Why is is that when I finally have time to play the Sims after a long while it doesn't want to cooperate?

I keep getting that stupid "ask to read book" or whatever bookshelf/picker interaction every other minute. I have been trying to get my sims to cook together for the better half of an hour now.

2️⃣ I do gameplay/legacy posts and when it comes to the houses that I have had in my legacies so far, a couple of them were from the @fleuraliasave and then the most recent ones, like the Willoughby house in Windenburg, was a shell from the gallery which I decorated. My other two legacies currently live in apartments, one which I downloaded and redecorated a little and the other which I decorated myself lol.

What mods do you have in your game? Ps. your sims are so lovely you make my day every time you post!

Could you be a bit more specific? 😅 I have a lot of different mods in my game for different reasons.

I'm so bad at theoretical questions. 😅 I'm going with Elsbeth even though she's never been in a serious relationship yet haha.

I imagine that if she found someone who she wanted to settle down with and this person broke up with her than she would feel angry and insulted like, "Who the hell does this guy think he is letting someone like ME go!?" But then she would get over it pretty quickly and go on the hunt for her next man lol.

The Willoughby family's two STEM girlies. Maddox has been really into astronomy lately and has even built some model rockets. Dae loves that her sister is so into it and they have started studying the stars every weekend.

📩 Simblr question of the day: It's time to appreciate the small things! What's a small detail from one of your posts that you love? Could be a small tattoo on a sim, specific clutter in a sims' room, a little detail in a render or screenshot, whatever is applicable to you (p.s. I've been scouring simblr, and I've noticed people don't like how picky SQOTD feels, so please! Share around SQOTD asks, anon or not, I'm only one person and can't find and ask every person on simblr ~ 💛)

I love including items in a sims' room to allude to their interests that they may not be actively pursuing yet! For example, Daedallys from my toyl is currently in a Robotics club in high school, but before that she had some robot toys in her bedroom.

You can also see the little volcano mock-up and some beach holiday cards from when the fam went to Sulani for her first birthday to tease her young adult goals (she'll be moving to Sulani lol).

This is a hard question for me haha. I suppose, it isn't my post if I don't use my shader and then edit the pictures in photoshop to add more noise, brighten it, and add some dust particles. I've also always used the melancholic reverie eyes (had been using them for a year before I shared them), so my sims don't feel complete without them.
