Enhypen Hyung line reaction: when you act mischievous.
Heesung:
The evening was perfect—warm city lights, a gentle breeze, and the soft hum of people chatting in the background. Heeseung and Y/N were on a casual date, sitting at an outdoor café, enjoying their drinks.
Heeseung, ever the gentleman, had ordered Y/N’s favorite, while he himself was sipping on an iced Americano. His long fingers toyed with the straw absentmindedly as he scrolled through his phone, occasionally showing Y/N funny videos.
But Y/N? She had other plans.
She watched as Heeseung took slow sips of his drink, his guard completely down. Her mischievous brain whirred into action. Heeseung was too chill right now—too relaxed. That simply wouldn't do.
A wicked idea formed.
Casually, Y/N reached for the sugar packet on the table and, without hesitation, tore it open. She waited patiently, watching for the exact moment when Heeseung lifted his cup again.
Then—strike.
With perfect timing, Y/N dumped the entire sugar packet straight into his iced Americano mid-sip.
The reaction was immediate.
Heeseung froze. His brows furrowed as the sudden, overwhelming sweetness hit his tongue. His Adam’s apple bobbed as he forced himself to swallow, his eyes slowly meeting Y/N’s with the biggest look of betrayal.
“Y/N,” he said, his voice a little strained.
Y/N bit her lip, trying so hard not to burst out laughing. “Yeah, babe?”
Heeseung inhaled sharply, licking his lips. “What did you do?”
She shrugged innocently. “Just… made your drink sweeter. You looked like you needed it.”
Heeseung slowly set his cup down, staring at it as if it had personally wronged him. “You put the whole packet in?”
Y/N nodded, eyes twinkling.
Heeseung exhaled through his nose, looking away for a second before turning back to her with a deadpan expression. “You ruined my coffee.”
Y/N lost it. She threw her head back laughing, barely able to breathe. “Oh my god—your face—I can’t—”
Heeseung groaned, shaking his head. “You’re lucky I love you.”
Still giggling, Y/N reached over and slid her own drink toward him. “Here, you can have mine.”
Heeseung eyed it suspiciously. “Did you mess with this one too?”
Y/N smirked. “Maybe.”
Heeseung let out a long-suffering sigh before taking a sip of hers anyway. “Girl I swear to god at this rate, I'll be a 25 year old diabetic.”
Y/N grinned. “I'll give you the medicines on time. Don't worry!”
And just like that, another date with Y/N became another day of Heeseung questioning all his life choices.
Jay:
Jay should have known. He really should have.
Dating Y/N meant constantly living in a state of mild paranoia, yet somehow, he had let his guard down.
It had been a chill day—Jay had taken Y/N out for lunch at a nice restaurant, and now they were walking through a quiet park, enjoying the cool breeze. The sun was beginning to set, casting a golden glow over everything. It was one of those rare, peaceful moments.
Which meant, of course, that Y/N was about to ruin it.
As they walked side by side, their hands naturally found each other. Jay gave her hand a gentle squeeze, smiling to himself. “Today’s been nice, huh?”
Y/N hummed in agreement, then casually tilted her head toward him. “Hey, Jay?”
He glanced at her. “Yeah?”
Without warning, Y/N suddenly screamed.
Like, full-on screamed as if she had seen a ghost.
Jay instantly panicked. His heart dropped to his stomach as he flinched and instinctively jumped a step back. “WHAT? WHAT HAPPENED?!”
Y/N, still gripping his hand, pointed dramatically at his shoulder. “OH MY GOD, THERE’S A HUGE BUG—”
Jay’s soul left his body.
“WHERE?!” he yelped, frantically spinning in circles, trying to shake off an imaginary bug. His hands swatted at nothing, his movements erratic as he tried so hard to smack away something that wasn’t even there.
Meanwhile, Y/N had collapsed onto the grass, wheezing.
Jay, realizing he had been played, stopped mid-panic. He turned to look at her, betrayal written all over his face. “You—YOU LIED?!”
Y/N was crying from laughter. She was holding her stomach, barely able to breathe. “You—You should’ve seen yourself—OH MY GOD.”
Jay ran a hand down his face, sighing so deeply it could have moved mountains. “I hate you,” he muttered.
Y/N sat up, still giggling. “No, you don’t.”
“…No, I don’t,” he admitted begrudgingly, still shaking his head.
Just then, a group chat notification blew up Jay’s phone.
Jungwon: “What’s going on? I just got an emergency SOS text from Jay.”
Jake: “Did Y/N do something again?”
Sunghoon: “If Jay’s in distress, I’m assuming Y/N was involved.”
Ni-ki: “I wanna see.”
Jay: “DO NOT LISTEN TO HER.”
Y/N: “He almost died.”
Sunoo: “You’re terrifying.”
Heeseung: “Again?”
Y/N: “Again.”
Jay locked his phone, exhaled, and looked at his girlfriend. “One day, Y/N. One day I’m gonna get you back.”
Y/N grinned, leaning into him. “Looking forward to it, babe.”
Jake:
The dorm was unusually peaceful for once. Most of the members were out, leaving Jake and Y/N alone in the living room. The atmosphere was cozy, with a warm glow from the lamps and a blanket draped over the couch where the two were sitting.
Jake, ever the dog lover, was scrolling through videos of puppies on his phone, his face lighting up at every tiny woof and tail wag. Y/N, on the other hand, was pretending to be equally invested but was secretly plotting.
You see, Jake had a habit—one that Y/N had noticed from the very start of their relationship. Whenever he was deeply focused, whether on a game, a show, or in this case, puppy videos, he would unconsciously open his mouth slightly, just enough for an opportunity. And tonight, Y/N had the perfect plan.
Her weapon? A single, innocent-looking popcorn kernel.
With the precision of a seasoned mischief-maker, Y/N picked up the kernel and waited for the perfect moment. Jake was watching a golden retriever puppy struggle to climb onto a couch, his lips parting slightly in anticipation—this was it.
In one swift motion, Y/N flicked the popcorn kernel straight into his open mouth.
Success.
Jake instantly choked, his eyes widening as he coughed and sat up straight. "WHAT THE—"
Y/N? She was already gone, metaphorically speaking. She was curled up on the couch, absolutely wheezing, her laughter uncontrollable as she clutched her stomach.
Jake, still in shock, turned to her with pure betrayal in his eyes. "Did you—did you just THROW POPCORN INTO MY MOUTH?"
Y/N, still gasping for breath, nodded, barely able to get the words out. "It—it went in perfectly—oh my god, that was amazing!"
Jake wiped his mouth dramatically. "What if I had choked?! What if I DIED?!"
Y/N, finally recovering, smirked. "Then at least you would've gone out in the most legendary way possible."
Jake groaned, rubbing his face, but the corners of his lips were twitching. "You're lucky you're cute, or I’d be filing a report for attempted murder."
At that exact moment, the door swung open, and Sunghoon and Jay walked in. Sunghoon took one look at Jake’s flustered expression and Y/N’s victorious one and sighed.
Jake pointed at her dramatically. "SHE THREW POPCORN INTO MY MOUTH."
Jay blinked. "…And?"
"And I ALMOST DIED."
Jay shrugged. "That actually sounds kinda cool."
Sunghoon, shaking his head, sat down. "Dating Y/N is a full-time survival game."
Jake sighed, rubbing his temples. "I should’ve seen it coming."
Y/N grinned. "You should’ve. But you didn’t."
And just like that, another chaotic moment was added to the list of "Things Y/N Did That Almost Gave Her Boyfriend a Heart Attack."
Sunghoon:
The living room was unusually quiet, filled only with the occasional sound of pages flipping and soft breathing. Jake lay sprawled on the floor mat, absorbed in a book, his fingers lazily tracing the lines as he read. Jay, perched on the armrest of a chair, had his phone tilted at an angle, eyes fixed on whatever video had caught his interest. The atmosphere was so still that it almost felt sacred—a moment of peace in the otherwise chaotic lives they led.
On the couch, Y/N and Sunghoon sat side by side, comfortably close, their legs lightly touching as they shared a bowl of peeled tangerine slices. Neither of them spoke. They didn’t need to. Their mutual zoning-out sessions were an unspoken agreement, something only they truly understood. The rhythm was simple: peel, eat, stare into space, repeat.
But then, something disrupted the cycle.
Y/N blinked, suddenly feeling a sharp sting in her eye. A rogue spray of tangerine peel juice had found its way in, making her come back to reality. But instead of reacting in pain or wiping it away, an idea—chaotic and undeniably amusing—formed in her mind. A smirk tugged at her lips as she turned to Sunghoon, who was still blissfully unaware.
"Baebe," she cooed softly, her voice sweet yet laced with mischief. "How much do you love me? A lot?"
Sunghoon, still partially zoned out, turned to look at her. He blinked slowly, processing the question, as if his brain was booting up after a long pause.
"Hmm?" he hummed, tilting his head slightly. He took a moment, genuinely considering his answer. "Of course, a lo—"
His words never made it out.
Y/N struck.
With expert precision, she squeezed the tangerine peel in her hand, sending a fresh jet of citrus straight into his open, unsuspecting eyes. The reaction was instant. Sunghoon’s entire body jerked as he recoiled, hands flying up to his face.
"AAH—WHAT THE HELL?!" he yelped, rubbing furiously at his eyes as he fell back against the couch cushions.
Y/N? Oh, she was already gone. Not physically—she was still right there, watching—but mentally, she had ascended. Her laughter echoed through the room, pure and unfiltered, the kind that made her stomach hurt. She clutched her sides, her head thrown back in utter delight at the absolute betrayal she had just committed.
Jake, who had barely reacted to anything the entire evening, slowly closed his book and turned his head towards the chaos. His mouth opened slightly as if to say something, but then he just blinked and looked back at his book, muttering, "Huh."
Jay, who had been mid-scroll on his phone, suddenly found himself witnessing a crime scene. He stared at Sunghoon, then at Y/N—who was still in the middle of her evil laugh—and then back at Sunghoon, whose dignity was now in ruins. A slow, amused smirk spread across Jay’s face.
"Bro," Jay said, shaking his head. "That’s actually insane."
Sunghoon, still half-blind, groaned. "IT STINGS. Y/N."
Y/N, between her laughter, gasped for breath. "It's good for your eyes! Consider it free skincare!"
Sunghoon, still furiously rubbing his eyes, blindly reached out, trying to grab at her, but she effortlessly dodged. "You—YOU MENACE—"
At this point, the entire dorm group chat was blowing up.
Jungwon: "Why is Sunghoon spamming crying emojis???"
Heeseung: "What did Y/N do?"
Ni-ki: "This is why we fear her."
Jay: "Y’all should’ve seen it live. It was beautiful."
Jake: "I tried to warn him in my mind, but it didn’t work."
Sunghoon: "MY EYES ARE BURNING."
Y/N: "Skill issue."
Sunoo: "Y/N, you are terrifying."
Y/N: "Thank you."
Jungwon: "You don’t deny it???"
Y/N: "Why would I? It was genius."
Sunghoon: "I’M BREAKING UP WITH YOU."
Y/N: "No, you’re not."
Sunghoon: "…Yeah, I’m not."
