Ok sorry to ramble here and infiltrate this post but red is NOT a male exclusive gene, it's just that red is more common in male cats bc it's an X-linked gene. This makes it rarer for female cats to be all red bc they'd need both Xs to carry red, while male cats only need the one X to be red for it to get carried on

Cream is sort of a light red!! It's red/ginger affected by the dilute gene so that checks out, I'm not sure how common cream cats are in female cats though bc the red gene is still needed

Okay so if I'm understanding this correctly

Cream is a light version of red

All red cats are male because red is a gene that only males can carry

Therefore all cream cats also are male

"Red tabby with white spotting" ≠ cream; cream = "light red;" red with less pigment

But

Cream cats can be female because the red gene doesn't need to be as prominent

I would like to thank @endlessvoiq for giving me these ideas but I think they and I are genuinely the only people in this fandom who notice the mildly fucked up implications that can be gotten from Green and Purple's dialogue about how their relationship is? The main point I'm bringing up is how Green never directly mentions her if you defeat her, while Purple directly mentions Green if you defeat him first.

Now this could mean absolutely nothing, but with how little Purple talks like at all, it could have you wondering if Purple is by chance also being treated horribly...
