How to Make a Proper Wish
[The page is loose, clearly not from the journal. The paper has aged considerably, and it’s kept as flat as possible in the journal. The edges are frayed. The writing is significantly different, clearly from another person’s hand.]
1. Pick an important day. Birthday, wedding day, a specific summer day, a day that means anything to you!
2. Glass bottles, paper, and a minimum of two wishes and two people are required!
3. Wishes can be anything, and you can have as many as you want. Write them down on your piece of paper.
4. Fold the wish or wishes as many times as you have wishes. (1 wish, 1 fold. 28 wishes, 28 folds.)
5. Exchange wishes with the other person, but don’t peak, that’s rude. Don’t say what your wish is out loud, or you’ll curse it!
6. Place the wish in the bottle, and give it a good luck kiss goodbye.
7. At the same time with each other, bless the wish onto its journey, helping it as far as you can into the sea. (Rivers work too!)
8. Pray that someone helps your wish along, and lets it free one day. When your wish comes true, it’s finally safe to say what it is!
9. Remember your wish, so it can remember to find you when it’s set free.

Pages 89-96
[There’s nothing written on the pages themselves. There’s dozens and dozens of small cranes, pasted carefully onto the pages. The cranes vary in color, some simple solid block colors, some in colorful complex patterns, and noticeably there’s some that are slightly larger that seem to be old labels from various goods that were purchased, likely from Pandaria due to the Pandaren script that can be read.
On the starting page 89, there’s evidence of the page being burnt. What is left are a few singed cranes, and the remains of a small piece of paper that seems to be where the flame started. The next page is slightly singed as well.]

[There’s nothing written on the page itself. There’s a small, colorful folded paper bracelet that could only possibly fit a child. Each square is a different color, with a different background or pattern that suggests they used to be part of a larger drawing. Some of the squares suggest drawings or scrawl from a child’s hand. Other squares show unfinished pieces by more experienced hands. Dark red spots can be seen splattered across a portion of it. It sits on the page, pasted flat against it, having been ripped in half.]

Pages 62-63
[Part of the original journal pages. It has been previously dog-eared, the crease still in the upper corner of the page. There’s four inserts that stick out barely along the side of the page.]
I fucking should’ve noticed sooner.
Recent mission was a fucking disaster. Sent out with a small team of three to search and find some who’ve gone missing for too long. The target they were supposed to scout out killed and raised them. We found them, had to kill them again, and ideally bring their bodies back. Areas of their bodies were rapidly decayed already from what killed them. Should have been our first clue.
We ran into the target, the Death Knight that killed them. Ambushed Halloran, couldn’t do anything, fucking Death Knight kept us from him. Wouldn’t have mattered anyway. Cut Sedori along abdomen and nicked my knee before we could kill it. Seemed easy enough to quickly patch up. Decided we couldn’t bring back the bodies, so we collected anything that could be used to identify them as them for their families if they had any left, and burned the bodies to prevent them from being raised again.
[There’s several inserts, dyed a dull grey blue, with names and a short description written on them:
Halloran Sunseeker - killed, stabbed in chest cavity, burned to prevent raising
Mathias Moore - killed, found as undead, burned to prevent raising
Sedori Crimsonshield - injured, rapid and aggressive abdominal infection, death two days later
Meiel Sundream - killed, found as undead, burned to prevent raising]
Should have noticed from the two previously killed, and what infection had time to set in before Halloran bled out. Should have kept a closer eye on Sedori, and noticed own symptoms. Even though closed what I could for Sedori to get back to base, didn’t get rid of infection. Anything cut with that Death Knight’s runeblade started an unnaturally aggressive and rapid infection of only Light knows what. Turns out by the time we noticed she still wasn’t right, most of it had spread to the organs within a few hours and had started to come back through where I fixed. We tried to keep her alive, but I don’t think if we even got her to a higher level of care sooner, I don’t know if she’d have still made it.
I didn’t even notice my own infection in my leg. Fucking stupid mistakes. Passed out several hours after we noticed Sedori’s infection. Had a high fever, infection spread rapidly from my knee to the majority of my leg. If the state of my infection was anything to go by, imagining what the inside of Sedori’s abdomen looked like was horrifying.
Druids are baffled, priests are baffled, all manner of healers are fucking baffled by how aggressive this is. Can’t walk on it anymore. They keep suggesting to amputate it. Quickest and fastest way to get rid of it before it can get more out of hand, and deal with whatever might remain. Fuck that. Fuck them. They can’t do anything more here other than keep it where it’s at, they’re forcing me to Dalaran, probably back to Quel’thalas after that. Fucking stupid mistakes, get stupid results.

Charge: Rhialan Palewhisper
[A much older paper that has been stuck in the journal. It’s carefully folded into four sections. A small corner that would be traditionally dyed a color has been burned off, the edges suggesting the dye was once of a blue or green nature. It is stuck closer to the binding.]
Charge found outside in freezing conditions of Icecrown. Suffering from hypothermia and neck wound. After initial assessment, vocal chords are heavily damaged if not destroyed, and charge will suffer from paralysis, possibly permanent.
Current Treatment: After treating hypothermia, monitor until charge wakes up to assess severity of paralysis. Close neck wound, do daily treatments to jump repairing of internal damage.
[A small insert has been pasted here] After initial assessment, paralysis includes lower half of the body and up to partial paralysis of upper half. Can move arms and hands with difficulty. If no marked improvement after several days, paralysis may be permanent. No ability to speak, should not be able to for several weeks long after released from my care. Current plan persists: continue daily monitoring and treatments for neck to watch for improvements or possible worsening.
Cause of Condition: Arrow remarkably went clean through neck. Shock from arrow may have damaged spinal cord, causing paralysis. Spent several hours in open conditions in Icecrown.
** 7 days after initial assessment — paralysis only to lower half, marked improvement in mobility of arms and hands. Able to sit up unassisted. Throat shows little to no improvement, but has not worsened.

Page 72
[An older page in her journal. There’s evidence of frequent visitation as the edges are worn thinner than the rest of the page. Several parts of the script seemed to have been added over time or scratched out. Dates line the edging of the paper, followed by numbers.]
Theory: I have phantom symptoms from my experiences with forcing the Light through M’uru.
One of the healers forced this theory down my throat while I tried to assist in my own healing of my leg that may not be entirely wrong. She observed me seemingly overcoming physical pain as I called the Light and proceeded to ask me questions. She recieved first hand experience of loss of mental stability, as I irrationally became uncontrollably angry over the prospect that I tried to strangle her. Took several priests to remove me.
Current Possible Effects: Still suffer from painful headaches that start behind my eyes. Headaches may be followed by chest pains. Intense ringing in my ears may appear separately or together with the aforementioned symptoms. Mental instability is a risk as I have a tendency to either become catatonic (rare) or extremely aggressive (most common reaction). Resurgence of experiencing additional emotional reactions.
Prior Effects: Prior symptoms included the above. Additional possible side effects included nosebleeds, bleeding from the ears, blood shot eyes, and auditory hallucinations. Death a possibility.
Theory by the healer is that I’m experiencing psychosomatic effects from using the Light despite it being over a year. Claims it to be from the trauma of it all. With everything else, takes time to fade. Keep track of instances over time.
[A date of about a year after the previous entry precede the following paragraph.] Channeling the Light for extended periods reveals increased risk to side effects. Chanting or singing hymns as a focusing point seem to reduce or at least delay the side effects until later.
[Newer script starts here. There’s a small tag sticking to the page marking it with a date of a few months prior to her joining the Company.] Still experiencing lingering symptoms as to date. Effects are hit or miss. Noted instances of bad reactions are decreasing however. Dealing with short term use for charges seems to be safest use of the Light without experiencing side effects over the course of the previous years. Offensive use, over usage, or channeled use of the Light results in side effects resurfacing more often.

Fireweed Tincture
[The page is folded in such a way that it can easily hook around her four section folded pages. A small corner of it is stained a teal color.]
Mortar & pestle, fireweed*, rain poppy, twilight jasmine, vials
1. Three leaves of fireweed. Used tweezers to remove from herb to place in mortar.
2. Half vial of milk of rain poppy. Once added to fireweed, will immediately boil.
3. Twilight Jasmine**. Must cut down along stem to bleed out liquid and burn off remainder. Cover nose and mouth during burning process to avoid smoke inhalation. Add to mortar.
4. Crush together with pestle. Mixture will continue to boil from 2.
5. Should be enough for a small vial, single dose.
6. Let cure for approximately 7 days before usage.
*Fireweed concoction: Under no circumstances should a full dosage be given to other patients that exhibit extreme hypothermia or under the process of being frozen. Will most likely boil alive other users after certain time frame if effects persist up to a week for charge.
**Twilight Jasmine contains hallucinogenic. Use caution during this step. Burning process happens rapidly, producing a large and sudden cloud of smoke which I assume will also cause hallucinations when inhaled.

Charge: Kelarion Bloodveil
[The paper has been added fairly recently, stuck into the journal. It’s carefully folded into four sections, with one of the corners stained with a rouge color and another stained with a dark cherry red. When resting in the journal, it sticks out along the side, the rouge color peaking out.]
Charge has history of heart attacks. Currently should be monitored for symptoms to prevent further damage.
Current Treatment: Reduce or removal of stress on the body, requires follow up with professional to assess damage on heart.
Cause of Condition: Suddenly discontinued main source of magic intake approximately over a year ago as of the Nazjatar trip, mid-July. Páliar most likely could not function correctly quick enough, and charge suffered severe magic withdrawal that would have led to a rapid breakdown in proper metabolic functions.
** as of suspension, have been acting as primary care for condition. See additional papers for further most recent information.

Charge: Periel Sylvenfield
[The paper has been added fairly recently, stuck into the journal. It’s carefully folded into four sections, with one of the corners stained with a teal color. When resting in the journal, it sticks out along the side, the color peaking out.]
Charge has chronic condition of extreme and sudden onset hypothermia and leads to eventually fatal freezing of the body if left unchecked.
Current Treatment: Self-made tincture that heavily is based on the use of fireweed. Recipe calls for 3 leaves of fireweed, half vial of milk of Rain Poppy, thorns and petals of Twilight Jasmine*. Takes approximately a week to cure. Of as early August, takes weekly or when side effects occur orally.
*requires plant liquid to be bled and burned off or risk hallucinogenic effects
Cause of Condition: Spine replacement. New spine heavily enchanted with ice magic. Charge believes as time went on, the more the enchantment seeped from replacement into the body, causing chronic hypothermia that will eventually lead to death. From observations, may be enchantment seeping on top of the páliar not being able to properly process the excess magic into a safe form. Side effects seem to more readily manifest due to stress. Currently no permanent cure.
