Aimee shivered, still swearing she felt her mother glaring at her even though Carol Ferris was in Coast City and Aimee was here with Dick. “Okay, fair point.” Aimee rolled her eyes as she crossed her arms over her chest, actually doing as he said and calming down though she wasn’t too happy about it.

“Well, consider your payback gotten and don’t tell me to calm down. I am perfectly calm now and not because you told me to do so.”

Sometimes their relationship is almost that of siblings; they tease each other almost relentlessly, cross boundaries that practically nobody else gets to. It appears that there are some boundaries even Dick can’t cross when he’s with Aimee, though - and yelling her full name to get her attention seems to be one of them.

There was nothing sweeter than being embraced by your child, Aimee knew that now and she had known it with Drake too. But it never failed to make her happy. She laughed as Robyn leaped at her and she easily caught the young girl, holding her tight as she kissed her hair. “Hi, Robyn.” She smiled as she held her, not planning on letting her go. “I missed you. How was your day, sweetheart?”

The best part of Robyn’s day was being picked up from school. Although she liked the classes and having friends, being away from her family was both anxiety-inducing and tiring. Being picked up gave her a little more energ - it was exciting to see either of her parents and her brother. She came streaming out of the school, surrounded by the other kids this afternoon, taking a flying leap at her mother and wrapping short legs around Aimee’s waist in a tight embrace.

“You’re welcome, Jordan.” Kyle’s responding smile was easy and slow; he was genuinely prepared to help his friend in her venture. “Alright. Do you want to split the addresses in half and separate, or do you want to go together?”

Aimee knew she could do it on her own but she liked having the company and alright, the extra help. It made it a lot easier and Aimee was all for working smarter and not harder. “Let’s go together. I do have a lot of food to take and I need to talk to most of them anyway, it’ll just be easier that way and besides, I think we could both use the company.”

“What if you need it later on? I can’t just take it for keeps.” This argument is going to devolve quickly, Donna can tell. It won’t stop her form trying, though.

“Donna, I can always get or find a new one. You can take it for keeps because I said you could.” Aimee waved her off, knowing they’d bicker about it all day if one of them didn’t give in. “Don’t worry about it, seriously, it’s your’s now.”

“What else are friends for, right?” He asks, ripping open a pack of antiseptic wipes to begin the task of cleaning Aimee up from the battle she’d gotten herself into. 

“Making friends food, letting them crash on the couch even when they’re mean to you?” Aimee listed off as he started to clean her up. It was easier on her if she simply talked while he did it. “Aside from taking care of me, how was your day?”

“Seriously?“ He asks with an amused  smile on his face, bu still Thad pulls out chocolate kiss and hands it to Aimee, “You know you’re like one of Pavlov’s dogs at this point, right?“

Aimee grinned at him as she nodded. “So that means I’m someone you like? Well, don’t I feel special?” She teased before her eyes lit up.

“Absolutely. You always have them for me.” She told him, happily taking the chocolate kiss and shrugging. “Sure but I get chocolate out of it so I’m honestly not complaining. Thanks for the save and for this by the way. I needed both.”

If you notice, in comics and in shows, Lanterns will float a couple of inches off the ground. This is a power move. This is the ‘I’m a Green Lantern fuck you’ move.

The Ferris-Jordan family is literally one of the most powerful and reckless families there is. 10/10 would not recommend engaging in combat against any of them. It will only end badly.
