margaret “maggie” walton, twenty-one, jessica sula

five feet of sass and britney spears’ curious marc jacobs’ daisy. always happy to find something to argue about. the least enthusiastic salesperson at sweater haven. big dreams of moving to new york city and becoming the irl miranda priestley. married to her sewing machine. the bratty younger sister to one marcus walton, and a continual thorn in her brother’s side. thick skin because she needs it. will mock you endlessly for calling her ma’am. way too much confidence for a salesgirl at a place called sweater haven. can’t out-drink you, but will try her damn near best.

needs: she spends a lot of time sitting around and judging her brother and his friends (aka she’s the erica to the stranger things group), but she needs friends, enemies, and love interests so everything. i might put up a req for a friend group for her in a bit!! 

victoria arlington, twenty-four, madelaine petsch

former high school teen queen. spent all of those four years pretending like her mom wasn’t constantly drunk out of her mind and looking out for her younger sister. now, she just doesn’t have any contact with her mom at all. went to duke on a cheerleading scholarship, and came back after graduation with a busted knee and no discernible future. secretary at the local pediatrician’s office and hates kids (or so she says). sarcastic, judgmental, superficial. trying to be nicer and failing, most of the time, but might give you a drive home if you ask nicely. the rumors about her aren’t true - it was only a few handjobs she gave under the bleachers. spends all of her savings on new lipsticks. 

needs: please give her friends and ex-friends from her high school days, also locals around her age who she probably tormented during high school. exes, flings, nemeses, whatever??

clarice st. james, twenty-one, tba

adopted by a local family from vietnam. call her clara, if you must. obsessively in love with film and her camera, which is named scully. believes that it’s fate that she was named clarice like the queen clarice starling. currently spends 90% of her time working at pins and needles, which is a glow-in-the-dark bowling alley, not some kind of crack dealership (she’s put change the name in the suggestion box five times), to save up for film school. a loser in every sense of the word. she was wearing overalls before they became cool again, and her backpack is covered in pins and badges. freezes up during any kind of confrontation. can correctly guess your shoe size by just looking at you, after years at the shoe rental counter. 

needs: friends pls!!! regulars at the bowling alley? i might put up a request for other coworkers at the alley, so if you have a desire to throw your character in go 4 it. 

genevieve “gen” reyes, twenty-nine, tba

used to be the family scandal/black sheep until her dad left her mom for his business partner. now, nobody cares that she works at the local superstore. got pregnant in high school and had the baby, alexa, who is now the biggest 11 year old diva you will ever meet. briefly married the father and dumped him after he tried to take the alexa waterskiing when she was three. is now a bitter divorcee at the ripe old age of twenty-nine, with a floor manager’s badge to show for it. hardworking, independent, incredibly stubborn. won’t take shit from anyone or anything. regularly fights with inanimate objects when she’s had a long day. definitely not in love with her work husband.

needs: coworkers at her store and friends her age from outside of work!! maybe her ex, if someone is interested? other young moms who get together and have wine and complain??
