Flake's podcast - Goodbye

After last month's very revealing podcast (you know the one.. 😊), the theme this time is Goodbye.

Don't worry, it isn't his final podcast (at least he doesn't say so) or in any other way a message to the listener, it is just the theme, and Flake plays songs about Goodbye, Auf Wiedersehen, Adieu, Adios and anything else sounding like a goodbye 🍀

Now...you'd think (like i did) that surely for this theme he'll play 'Adieu' by Rammstein...well, he doesn't... Surely then you'll say (like i did), he'll play 'Adios' by Rammstein... again no... <pouting mode started 🤨>

Even anecdotes about Rammstein are sparse, apart from a mention (1h03) of them playing as a supporting act to the Ramones (who were at the end of their career, tired of touring and eachother, Flake was a bit disappointed experiencing that backstage, it shattered a few illusions he had; once they were *on* stage though, all seemed okay again); and at 1h10 playing one of Rammstein's supporting acts, Mindless Self Indulgence. Flake watched them twice and thought "interesting what these youngsters are doing", he figures the Ramones probably thought the same when watching Rammstein (he seldom saw people watching them with such uncomprehending faces 😁).

Teeny bit of Flake youth history at 1h15, before the song 'Abschied denn ich muss zur Armee' (Goodbye because i have to join the army), a GDR song (on the music of Bad Moon Rising). Flake never joined the GDR army (it scared him so much he did everything he could to get out of it), maybe he feels a bit guilty of not fighting fascism like he was supposed to, but he spent his time drinking, going to rehearsal rooms and playing music and being anti fascism in that and every other way.

And other than that, a lot of songs, and because there weren't many anecdotes or Flake-rambles, i'll leave you with a song by Cro Flake plays at 0h27, and which i never heard but really really love (if anyone sends me that 'tag game of last things' in the near future, this will very likely be 'last song' 😄)
