks for volunteering herself to walk her through Gotham. She wasn't sure how long she was staying in the city, but for now, she was glad she had Gwen around. When the cafe was in front of them, Huu nodded her thanks to Gwen before entering and selecting a table, sitting with her back to the door with enough faith in Gwen to make sure that whoever entered wasn't going to cause any trouble.

Gwen tapped her index finger against her chin, pretending to be deep in thought. “Hm, I suppose not.” She replied with a small chuckle. It was understandable that Huu was comfortable with controlling someone against their will. Anyone with solid morals would be uncomfortable with that. Morals, Gwen cringed at the word. She had always thought morals were what held people back from having real fun, or at least her idea of fun. “We’re here, doll.” Gwen opened the door to a small cafe and motioned for Huu to enter first. “Sit wherever you like.”

Huu hummed for a moment, making a face. "It won't hurt you at all to have someone else pay for you, right?" she said with a laugh. "I'm just not entirely at ease with the thought of controlling someone against their will," she added, shrugging. "No loss to you either way." She smiled up at her before looking up and down the street they were walking on. "How much further?" she asked almost timidly.

Gwen shook her head at Huu’s offer. “That’s sweet, but we have no need for money. I can control minds, I can get anything I please.” A sudden thought raced through her mind, what if Huu preferred to do things as normally as possible. Perhaps it would make her feel more comfortable. “Although, if you really want to, I won’t stop if you.”

Huu paused for a moment, blinking toward Aele. "I guess because I'm so used to other people calling me weird? I mean if that's the case I should feel like the Queen of Weird and be able to judge anything weird." She hummed for a moment in thought. "I don't know actually. I don't like judging things. Being judgmental isn't really good for people for the most part."

+elliced
Aele smiled slightly as the other girl laughed, “Why?” Her head shook at the question, “Sorry, I mean, why do you feel that way? About being not the best one to judge whether something is weird or not.”

"Oh, sure," Huu replied, surprised for a moment but not enough to let it show. It wasn't that she was surprised that Gwen had a... domestic? side to her, but... No, that was it, actually. She had seemed so almost-hostile beforehand that sitting down and getting a coffee with her seemed like such a step down that she couldn't help but smile. "I'll pay," she said, grinning up at her before taking a few elongated steps to make sure she caught up with her.

Gwen rolled her eyes and responded with a small chuckle. As much as Gwen hated to admit it, staying on the street wasn’t the best course of action. There wasn’t going to be any bloodshed tonight, not while she was with Huu. “You want to go to a cafe? It might be more homey.”

Huu raised a brow at the grin, but let an agreeing nod move her head a few times before shrugging. "Well, that seems to be the most logical thing, I guess. Seeing as I don't have any way to defend myself," she said with an awesome teasing air before looking around and following after her at her warning.

A devilish grin spread across Gwen’s face which she was so famous for. “Well darling, I must warn you, if we run into any trouble I will handle it. And I will handle it my way.” Gwen began to head down the street, turning around slightly to see if Huu was following. “I wouldn’t stay there if I were you. Gotham is pretty violent this time of night.”

Tensing a bit as Gwen--muuutant, Huu's mind signaled--touched her face, she nodded her forgiveness, not sure if she would be able to speak with the anger still residing in her vocal chords. The hug came as a surprise, a tiny almost-squeak escaping her as she was pulled to be held against Gwen. For a moment her arms found their way around her to return the hug, and then she was returning them across her chest as she blinked at her. "I suppose you're probably the best one for that, then," she muttered, looking around, "seeing as I don't know anyone else here and you have your abilities... Whatever comes with mutations."

Gwen reached her hand up to touch Huu’s cheek. It really did hurt Gwen when she caused this woman pain. Although they had just only met, Gwen considered Huu to be a friend. “Huu, I’m sorry.” She removed her hand and pulled her in for a hug. It was slightly awkward since Gwen wasn’t use to hugging anybody ever. Years and years had gone by since Gwen made any attempt to be friendly towards another human being. “I don’t want you to go. My night would be much too boring.” A devious smirk grew across Gwen’s face as she broke away from the hug. “I guess you’ll just need a guide, that’s all.”

Huu pursed her lips in thought for a moment, tilting her head at the girl as she spoke. "Say it to the right person and I suppose it could be seen a bit... weird," she said, punctuating it with a shrug. "I'm not exactly the best one to judge whether something's weird or not, though," she added with a laugh.

+elliced
She bit her lip, “Uhm…” Aele thought for a moment, should she say the truth? “I just like to look at them. The few that I find interesting I sort of make observations…” The girl’s eyebrows furrowed slightly as she tried to explain without really explaining it all. It was an odd thing to be taking random photos, even more odd that she prints them an places them in her studies. “Is that… weird?”

Huu's frown, much like her smile had behaved, stayed on her face as she looked at the hand on her shoulder and then at Gwen as she pulled her hand away. She wasn't angry so much as she was offended, she hoped Gwen knew. It wasn't the fact that Gwen had said it, it was the fact that Gwen had said it. The instinctive retaliation was acted out almost before Huu had had time to think. "Well..." she started, rubbing her eyebrow against the frustrated tears that stung at the back of her eyes. "I can go home, then; it's not like I'm wandering through the slums with a giant sign saying I'm defenseless, though."
+elliced
Gwen placed a hand on Huu’s shoulder, her face seemed to fill with regret. “Huu..that’s-” Gwen removed her hand before facing the ground. It was obvious she had offend Huu, which was really not something she wanted to do. Normally it would’ve have bothered her, but Gwen saw a potential friend in her. “I meant this city isn’t safe for people that don’t have a way to defend themselves.” Gwen mentally face palmed. Great, another insult. “I mean, the criminals here are cut throat. Unless you can’t die or have a rifle hidden somewhere, you could easily get hurt.”

"Good idea," she returned, turning to leave. "Hope you treat your audience better than you do random strangers. I don't know how well the bitch act sells, though."

"Oh, touchy, all right," Huu breathed, looking around. "I'm sure I could make a few guesses," she added coolly. "What with the stage and the blonde and whatnot."
*+elliced
“Well to be quite frank it is none of your fucking business,” she smiled sarcastically down at her from the stage.
