I left work that day, my head was shrieking for help, as I dragged my feet down the pavement. Come on Y/N, you can do this. Just as I was about to turn the last corner, I noticed a shadow. Who the hell could that be? I furrowed my eyebrows as I followed the shadow in the wet, stormy night. And there he was…

I widened my eyes as my jaw dropped. “Finally you’re back home! Took you long enough Eh?” He asked in a teasing tone, as he got up from the stairs that lead up to my house and sauntered down to face me, his hands behind his back. I slowly took one step back, as we kept eye contact. “Why are you here?” I asked, trying to control my breathing. In response, he laughed in a sadistic tone, before tilting his head to the side slightly. “Wow what a way of treating your boyfriend. I even got you flowers,” He said, taking a bouquet of roses behind his back, smiling widely, as he tried to pass the roses to me.

“Roses… they have always been your favourite,” he commented, as he looked down at me. I then pushed them away, shaking my head. His face fell like a dagger had stabbed through his heart. “Sangyeon… we can’t do this… I told you last time we spoke to never come here again,” I told him sternly. His eyes became sweet and soft. “I’ve changed Y/N… can’t you see? Please… I can’t live without you…” He said, like he was begging for forgiveness. I took a deep breath, looking straight into his eyes. “But I can live without you…. You have hurt me so many times. But I have moved on from you, we are done.”

That manic laughter escaped from his lips. The type of laughter that makes one feel ridiculed. “You think you can get rid of me that easily?” He asked, putting a hand on his hip. “You say the same bullshit everytime we meet.” He started to say. “And you always come back to me,” he continued, before scoffing. “So you can keep denying it…” he leaned in, our lips inches apart. “But we both know we are destined to be together,” he said in a low voice, which sent shivers down my back.

I shook my head once again. “N-No, Sangyeon. Leave me alone…” I quivered under my breath, I started walking up the stairs. He stared at me, his jaw clenched up. “Stop walking away from me like a coward!” He yelled, making me stop in my tracks. I felt my breath quicken. “P-Please don’t…” I said quietly, avoiding eye contact with him. “What are you going to do if I don’t stop huh?” He asked as he continued to raise his voice. “Can you just shut up?! Please!” I shouted, as my head felt like it was going to explode any minute now. Sangyeon looked at me, his voice became all shaky. “I-I’m sorry Y/N… for everything…” he mumbled, before turning around, slowly walking away from me. “I-I love you… and we will be together soon….” He said quietly but loud enough for me to hear. From that moment on, I knew this wasn’t the end…
