John   had   always   been   fascinated   by   structures.   Most   would   hear   that   statement   and   their   minds   would   conjure   up   iconic   feats   of   human   construction,   the   empire   state   building   in   new   york,   the   helix   bridge   in   singapore,   or   the   hungarian   parliament   building.   Given   his   affinity   for   architecture,   he   could   understand   why   they   thought   of   what   would   inspire   him   to   build.   Structure   was   something   that   existed   in   many   areas   of   life.   He   couldn't   recall   the   last   time   that   he'd   sat   at   a   piano   let   alone   allowed   his   fingers   to   pass   over   the   ivory   keys.   Yet,   his   ability   to   build   a   melody   hadn't   been   lost.

The   longer   he   played,   the   more   he   was   swept   into   the   emotionally   impactful   song   he'd   chosen,   his   fingers   building   on   the   natural   melody   by   adding   his   own   flair   as   he   went.   Unsatisfied   with   merely   playing   after   so   long   unless   his   skills   were   being   tested,   fully   reawakened   by   his   time   in   the   stool.   Abruptly,   his   playing   paused,   and   he   turned   his   head   back.
