Just found these random pics in my gallery of when I was making Ivy hair, and I nearly lost it looking at the first pic...

I was such a noob back then—this alone took me over 40 minutes. Even though it was the second hair I released, it was actually the first one I ever made from scratch in Blender. I still remember how proud I was after finishing the mesh… only to realize (after weight testing) that I'd forgotten to reset the sim's head position. So when I imported the hair into s4s and checked it in-game, the whole thing was misaligned 😅

To make matters worse, I hadn't yet developed the habit of backing up my progress. The thought of having to start all over again was so crushing that I gave up on it for a while and switched to editing an EA mesh instead. That attempt eventually became Sammy hair. I posted it on Tumblr, Patreon, and other platforms, not expecting much. But to my surprise, many people liked it, despite its flaws. That gave me the confidence boost I needed to reopen Blender and redo Ivy hair from scratch.

The third and fourth pics here are from that second attempt. It went a little smoother than the first time, but it still took ages, with countless rounds of testing and fixing. In the end, though, I was really happy with how it turned out, and with the sim I specifically made to showcase it (whom I sadly lost forever when my save got corrupted).

Ivy hair is far from perfect. There are gaps between the mesh pieces, and I never even made a proper hat chop, so it still reverts to the original EA hair when paired with hats.

But despite its flaws, it's still my favorite out of all the hairs I've made. It’s even named after my own English name. It represents the first step I took toward becoming a cc creator. Honestly, I feel like I could never recreate that same effect now, no matter how much I've improved. I can't seem to find that version of myself anymore. That's why I put so much heart into the revamp version of Ivy hair. I wanted to use my slightly better skills to make up for what I couldn't achieve back then—to finally do justice to the reference picture I was aiming for. Though not many people ended up using the revamped version, it still meant a lot to me.

Anyway, this is just a little reflection. You probably won't make it this far, but if you did, I genuinely appreciate it.

01. You must create two outfits inspired by the aesthetics of each world (We'll start with the first nine.)

02. You can be inspired by the different neighborhoods, colors, climate, buildings or other elements of the world (It would be great if you could share what inspired you to create the outfits.)

03. You can use a townie from that world as a model or create your own sim.

04. You are free to use cc.

05. You can complete it in the order you prefer.
