I have never shown anyone my poetry but I am dying to get it published. I think this is where i should start off:

serpents swirling softly

bounding me down

moving up my soft skin sweetly

like the fruit thats now rotten and brown

my eyes widening with new wisdom

sickening and terrifying

poisoned by the devils venom

for this is now my awakening

but something about this makes me feel powerful

and i cannot tell if this is the curse or the gift

for now my purpose feels meaningful

as if i have made a vast continental drift

but something in me wants to remain pure and innocent for eternity

no power, no shame or evil to fill me with fire

and to feel close to heaven in its absurdity

no sadness, no emptiness or fear to fill me with desire

or should i lay here in serene solidarity

alone in the guilt and with no spared godly love

shall i harness the feeling of prosperity

and find beauty in my life like a white dove

that circles me in my new found humanity

for it is my choice to accept my sin

in all its insanity

and admire what we have within
