Happy Mando Monday! This is a special mandalorian. His flak vest is attached to his mama and loin cloth. This was a special request by the customer. I have never made one like this but it makes a lot of sense. Also it's the first invisible zipper I have installed on a mando. I am looking forward to seeing this kitted up with all his armor. Not all boba fett shoulders are created the same. The bottom shoulder is using the measurement off "The Dented Helment" which I am sure work fine for some. However, I have run onto the problem that it's too small for most adult flak vest I make. SO through trial and error I now have a bigger version of the boba fett shoulder. It still inherently limits motion upwards but the rest of the range of motion works much better. Hi everyone!! We made it through hurricane Sally in 1 piece; however, we have no power and just got water back. Thankfully we fared much better then many others in town. Lots of tree debris and minor house damage. I wanted to let everyone know we are ok. I am cutting fabric but I can sew mandos till power comes back. So these past 3 week has been very stressful. My mom got a covid positive test this week. She lives in a nursing home due to her health so she should have been safe. However, she had to go to the er 2x in the last 3 weeks for problems they couldn't handle at the home but weren't life treating since they caught them early. Unfortunately we think she picked up covid-19 in one of those visits. Right now she is asymptomatic but tired as heck. Her health isn't great to start so we are all still super worried. Sebastian and I went and visited her through the window yesterday which was really nice. This is the 2nd time in 7 months that I have seen her in person. We have been talking a lot on the phone through through these 7 months. Words can not express how covid has been effecting us mentally and emotionally. I just hope that mom makes a full recovery and no one else I know gets sick. (We have already had 2 covid scares in our house and those nose swaps sux.) I am going to try and start posting here on Instagram more regularly. I will be making schedule post over on Facebook so everyone can see all the work I have been cranking out. I haven't dropped off the face of the earth completely and I am still working every day on mandos.
