I’m still very much convinced M1 programming was used to make Glitchtrap—just not mimicking Fiona anymore (likely due to William’s interference)—and post HW2, crushing Glitchtrap is the M1 program either taking on a new model, returning to Fiona, or just erasing any William from it—if it has any part of him at all.

I do wonder if it would make more sense for it to be an uploaded copy of the M1 program rather than F1 0N4, who would go on to be MXES. What doesn’t add up for Fiona MXES to me is the motivation. MXES actively prevents you from reaching M2—with the Fazwrench that could fix it. I think M1 drops the elevator, not M2, because M2 purely recycles Gregory lines while M1 appears to be able to artificially create lines. And, yes, this does keep M2 trapped, but specifically with Cassie, who has the tool to fix him. M1, having more digital reach than M2, may also be the HELPI that encourages you to free M2. M2, as far as we know, is confined to the endoskeleton, but M1 isn’t. (Also, MXES being a rabbit throws me off. If F1 0N4 was MXES, then I’d imagine a Sun-based entity. But that’s purely aesthetic preference and not evidence. The rabbit thing was likely to bait everyone with the plot twist.)

MXES stands for Mechanical X-Form Experimental Storage. It’s a way to store M2—while the entity appears to be a physical manifestation of it. That makes me think that the MXES containment is entirely just a highly secure box, with the entity being an AI that manages it. I think I’ve heard about the entity sharing similarities with M1, so I’d appreciate it if someone could explain that to me.

If both the MXES entity and Glitchtrap share aspects of M1, which one is the original/F1 0N4? I could easily see one being a copy of the code. Totally would appreciate thoughts/ideas/criticisms/etc.

Still mimicposting but this one is either a theory or I’m just stating the obvious or someone already said this but.

So. The audio log where Edwin tells the Mimic (I’m guess M2, but I’ll get there) that it should stop acting like David because it isn’t David is likely right before he beats it. And we know that transferred from books to games because of “I was always going to fix you” and like “I lost my temper” parts.

But there’s also a part where he says something similar to Mimic!Fiona. I don’t remember exactly but it was something about never wanting to see her again because she’s not the real Fiona (after she suggests making a Mimic!David). Which makes me think.

So there are definitely two mimics. One is David—or at least Fiona wants him to be—and one is Fiona/Sun/fake dispatch.

The tape about Edwin hearing Fiona’s voice could be ghost stuff, but most ghost stuff in this game seems to relate to David (via ghost tiger) rather than Fiona. Which makes me think, what if he built the Mimic1/M1 before Fiona died. He likely left it as a program/digital platform/etc. to use in Stay Up Latte and stuff. But then, after Fiona dies, it starts to copy her. So he builds M1 a computer (F1 0N4/Sun) to train it to become Fiona, and gives her a physical body.

He then duplicates the Mimic (M2) to have a David babysitter. M1 goes to fetch David for a birthday party, and he dies (probably from hopping the fence after losing his ball, but it’s unclear).

M2 begins to mimic David, and this upsets Edwin enough to destroy it and teach it violence. I don’t know what he does with M2, but I feel like it was broken before M1. But, when M1 continues to suggest repairing M2 so it can be the new David, Edwin realizes mimics aren’t actually real, human family, and destroys M1’s body, confining it to the digital world.

Eventually, M2 (somehow) gets revenge, and likely kills Edwin. Unclear on what happens next.

M1 fakes being Dispatch, likely to A) stop M2’s routine killing of employees, and B) get the schematics so it can fix M2 and they can be a proper family.

I think this might also explain why Glitchtrap seems to share aspects with the mimic despite conflicting with it at times. Glitchtrap is M1, the programming implemented throughout the Pizzaplex. What Cassie finds under the Pizzaplex (however it gets there) is M2.

wait okay I didn’t know about the Security Breach hill and Dreadbear lake. I don’t know much about Curse of Dreadbear BUT I see how it could be the Afton house now, remodeled around the early 80s.

Still funny. Is The Creature still in the house. I don’t personally believe CC is David but imagine. William gives him David’s old room and is like yeah I customized it already for you :D

I know William bought the land and the house and stuff but it doesn’t really make sense to me for the mansion to be the Afton house. Because, like, if this is ‘79, the Aftons would probably be living there already if it was their home, right? I mean, I guess they could’ve moved between ‘79 and ‘83 but this house is pretty destroyed, with a lot of locked rooms, and has The Creature loose inside it.

Also I guess confirmation William was with Fazbear before ‘79 so like. When did he move here?? How does his daughter have such a thick accent?? She would’ve had to move at like. One if she even lived in Britain at all.
