(Note: Some of this is just jokes, some of it is legit issues I have with the season so far. I just wanted to barf this out somewhere other than a Twitter thread.)
Chapter 17
“I am going to Mandalore to try to find out if the Living Waters are still there so I can bathe in them and be redeemed and welcomed back by my people. Even though I just saved them from a giant alligator, earning me no redemption points whatsoever.”
“I need a droid to help me explore Mandalore. The one I want got blown up but I will go to my friend Greef and ask anyway.”
“Alas I have failed to reassemble my dead droid friend, and these little guys who could have helped me earlier had Greef told me they were here could maybe fix my droid friend but they’re sending me to get a part first.”
“Dank Farrik! I have run afoul of some pirates after murdering them all for being vaguely menacing. Better hightail it out of here. To the place where I think the droid part is? No, to Bo-Katan’s house, which is next to Mandalore, even though I am not ready to go to Mandalore yet.”
“Bo-Katan, I just dropped by your house to tell you I’m going to go next door later and look for some mines. Lates!”
Chapter 18
“My good friend Peli will have the droid part I need!
“Or not. Maybe this astromech will do the same thing an IG-unit can. There certainly won’t be any cave trolls or big robot spider things it will need to fight off.”
“Grogu, maps are very important to our people. It would be so uncool if we ever had to stop and ask for directions.”
“Finally, we’ve arrived on Mandalore after an episode and a half of buildup.”
“ARGH! I was wrong about the trolls and robot spiders. Grogu! Go get Bo-Katan. See? The maps thing is paying off already!”
“Thank you for saving me, Bo, even though you think I’m a big dummy. Now you can show me where the mines are since, as you know, we Mandalorians pride ourselves on knowing our way around.”
“OK, time for a dip. At least there are no Mythosaurs in heeeeeeeeeeeeeere…”
Chapter 19
“Thank you for saving me, Bo-Katan. Again. Good thing there were no Mythosaurs in there.”
“Oh no! We’ve run afoul of a random batch of TIEs! Your house! Let’s jump away to AN ALMOST COMPLETELY UNRELATED STORY.”
45 minutes later:
“We’ve arrived at my kinda sorta friends’ house. Keep your hat on.”
“I am redeemed! Bo is redeemed! My story is over! What do you mean there are five more episodes?”
Chapter 20:
“This is a very unsafe area for children to live. We should have stayed on that blue shrimp planet. I hope this doesn’t trigger any traumatic memories for Grogu.”
