In contrast, all my husband and I had to do was sign a form. Our competence to choose the outcome of our embryo was never questioned. There were no mandatory lectures on gestation, no requirement that I be explicitly told that personhood begins at conception or that I view a picture of a day-five embryo. There was no compulsory waiting period for me to reconsider my decision. In fact, no state imposes these restrictions — so common for abortion patients — on patients with frozen embryos. With rare exceptions, the government doesn’t interfere with an IVF patient’s choices except to resolve disagreements between couples. The disparity between how the law treats abortion patients and IVF patients reveals an ugly truth about abortion restrictions: that they are often less about protecting life than about controlling women’s bodies. Both IVF and abortion involve the destruction of fertilized eggs that could potentially develop into people. But only abortion concerns women who have had sex that they don’t want to lead to childbirth. Abortion restrictions use unwanted pregnancy as a punishment for “irresponsible sex” and remind women of the consequences of being unchaste: If you didn’t want to endure a mandatory vaginal ultrasound , you shouldn’t have had sex in the first place .
Fertility clinics destroy embryos all the time. Why aren’t conservatives after them?

Villain Lady: wouldn't it be totally romantic and cool if someone blasted a giant heart into the moon for someone they loved
Heroine: that would be horrible, it could affect the tides and send debris raining down on the Earth, damaging the ecosystem and threatening lives.
Heroine: Anyways what did you want to do for our anniver- where are you going?
Villain Lady running out the door: BRB JUST HAVE TO STOP SEVERAL HUNDRED MISSILES HEADING FOR THE MOON THAT ARE COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THIS CONVERSATION

How do Nick and Judy help each other out to reach stuff that's too high? Do they do piggy back? Or just stand on top of Nick? Or maybe she holds the stool steady as he reaches for the flour? How do you imagine them helping each other?
They manage
Smol people always manage

Today we are featuring Ladies in Hades by Frederic Arnold Kummer, an early 20th century playwright and novelist. Ladies takes place in Hell, where several infamous women from history and legend have formed their own exclusive club. Hijinks ensue as women such as Lucrezia Borgia, Helen of Troy and Eve booze, smoke, and wrangle their way in and out of love plots. Complete with cheeky illustrations, this book is campy even by Hevelin Collection standards!
Kummer, Frederic Arnold. Ladies in Hades: A Story of Hell’s Smart Set. Illustrated by Gordon Ross. New York: J. H. Sears & Company, 1928.

Y’all, rich people tip like shit
I pull up at this nice ass house, I’m walking to the door as the woman pulls in her driveway so the pizza is definitely not late.
I’m all smiley and courteous and shit, she tipped me $1 on a $51 bill.
The next house I have is in a lower class neighborhood, she tips me $4.00 on a $14 bill.
rich people don’t value yr labor at all
