"Very good things, if the last party we met at was any indication. But I'd still rather remember tonight in perfect clarity... especially if I get to dance with you."
"Honestly I think you've probably got the right idea. Those things can be lethal. Though sometimes they can lead to goo things too,"

Ember pushed back her hair for the moment, watching Jeremy with curiosity. "You said we were warming up," she pointed out, readying her stance again. "Change your mind?"
In the Training Room @ The Institute
"Come on! You can do better than that it's not even a challenge anymore at this point." Jeremy playfully goads his sparring partner.

Ember laughed, a bit breathlessly given the way that Taryn had knocked the wind out of her. "That obvious?"
"Admittedly, I'm more practiced in hand to hand combat, but throwing a dagger in the mix gets a bit... dicey."

"Clearly dagger work is not you forte," she said after managing to completely disarm them.

Ember laughed again at Fliss' amendment to the statement. "Well, I might try to consciously do that to you, but only with the best of intentions," she promised, tracing a cross above her heart. She hummed in agreement to the Cinderella sentiment. "All apart from the lack of a glass slipper. I very nearly went to Twilight just to ask if anyone there would know you. But I thought that might be silly of me."
The offer of a drink made Ember adopt a mock scowl. "As if I'd let you buy me a drink when I'm the one intruding on your studying... unless you insist, because I don't think I could truly argue with you if I tried." It was a suspicion but a very firmly rooted one, nonetheless.
Fliss laughed and thankfully it only sounded a touch nervous. "I'd never consciously try to do that," although Ember did look very pretty with flushed cheeks. "Maybe emphasis on consciously," she conceded. "But I really was being genuine. I have been hoping to see you again. Felt like a very Cinderella moment at the party,"
Fliss ducked her head with a shy smile. When she glanced back up her breath caught at the way the other girl was looking at her. She hadn't quite broken the habit of breathing yet. And then there it was. That pretty blush on Embers cheeks she'd been thinking about a few moments earlier. "Oh you won't be, it'll keep," she said closing the text book. "Can I get you something to drink?"

"Fliss thinks the world of you, at least from what I've heard... I guess I just wanted to clear the air about everything."

"I'm not seeing anything about the ancients in this. It's more so talking about the origins of vampires," Ember called over.

"Hoping, huh? You're just trying to make me blush, aren't you?" Ember questioned, her grin only deepening. It was nice to think she'd been on the vampire's mind in the time since the party. Very nice.
"You don't give yourself enough credit," she replied, taking in the beauty of Fliss in a quite obvious way. The fact that she hadn't dreamt the vampire up entirely was such a relief in itself, but the fact that she was genuinely so sweet and stunning made it all the better. Her compliment did make Ember blush a bit then, especially with the accompanying once-over. She nodded in reply to the question. "I would like nothing more. If you're sure I wouldn't be distracting you."
"Thanks," she accepted the pencils with a sheepish smile. Her smile became brighter at Ember's words though. The thought to go knocking at the Institute door had briefly occurred to her but she'd dismissed it as utter lunacy. "I'm glad you did as well, it's nice to see you too. I've been hoping I would,"
Once again she was quite sure she'd be blushing if she was still human. "I'm sure the glitter helped a lot," she said with a small self conscious laugh. "But you look just as beautiful as you did then," yep would definitely be blushing. Fliss couldn't believe the words had actually left her mouth. Still, they were true and she couldn't stop her gaze giving the other girl a once over. "Umm," she forced herself to focus. "Would you like to join me?"

"I don't know exactly. I guess because we haven't known each other very long?"
Cece frowned a little, “What made you think that?”

Ember stifled a giggle at the startled response she received. She got up too to bend down and help gather the pencil case and its few escaped contents before handing them to the other girl. "Well, much as I'd like to play all magical and romantic and say I've been searching for you, it's more so that I just happened to pick the right coffee shop to pop into," she replied with a grin. "I'm glad that I did too. It's nice to see you again, Fliss."
"And it's nice to know that you're just as cute even without all of the Magnus Bane glitter on your skin."
Fliss frowned down at her text book as Ember's scent found her. Had she been thinking about her so much she'd actually started having sensory hallucinations? It had been hard not to given how abruptly their time together had ended. She felt a jolt of shock when she heard the nephilims voice, her head shot up. "Ember," she stood up, sending her notebook and pencil case scattering to the floor. "Shit," she mumbled to herself, sure she'd be bright red if she still blushed. Fliss crouched to pick it all up. "What are you doing here? actually.." she gave a flustered laugh, "it's a coffee shop, it's probably pretty obvious why you're here,"

Ember was just finishing up on her run when she decided to pop in to a café to grab some coffee for her and Andromeda to have before their patrol shift. But her attention was caught by a familiar face sitting at one of the tables there. Fliss. She'd been thinking about the vampire quite a bit since the party's ending had abruptly split them apart, and now she was here. Talk about a chance of fate. Ignoring the coffee mission, she walked over to the other girl's table, taking the spare seat and flashing her a small smile. "Long time no see, gorgeous stranger."

"I know. Hayden's really upped the regimens, hasn't he?" She replied from where she was stretching in the corner.

"Um... can I know who you're looking for first?"
"I'm actually looking for someone. Can you point me in the direction of the Institute?" Michael asks.

"Don't mention it." Ember raised a brow then, an amused smile on her face. "Corrupt me? Do you think I'm that innocent or something?"
"More in what way? Or is that all I'm gonna get?"
“I’ve very grateful,” he smiled at the girl, bowing his head slightly. “Then I won’t corrupt your mind with the details,”
Vidarr considered it for a moment, “From what I’ve seen, some of it is similar yes. Though if Faerie it can be a little….more,” he settled on, not sure how else to describe it.

"Ditto to you. I didn't think you'd humor the idea of me kissing you."
Cece finally broke the kiss, “Well that was unexpected,”
