Sonic screamed as he fell. He knew a fall from this height could very much kill him, weather he curled up or not.

Just before he hit the ground though... a red blur zoomed by and caught the hedgehog.

"Knuckles!"

"What the hell is going on here Blue!? First I sense negative Chaos Energy coming towards the alter, then when I look up I see Super with his own body holding you by your leg, then he drops you, and I hear you scream." Knuckles said, putting Sonic back onto his feet.

A giggle follows as his grip tightens, looking down and just behind him at the dangling blue hedgehog, but still continues to head in the direction of the alter. If he was aware or not, it didn’t seem like he cared enough to show.

"Awww, but Sonic, if I do that you might hit your pretty little head again. Oh how sad I will be if you don’t wake up this time.” 

His smile widens, but he then blinks as if in sudden realization, “Oh wait~ I don’t, goodbye." His grip loosen entirely.
