Me: I’m just gonna write a lil oneshot of Huntrix meeting for the first time. Just a little one to get a feel for the characters and develop some backstory.

i genuinely cant get over how funny the movie is from zo/mira's pov...like if i were them i would want to shake rumi violently or squeeze her until she pops. what do you mean you posted golden the first day of our break. what do you mean your voice is in trouble but you just cut off our break. what do you mean you just ran away 10 minutes before our show. what do you mean you have an issue with this song we literally just wrote all together- the song you literally had the first idea for. what do you mean by attacking mira's weaknesses when you are very clearly being a fucking freak this weak and we're concerned. what do you mean you won't perform the show that we do tomorrow.

all of this just to say they love her. they love her so fucking much.

I’ve been thinking about Zoey being the glue of her relationships.

Her part in Golden has the visual of Zoey being tugged by two people (presumably her divorced parents). The visual has the two people trying to tear her apart, but it can also be interpreted as Zoey keeping the two glued together. I wonder if she ever felt like she was the only thing keeping two miserable people together. Then, when she found Huntrix, she was able to leave that behind and not have to deal with that kind of stress… at least, that’s what she thought.

Rumi is a depressed, emotionally reserved workaholic, and Mira is an aggressive individual with attachment problems (at least that’s what I got from the movie lol). So I feel like they’re likely to bump heads like what we see in the movie. And Zoey, having something like this happen with her parents, falls back into the role of mediator, trying to keep the two glued together.

I remember Zoey’s line from the train scene: “You know I’m always on your side”, talking to Rumi. And yet we usually see Zoey more with Mira than Rumi. I feel like she plays both sides, trying to find solutions that appeal to them both or find a secret third option.

It’s only at the climax when she finds out that Rumi was keeping a huge secret from them that she takes a side, seemingly for the protection of Mira, herself, and probably the fans. And when the Honmoon rips, Zoey’s the one trying to find solutions while Rumi and Mira are being consumed by their demons (trying to figure out what songs they can sing despite only having songs with 3 person harmonies). We can also see this earlier in the train scene where Zoey pulls Rumi and Mira out of their fight to focus on the giant Honmoon rift.

It’s only when Mira pushes her away and Zoey has no one left to keep together that her demon gets to her.

And in What It Sounds Like, it’s Zoey that the camera shows responds to Rumi first. It’s Zoey that chimes in first. If Rumi isn’t the one at the beginning (bc main character lol), it’s Zoey.

I'm late to this party but the way Mira and Zoey look at Rumi like she's the only person in the room as she literally saves their souls

as they find their way back to one another.

Not to mention this scene where they all look at each other in turn while matching each other's harmony. They make a promise to show each other everything that's underneath from now on, without the lies...

In conclusion: I hope they explode
