Marks of Immortality (Present Timeline) - The Immortal Nexus is a rare phenomenon among the immortals, as it's only used through the power of strong intimacy and willpower. As the marks of immortality unite, they create a link that bind the two people in body and soul. When Hei'an Yun found out the truth about Huoyan Liu's betrayal, he went berserk and fought with him. Being overwhelmed with madness and grief, he fell from the cliff and Liu jumped after him. He tried to find him in the deep waters and managed to do so as Yun's immortality symbol glowed. Liu grabbed him and swam to the seashore, finding out his heartbeats were weakening. He used the Immortal Nexus to save him, draining his immortal power for him. Liu's immortality symbol is on his chest whereas Yun's is on his forehead.
