I can't tell what's in your heart, but your actions do not read as acting in good faith. You asked questions and I answered them, then you complained that I wasn't listening to you. You act as if I'm providing you new information, then you claim to already be informed. You make unwarranted assumptions about my beliefs and positions. You keep asking me questions but offer nothing yourself. Responding in good faith myself does not seem like a good use of my time.

Well, no, internethippo is a popular Twitter account known for irreverent--one might say glib--commentary, so I don't believe they were posting this question to their 350,000 followers on Elon Musk's Twitter because they were genuinely curious and wanted good faith responses.
And, yes, in a democracy, you do in fact have to vote to maintain democracy. There is no magic spell to prevent an authoritarian takeover. Rules have to be enforced by willing participants, and when roughly 45% of the electorate is voting for a would-be dictator, there's only so much you can do to persuade them out of it.
Also, here are some things that Democrats have done or want to do to combat authoritarianism in America off the top of my head:
Impeach Donald Trump over his actions relating to January 6
Prosecute January 6 rioters
Work to address right-wing domestic terrorism
Sue to block Donald Trump's candidacy under the 14th amendment
Prosecute Donald Trump over his actions relating to January 6
Pass a bill to prevent the allegedly-legal method Donald Trump tried to use to overturn the election (one could say... enact reform)
Pour resources into electing Democratic secretaries of state who would ensure fair elections
Defend against the independent state legislature theory
Propose Supreme Court reform (including a plan by Joe Biden)
Propose the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and Freedom to Vote Act (both of which Kamala Harris supports)
Consistently give speeches and other public comments denouncing authoritarianism
I mean, seriously, I understand if you think the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and Freedom to Vote Act are insufficient, but you act as if you're ignorant of them and if you had the time to write out that whole post, you had the time to get informed. That's on you.
