follow up to the ask about knowing if anyone has been financially compensated (should have just put it all into one ask, sorry), do you know if anyone has at least received an apology from Qstudios/been asked about their feedback on working on asp in order to not repeat the same mistakes?

also, to you and the others twitter admins, i wanna say a big thank you! what you were doing really added to my personal qsmp experience, making it easy to follow what was going on and highlighting all the best moments. It’s something I dearly miss when following another smp now. thank u <3

no twitter admin was ever given anything, especially not from q himself. one of the people trusted to manage the social media supervisors did say "we greatly appreciate your love for the project! this by no means reflects negatively nor does it diminish in way all the incredibly amazing performance of every one of you" which was sweet in concept but more or less soulless as a message in a channel no one could reply to.

no reply, no acknowledgement of us being removed from the account (and likely replaced with robots or one single staff member for a minute there), and no apology. just given that previous quote, brief notice that the account would not be reinstated, and then kicked from the server. i was just lucky enough to have left an hour or less before on my own terms.

can you tell us if you or any other unpaid/underpaid admins have been financially compensated for your work since the qsmp ending ?

if any of them have, I don't know about it.

there's an argument to be made, definitely, that since we did go in under the title of volunteer that we did not deserve to be compensated. however it was a very strict work environment where you had to be showing up for at least a full time job's worth of work (or more, if you were like me and a few others on the various teams), and due to the strictness the teams were greatly understaffed.

genuinely really disappointing to find out that the intention for someone working as much as myself and my team did (I covered tubbo and badboyhalo most often, sometimes foolish, meaning that I was up for majority of my days watching and updating streams amidst classes and work) was to eventually get paid, only for us to get let go very simply and with 0 thanks from a single person.

if anyone has been compensated, I know they weren't on my team, but a lot of them are successfully doing work for some really cool streamers now!

What are your takes on qsmp 2 being made?

honestly I didn't watch the stream and I am still in denial hoping it's a purgatory 3 or an event or smth! if it is qsmp 2 my genuine and real hope is that the team behind it is treated fairly and compensated, which if quackity is wise he will do himself. I was very passionate about the original project when I got to be a part of it, and I trust the new team will be too.

I think some of you need to start listening to the old and upcoming new qsmp admins and workers behind the upcoming and old failed project.

feels much easier to do this on tumblr, if anyone has any questions about it was like to work on the qsmp social media team the first time around, feel free to ask questions! I worked on @/qsmpen on twitter and co-supervised the english team and updates, fully volunteer work for about 4-12hrs per day. I also supervised the green team updates during purgatory 1.

you might be seeing posts saying "let's hope there isn't a repeat of the unfair work conditions that happened the first time around," and i'd be happy to provide my two cents as someone that was part of that first time around. feel free to send questions to the inbox!
