#tf2 #sniperspy #sniper tf2 #spy tf2 #fem fortress #the framed shots are from an earlier segment that I did not quote in the blurb #god i love giving sniper a bright red blush i think she deserves it #i know the second passage illustrated in the second framed shot is refering to something....different...but #the wall kiss is foreplay or. something. okok #also the framing hides the state of sniper's bottom-wear so—#spy's long flowy scarf is for Aesthetic reasons bc she doesn't have long flowy hair to draw #okokok but the aeshtetics of this actually went though a few iterations bc intially i wanted to do that typical thought cloud thing #but then found white clouds were WAY too bright on a dark red background #so i left it at blobs for a bit while working on them #and then somehow came up with a more gothic look for spys luxurious suite with candles as lighting #and went fancy picture frames/mirrors.....yess......#so came the paper texture and glass reflections. and while my friends liked it they thought the frames were memories #hence the cloudy fade was reintroduced to look more imagined #laughs at the amount of layers used for the frames bc I didn't want to paint it by hand (the floral is a brush) but still wanted it fancy #i actually really liked how the candles turned out slkdfhsdlk

#tf2 #sniperspy #sniper tf2 #spy tf2 #fem fortress #i was reading the chapter like hhh oh i want to draw both a rose braided in sniper's hair and spy seeing the dot as a firefly #(and LOOK I know the rose braiding didn't happen but it would have been pretty alright)#but two drawings a lot of work :(#so i took a page out of rev o lutio n ary gir l u t ena and reused the same pose to also get Bonus Symbolism Link Kinda #and honestly it allowed me to reuse a good half of one drawing for the second one #also never. really done an. involved environment like the second one before #happy enough with it i think #i do like the colours and feeling of the first one more though #enjoying experimenting with these sorts of scene illustrations to convey the images the writing invokes in my mind #and yse i know sniper's shirt is missing the emblem but I think the coherentness looks better without it #also sniper can have a couple of plain red shirts. as a treat #anyway. i should. also get to sewing the m s paul i ng cosplay at some point skdflhsd rip
