THIS DESIGN ALIGNS WITH ARTISTIC INTERPRETATIONS WITHIN GILDED HELANTHIA! this is not pearls casual outfit!! idk if she has ever worn this before!!! however it takes into account the views of her citizens and how she appears in their eyes ☺️

she holds three wheat stalks, just like in the flag of gilded helanthia!

her arms and legs are wrapped; arms in bandages, legs in twine. they represent strength and modesty respectively

her singular wing is both a crescent moon shape and a curving wheat stalk, connecting her to both the heavens and the earth

she cries, for many gilded helanthians say her tears bring good harvest and fortune

her heart is open and bursting out of her body, radiating like the moon does. it shows honesty and passion

her dress in this illustration, though not colored here, is a soft creamy white. the fabric would be woven, and though its a common fabric type [shows connection to the people], the color and style are unique. together, they show power and prosperity

her posture is as if she floats, which she actually does, so it checks out. however this is also unique to just her within gilded helanthian artistic interpretations. the gilded helanthians love their connection to the earth, and any regular human citizen is solely depicted on the ground. pearl floats!

Hey guys! Sorry for the radio silence these past few months. Conflict of interests crossed with burnout on this project made it so I didn't even think about this AU for a while. I've been engaging a lot more in non-MCYT content, like Uma Musume and Limbus Company and whatnot.

But I promise I haven't given up on this AU entirely! I'm putting in some effort to work on some more logic-based worldbuilding like weather patterns, trade winds, average temperatures, etc. And I'll do my best to finish the character intros, too.

I have a rentry for the AU's Nether Arc, though no Nether Arc-specific lore is in there right now. Hopefully I can get at least a little bit in there soon. There's a link to it in the discord server if you really wanna see it (check the pinned for the link!)

The Wolf Tamer

The title was given to him by her council upon learning of her wolf abilities. It's also a reference to one of her titles in Empires S1.

Tamer - They have a wolf pack that she communicates with often

Ruler of the Undergrowth

Shelby Coliva doesn't say she was raised in the woods by a pack of wolves, but it is partially true. Since she was a small child, he always took interest in the old gods of the Undergrove; specifically, Mother Wolf. By the time they were a teenager, they had successfully met Mother Wolf herself and had been granted support from the Undergrove's wolf packs. This led Shelby towards a more popular light, and she ended up being elected as the leader of the Undergrove (the youngest in the nation's history). When not busy with politics, he tries to learn as much as possible about his ancestry and native history, while also busying herself in gardening and exploring. While they are reserved on the outside, and may seem timid at first glance, they have a stubborn streak and will not tolerate anyone who disses or downplays her or her small nation.

Current writing system: None. Too uncommon to be translated to writing

Sound quality: Clicks and whines similar to that of dolphins

Coddish-Pelagic

National language of: The Codlands

Relative age: Began developing about 100 years ago

Rarity: Fairly rare, virtually only Coddish people speak it

Origin: Started out as Pelagic slang, developed its own terminology to the point it's become another language

Writing system developed on: Clay tablets in the form of inscriptions

Current writing system: Mostly clay tablets still. Use paper but only when dealing with international goods

Sound quality: Similar to Pelagic slang, but with Mythlandic influence and some additional touches

Galactic

National language of: The Universe

Relative age: Almost as old as the Universe itself

Rarity: Common, but only in spellcasting/enchanting terms. Otherwise, very rare

Origin: The Ancient Builders communicated in this language, and it's traveled around the Universe ever since

Writing system developed on: Who knows. It's the Universe's language, not Enuode's

Current writing system: Mostly used in books, but can be inscribed into armor, tools, and weapons

Sound quality: Hard to describe. It's simple, but has lots of tonal inflictions that can make it difficult to understand

Grimlandic

National language of: The Grimlands, The Undergrowth

Relative age: 16,000 years or so

Rarity: Common. Most spoken language in the world

Origin: Developed from a mixture of Galactic, Mezalean, and Losheedian

Writing system developed on: Stone inscriptions

Current writing system: Paper

Sound quality: Lots of vowel variety, easier on the consonants

National language of: The Lost Empire (technically)

Relative age: 6,000 years or so

Rarity: Rare; only the people of the Lost Empire speak it

Origin: Was created because many of the people of the Lost Empire spoke different regional languages. Became the central language between the different civilizations scattered around the Lost Empire's islands

Writing system developed on: Depending on location within the Lost Empire, could be stone tablets, leather inscriptions, leaf inscriptions, or ink on leaves

Current writing system: Most commonly leaf inscriptions or ink on leaves, though stone tablets and leather are still used

Sound quality: Lots of consonant usage and variety

Losheedian

National language of: Losheedi

Relative age: 20,000 years or so

Rarity: Fairly common

Origin: Developed in Old Losheedi when fairies first established the capital

Origin: Evolved from Old Ysslerian to the point of being reclassified

Sound quality: A variety of consonant sounds with limited vowels. It's easy to speak this language with the teeth shut

Current writing system: None. If necessary to write it, Galactic alphabet is used

Okay... so I got a random idea.

Imagine that the area of Gilded Helithia is just full of Australian animals. They don't leave the place. They just are there. Some of them after so odd you think they are magical but after a study made by the CCMA turns out they aren't exactly all that magical

So in the end there are 2 possibilities

1. They came from some alternate universe where the conditions were far more extreme then normal

Or

2. They evolved on a separate place on the planet and arrived via some form of land mass colliding with the continent. (Think Skull Island)

In both instances the conditions bred up the need for more advanced evolution and they are still evolving by the day and the natives of the land also came with them

Also, Dodos and Tartagrades are also there

The Copper King

The title was given to him by his family, who helped aid him in the first coppersmithing. Some people hear it and think he's made of copper.

Copper - Rekhia is known for its copper craftsmanship

King - He is indeed the king of Rekhia

Leader of Rekhia

Some claim that Anthon Pixlriff is the oldest man alive, and they might not be wrong. Over twelve thousand years ago, Pix was born into a lineage directly descending from the Ancient Builders. Because of this, he learned how to navigate the world as they did: crafting, smithing, enchanting, building, mining, the like. For a while, he was satisfied with traveling around the world on a solo adventure, learning the cultures and languages of the people he came across. He was eventually taught that this world was different than others, and that he'd have to play his game differently if he were to live a satisfactory life. Thus, he established a home in the mostly-uninhabited desert of Vryris, and soon, towns began springing up all along the Vryrisian Inlet. He stumbled upon the Vigil on a mining expedition one day, and brought it to his home to study. A siege caused him to lose his home and almost lose possession of the Vigil, but he was able to keep the Vigil and later rebuilt his home in the now-Capital of Rekhia, Sorkshailim. The Vigil remains protected in the city, and Pix has spent the past few thousand years watching over his people and his home.
