“Conceited, spoiled, and arrogant- all of those things, of course, are true to the character. But she had courage and determination, and that, I think, is why women must secretly admire her.” -Vivien Leigh

biggest lesson learnt this year is probably to not give so much of yourself to people who will not do the same for you

i’m a strong believer that not everything you do needs an explanation. if you want a tattoo, get one. if you rather stay home that night, it’s okay to miss that party. don’t forget that you’re living for yourself. you don’t owe anyone an explanation for your choices or preferences.

Quote
When you “go vegan”, you are basically waving your middle finger with an exclamation point saying “fuck you” to a billion dollar industry responsible for the torture and murder of billions of animals and the sickness and death of billions of human beings.

I am sick of being told I'm not vegan because of my body shape
being a fat vegan makes it so much more difficult to be listened to than being a naturally thin one. I’m constantly being told “that body isn’t a vegan body” or “you didn’t get to that size eating plants” or “surely you can’t be vegan with that body”. it’s like all people see is my physical appearance and disregard the things I say and therefore use my body as a way to not listen to my message. I am vegan because I do not consume, use or wear anything containing animal products or that’s been tested on animals. my body is how it is because it’s my body and why I’m fat is none of your business. my body is vegan because I am vegan. thinness isn’t a requirement of being vegan and veganism isn’t about a weight loss plan, it’s an ethical life style.
