I don’t think that’s even possible.” Walking over to the rack, Anastasiya worked her way through the dresses to see what the options were

Emilia let out a laugh at Anastasiyas reaction and held up her hands “Okay, that was a bit too much for you. Sometimes I forget that you don’t deal with personal information well” she grinned “Deal. I’ll never bring it up again for you.” She agreed and joined her friend in perusing the dresses. “So what do you think?”

Anastasiya heard her dearest friend call her from her sitting room. “Alright, alright, I hear you” she smirked, walking into the front room and pulling her hair into a ponytail. “Do you have enough dresses there?” she joked with a laugh “Jeez Emilia, it’s only the Yule Ball” she added. Anastasiya walked over to her kitchen and got both of them a drink and returned holding the glass our for the blonde “Okay, my hair’s up and i’ve got alcohol. Show me what you’ve got”

“I know but I don’t know what to wear and you have to help me because Jerome will just tell me that I look good in anything and then make some comment and long story short those comments are how I ended up with three kids so... help me?” she asked with a laugh. She gladly took the offered drink and started flicking through the dresses on the rack “So I’ve got all of these. The last time I did a chaperone event was before I had Isabella so I don’t know what most chaperones would wear and i don’t want to look inappropriate”

Emilia knocked on her friends door and let herself in like the usual drill was between the two “Anastasiya?” she called out, pulling a rack of dresses into the sitting room of her best friends living space “Ana?!” she called out again “I need your help with dress choices and who else to ask than the fork tongued Bulgarian that will tell me her exact thoughts on everything even if it’s brutal”

“Perhaps later, I don’t want to bore you to tears and you’ve had your hands full with three tiny terrors, you deserve a break” he said looking down at his suit while she picked the speck of dust off “My brother can do bore you to tears or worse Granma Carrow” he joked “Thank you, it would be a crime to look terrible next to you. I suppose, I’m sure they’d all love to wind us up about that” Jerome looked at his wife in pure awe. He had never and would never love anyone in his life the way he loved her. God It was all consuming to him. His eyes shifted to take in his three children. His kids were a different kind of love, the protective and dedicated love a parent would have for their kids. “A mini duo of Jareth and I? Then Merlin help Granma Carrow is all I can say because that woman will have her work cut out for her” he laughed and locked his classroom door behind them. Jerome placed his daughter back on her feet to join her brother while they all walked to their dinner “How have they been since you picked them up from the sitter?”

“Boring is one word that has never applied to you” she smiled warmly “You may joke about Jareth but I know he’s your favourite family member, not counting myself and the kids” she teased “And Granma Carrow is a lovely woman who always has the time for us even when you’re in one of your moods” Emilia pointed out with a smirk “You have never looked terrible a day in your life and you know it.” She couldn’t help but laugh at her husbands attempt to be humble and shook her head “Anything to make fun of each other. Typical brothers” she smiled rolling her eyes. Her vision settled on his. Her ocean eyes meeting his glacial gaze. It was a quiet moment between them. Peaceful and intimate, like the rest of the world has chosen to step out of the room. “That woman still has her work cut out with you both and adding the kids into it should surely earn her a sainthood” Emilia watched her daughter and son run slightly ahead of them playing a game of tag and she felt a smile break on her face. She took her husbands hand and strolled down the corridor after the kids, their youngest still in her other arm “They’ve been behaved, but as usual isabella and charlie have an argument and then two minutes later they’re best friends again. when they figure out that they can punch each other then you’re dealing with that” she joked and gave his hand a squeeze.

Jonathan let out a chuckle. “Apparently a day without brooding is a day wasted for Carrow brothers,” he joked. “So, how do you like Hogwarts so far, Emilia?”

“I’m sure brooding is their middle names at this point” she grinned, shaking her head “It’s different from when I was last here but then again that was only for the Triwizard Tournament was taking place when I was in Beauxbatons. I can see why everyone loves this place so much. On the outside it might not look like much but internally there’s so much life about this castle”

How would you feel if one of your children were part of the triwizard tournament?

I wouldn’t be thrilled. I wouldn’t like it at all but if they were to put their name in and to be selected as champion then I would support them and hope that nothing happens to them

any regrets?

i don’t regret anything in life that has guided me down the path that allowed me to meet my husband and have my kids. if i was to call anything a regret it would be allowing people around me that gossiped and stirred the pot in regards to what family name is attached to Jerome. Having people like that who were supposed to friends to me but decided to betray me and go to gossip rags instead is the only thing I’d call a regret in life.

If you were a student, would you have entered the tournament?

I did enter the tournament when I was back in school myself but another student was selected. I was naive back then and knowing what I know now after watching other tournaments pass, I don’t think I would put my name in now.

“He’s doing wonderfully, even though I hate that he’s so far away, Australia seems to be his place on Earth,” he said with a soft smile, the kind of smile he had on when he talked about people he loves. “Ah, both the little and he big kids are grumpy today, there’s no doubt that they’re related,” he chuckled.  

“He always seemed like someone that would love travelling and settle somewhere warm” Emilia smiled, remembering her own brother. “A truer statement has never been spoken. Jerome is a grump today too, but then again, he’s always a grump” she laughed.

Before he looked up from his paperwork on his desk his legs were tackled by two of his kids. He grinned at the children and ruffled his sons hair before picking up his little girl. Jeromes head turned to gaze at the woman in the doorway and there she was, that remarkable wife of his with their third pride and joy in her arms. “Ignore me, people haven’t exactly been of help today.” he apologised and crossed the room to place a kiss on her forehead “You look divine Mia. Shall we head to this dinner?” Jerome asked, placing his hand at the small of her back “Charlie my boy, don’t touch that and let’s go” Jerome called to the little boy whos curiosity was getting the better of him. At Jeromes call the boy came running over and stood by his side ready to go. “After you my love”

A smile played on her lips while her eyes brushed closed at the feeling of her husband pressing his lips to her forehead “do you want to talk about it?” she asked, giving his hand a squeeze with her free hand before removing a piece of dust from his suit “ and you look dapper as always.” she smiled “yes, let’s go. i don’t want to be late to the family gathering and the kids will be hungry” Emilia laughed at her son getting up to mischief “Like father, like son. He definitely takes after you with the troublemaking you know. There’s a high possibility that Jayden and him will be like Jareth and yourself. A two point zero version of you both” she pointed out with a laugh and headed out the room, waiting for her husband to follow.

“I mean… I guess? It’s just weird to think about, you know? I often forget you are people.” Darcy replied before biting her lip at how insensitive it sounded. “That would be just disgusting. Especially with some of the new students I’ve met.”

“Wow, thank you for that Darcy.” she laughed at the bluntness from the student, knowing that there was no malice behind it “I don’t even want to think about it to be quite honest with you.”

would you guys accept your kids here or are they too young?

ooc; hi, I'm so sorry I've missed this. Tumblr didn't let me know I had an ask. I saw that @jeromecarrow answered this previously and I'm happy to discuss this with Tom to see what we would decide upon. I would ask that if we were to discuss this that we would prefer to do this off anon - I haven't had a chance to speak with Tom yet so sorry if you have messaged him off anon xo

“Calm down Jer, it’s only me” she laughed at her husband being in such a rush “I thought we’d stop by and meet you. Some people, particularly three tiny terrors have been wanting to see you” Emilia smiled, stepping aside to let her two eldest kids run in to greet their dad while she held onto their youngest.

“Can you please make this quick? I’m meeting my family and I’d like to be there on time. So you’ve got thirty seconds to convince me that you’re worth listening to or just quit while your ahead and stop by my office tomorrow”

“I keep repeating myself that it’s only just for this school year and then I’ll be back in the auror office,” Jonathan chuckled and looked up at his friend with a bright smile on his face. “This little smart arse makes me think of my little brother,” he chuckled and tossed the paper aside. “How have you been, my dear?”

“Your own personal mantra” she laughed along with him “Oh Henry? How is the dear?” she asked and took a seat in a spare chair near his desk “I’ve been wonderful thank you. Tired but wonderful none the less. How are you? How’s the family?”
