Thanks, Jordan! Some say that’s a lucky thing, but there’s a pretty strong possibility that at least a third of this student population are disappointed in that fact. Anything interesting that you’re writing?
No problem! People are just annoyed that Summer’s pretty much over, everyone’s kinda low in spirit. I’ve just been writing for fun now that I have my first draft of my book done, which is always nice.

I try to be a patient man, I do. However, there are some people who have taken my boxing class who really do not belong there. I am perfectly fine about teaching new individuals interested. When they are absolutely useless in the class, however, it gets exhausting.
Well maybe they just need an extra push! If you’re that passionate about it maybe you should hang out with them more, let the passion rub off on them.

I gotta say, there’s really nothing like coming back from somewhere as amazing as Germany, and ending up in this shithole. Somehow, I forgot how much this place sucked.
Guess I should just be thankful this place is still standing and hasn’t completely burnt down. Still gotta get through another year at this place, so there’s that.
Anyone wanna fill me in on your thrilling summer at McKinley?
Welcome back! Luckily there were no fires or building burning, so we’re all still going strong. I spent most of my time writing away, as I do. Not too exciting, but productive.

A little over a month left of summer camp, and I have to say I’m fairly impressed with my ability to last this long here. I may even attempt to go this last month without any complaints. Granted that will all depend on whether or not there is some new ludicrous activity that Ms. Holiday comes up with. I couldn’t have been the only one who found this water gun fight childish. Can’t we do a nice, quiet activity where we all sit around reading and drinking tea preferably with a splash of bourbon?
Glad to hear you’re coming around! And, yeah, the water fight was pretty weird. But I suppose it wouldn’t be a McKinley anything without a weird competitive sport. I’d love a nice ‘sit around the fire and tell stories’ activity myself.

The weather has been just unendingly beautiful lately, and I sure hope everyone has been getting outside and enjoying it, even if there is water flying everywhere you turn. I just keep reminding myself - it’s water, it won’t hurt me! Plus, the sun’s out, which dries you off nice and quick.
I have found quite a few wonderful trails in the woods near campus, so if anyone wants to sneak away and take in some nature, please let me know and I would be happy to show them to you! There’s so much beauty right here in our own backyards, I would hate for you guys to miss out!
I agree, it’s been so nice. I’ve been doing a lot of reading in the sunshine lately. Luckily, I put my books away for the water fight. I’d love to see this backyard beauty, there’s so much around here I haven’t seen yet.

Splash splash!
Jordan narrowed her eyes, peering over the edge of the picnic table she was crouched behind.
Her method of staying hidden was working pretty well, it usually did when it came to these weird McKinley death games.
In fact, Jordan had taken the win last time using said method. But the assassin wasn’t fucking around these time. It had been a metaphorical blood bath.
A Water bath!
....which was a regular bath.
Shaking her thoughts away at the sound of some footsteps to her left, Jordan pulled the hair tie out of her hair, snapping it in half with her teeth. She then wrapped it around her index and middle finger, setting a smaller water balloon into the curve of the make-shift slingshot.
As she slowly pulled herself up to try and take a shot, the unmistakable sound of a twig snapping was heard behind her.
Jordan froze, eyes wide.
“So, we meet again, old friend,” she said, lowering the slingshot and dropping it to the ground.
She put her hands up next to her head, closing her eyes and giving a singular nod. “Take the shot.”
Suddenly, her back was soaked with water and her past win washed away.
“Well that totally sucked...”

One thing about working at the bakery, is that Im not at the camp all the much right now. I also get to watch Hamilton without fear of Cassie, Figgins or Holly stalking me, which now they’re going to be stalking me now. How’s everyone’s week going?
Lucky. I wish I had some way to have some time to myself without fear of someone looking over my shoulder. My week’s been going good though! I’m enjoying the weather.

I don’t think there are words that could truly express how great it feels to be back at McKinley. Which is something I definitely didn’t think I would ever say, after the way this past year went, but man. Getting yelled at by your commander really makes you realize how good you have it when someone isn’t screaming at you that you’re walking wrong. I’m utterly exhausted, and really looking forward to hanging out and doing some camp activities this week. Anyone wanna fill me in on what I’ve missed lately? I’m sure this place had some interesting stories..
Welcome back! This year’s been crazy, so I’m enjoying things being quiet. Well, quiet as they can be here. I haven’t been doing all that much to be honest. Oh! I finished the first draft of my book!

Looking around the camp, I fear that people have been in lower spirits than typical lately. Perhaps it would be best to conduct some sort of affirmation or positivist circle among ourselves as a means to boost spirits.
I don’t know what a positivist circle is but it sounds great!

What is your opinion on cheaters?
I think cheating is awful, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t just break up with someone if you wanted to sleep with someone else that badly.

oh dear– i was not made for this weather. in france, i don’t think the weather ever get’s above 30– though i wouldn’t be surprised if this were different now because of the global warming.
they have this new flavor of mochi that i want to try ~ it’s absolutely delicious and the right amount of sweet. have you ever had it before?
i could never deal with winter’s like that, i’d turn to a block of ice! while i’m firmly against global warming, i do get some joy out of the warmer days.
ooh, sounds great! i haven’t had mochi in ages, not since my brother and his wife, then fiance, came back from their trip to japan when i was in high school.

If you need any help with funds, just let me know. It sounds really good and I’d love to help you get it out there if publishers reject you.
You’re so sweet, thank you! I want to try and get it out there by myself but I am not above turning to friends for help.

oh so i know so well the feeling— a time when your hand moves so freely on the canvas. less than moments later, it stops, frozen from all it’s talents. please, lets go get ice cream. it’ll be at least 32 degrees tomorrow. how insane you all live sometimes.
yes, completely. writer’s block is always seconds away from plaguing me. ooh, i love that idea! i can never say no to ice cream! and i love the warm weather myself, i think i just might have cold blood.

I don’t think many people are really enjoying this camping thing. And I have never enjoyed camping. Ever. So, this is fun. Tell me about this book.
Yeah, I think everyone prefers the comfort of their own home during summer break. Okay, well, it’s a Young Adult novel about a girl called Lillian who is half mermaid and moves to a underwater school, kind of like Atlantis, and there’s mystery and romance and girl power.

That sounds super interesting! Will it be available to purchase or are you keeping it to yourself?
Well I plan to take a break for little, and then come back to it with a clear head for the second drafts and then the plan is to try and get it out to publishers, see if there’s any interest and if there’s not, I’d self publish.
