At some point, we had realized we were in an unfavorable pattern in our relationship that neither of us wanted to be in & definitely didn't want to stay in. So, I suggested couple's therapy, preferably with a therapist and he suggested a self-help book stating that we attempt to fix ourselves before paying money to a professional. Alright. I went into research mode, looking for a couple's "self-help" book that would help us both (and me alone, as a hunch advised) & found this book. I sent him what I shared, told him he buy his book and I'd buy mine (more of a test to his committment, if I'm being honest). He did and when our books arrived, we agreed to reading a chapter before bed and discussing what we read the next day. I read my chapter before bed, annotating as I did, & the next day, I was ready to discuss. He wasn't. He assured me he would though. So, that night, I continued & read another chapter, writing annotations along the way, ready to discuss both chapters the next day. He read it, but didn't make it as far as I did. We discussed it, but not completely. Then, one day or night, he spilled some water on his book & told me it was ruined & there was no way he could read it. This disheartened me as there was so much useful information I know would have helped us. Well... I guess there was no point in me finishing the book because we got it to help us as a couple. I didn't listen to my hunch. I go visit him for a weekend & noticed this book with his other books & it was not in an unreadable ruined state, as I was told. Only a few pages were crumpled & these pages were readable. I pointed out the book, mentioned what he had said about the book, & was told that I misunderstood what he said. Oh... ok... Neither of us ever went back to read it. Now I'm left to wonder whethere reading it, as we had discussed, would have made a difference? Or whether me finishing the book on my own, as my hunch has advised, would have saved us both a lot of time? #icelandpurespringwater is the most tasteless water I have ever had. I mean it. Every bottled water I've had always had some sort of taste to it. Some is sweet, some is elastic, some is filtered (you can taste what has been taken out and what has been replaced, if that makes sense), Arrowhead tastes like dirt; they all have a taste. This is the FIRST time a bottled water didn't taste like any kind of water I have ever had.
