Let’s Talk Detox
Tumblr media
Diets that promise to rid our bodies of so-called toxins are popular, particularly at this time of year when many people are looking for a fresh start. However, there are ways to explore the role healthy eating plays in ridding our body of toxins. Learn more here

The Sounds of Sun Basket
youtube
Tyler MacNiven, the director of Sun Basket studios, gets inspired by the most random things. Sometimes this results in chasing a cod-fishing boat with a drone camera, and sometimes we get a live dog fashion show at the office. The other day, while contemplating a test kitchen bread box, he realized it also made a pretty good little beat box. Looking around, he realized the same held true for a number of other of kitchen tools and Sun Basket ingredients. With our test kitchen cooks as unknowing musicians, he snuck a few shots of chopping and cooking resulting in this yummy end-of-the-year music video.

Olive Oil-Fennel Seed Shortbread & Almond-Tahini Cookies
Tumblr media
Not all of the great cooks at Sun Basket work in the kitchen. Brittany Howlett had a career as a pastry chef before she came on board to work as a liaison between our test kitchen and our procurement team, the folks who buy our ingredients. Lucky for us that she hasn't given up her love of baking. Recently she brought these two incredible batches of cookies into the office to share. They're so good, we felt it would be wrong not to share the recipes with you.
For these recipes and more, visit The Sun Times.

And the Winner Is...Sun Basket!
Tumblr media
Sage Lazaro at Observer.com set out to test three meal kits with a healthy focus: Sun Basket, Green Chef and Chef’d. After trying several recipes from each service, she chose one as a clear winner. (Spoiler alert: It’s us!)
Sun Basket wins because the food is just that good. I actually gave it a higher rating than Peach Dish, the winner of my first article testing and comparing meal kits. They’re priced about the same, as well. But Sun Basket was simply the most delicious, and I really appreciate how often it deviated from dishes like pasta and meat-with-a-veggie, which seem to be staples of the subscription meal service industry.
We pride ourselves on delivering meals that are easy, healthy, and above all delicious. Try them for yourself! Sign up now, and get 3 free meals to start.
