Would it be helpful i people tagged those who they think would be interested?

You could...

I really don't know. Like on one hand I appreciate it so that way more people who want to participate can, but at the same time my paranoia says that if they are tagged they may feel obligated to participate which I don't want. I'm aware that I am overreacting to the idea, and that is not a big deal, but anxiety and paranoia are difficult beasts to cooperate with and be reasonable.

So I am not going to say no. If you want to tag people, you can. I'm not asking for it, and I want to make sure that those tagged are no way obligated to participate.

For Pride what does it mean? Like prideful or pride as in like sexulality pride?

Yes.

Both of those takes answer the prompt. I purposely chose pride because I knew it could be interpreted in both those ways. I wanted to give people a chance to explore Athena as a queer character, but also, if someone doesn't want to or feel like doing that, they can use pride to refer to a character trait.

If the prompt has two possible meanings or interpretations, I did those purposely so that people can answer it however they want.

About Mod:

Hi my name is El (any pronouns for me is fine). I have participate in a few of these events before, but this is my first time running one. So please stay with me as I figure this out. I will not be perfect with running this and may make mistakes. I will own up to them and try to fix it. Please just be patient with me.

General Questions:

What types of work is allowed?

All fan creations are welcomed. This can be but not limited to fanfic, fan art, edits, playlists, moodboards, headcanons, memes, et. Quality and quantity do not matter. This is an event to share enjoyment of a character, so regardless of your abilities you are welcomed to engage.

Where do you stand with AI?

Absolutely no generative AI. This an event to have fun with a community. Anyone regardless of skill level is allowed to participate as such there should be no reason for the use of generative AI. Obviously I can not stop you from using generative AI and may fail to recognize it, however, I wish to make my thoughts on this clear. This is for fans not machines.

What about fandom drama?

Fandom drama is not welcomed here. This is for fun and love of a character. People will have different views of Athena and different ideas all of them are welcomed. If you want a fight then take it where it belongs. I don't want it here. Any hate towards others participating due to their skills or anything else is also not allowed. This is for fun because we enjoy Athena. Hate or bullying has no place in that.

I will be busy but I want to participate?

The prompts will be given out ahead of time. If you want you can work on them ahead of time. Late submissions are fine, however, they may take me time to reblog them.

I don't want/can't think of a way to answer a prompt?

You do not have to do the prompts in order or do all the prompts. Combining prompts is also fine just make it clear what prompt you are answering.

The prompts are vague, how am I supposed to answer them?

The prompts are vague on purpose. This is done to allow for creativity. There is no correct way to answer the prompt. I am a literature major creative understandings of the prompt are encouraged. If you still have questions about the prompt feel free to send an ask and I will give you some ideas for how to answer them. If you are still unsure feel free to skip.

Are we supposed to work on the prompt on that day?

You could but that seems difficult. You are given the prompts early so feel free to use that time to answer them. This should be as stress free as possible so take the time that you need to get it done.

Are crossovers fine?

This is a week specifically for Epic Athena. Bringing Greek mythology is fine, however I ask you to refrain from being in other media with a version of Athena so that way you focus on Epic Athena. If you still want to bring in other media then just make sure to tag it.

Is NSFW or suggestive work fine?

Yes, just make sure to tag it properly and use read more cut to avoid triggering others.

Are there rules about what can be used?

I am anti-censorship. As such I will not tell you what you can or can not post. I just ask you to use your best judgement and make sure to tag everything appropriately. If problems arise I will create solid rules and limits. Please don't make me do this.

Can I post the creation elsewhere?

Yes, of course. This is your work feel free to post it elsewhere.

I don't have a tumblr account but I want to participate.

I tried to make it so that people can submit posts but do to attempts to use them while logged out and wasn't able to. Also apparently unless you have an account you can't send asks. So unfortunately if you want to participate you need an account. The prompts are opened to anyone so regardless of account you can use them.

If you do want me to see your work you can gift it to me on AO3. Maybe if enough people do that I will create a collection for it on AO3 if I do it next year. The reason I am not doing it this year is because I have never used AO3 collections before and my email account doesn't like AO3 emails.

I don't have twitter/x, bluesky, tiktok et.

Will there be an Epic Athena Week next year?

I would love to say yes but due to personal reasons I will say maybe. It will depend on a multitude of factors in my own life. I will not say what those factors are as I prefer to keep personal matters private. If I do decide to this next year it will likely also be in July.

Mod are you willing to do other Epic fan weeks?

Maybe. As of right now I don't have plans to do any. If enough interest in other weeks are expressed I will consider it. However, please do not spam this account asking for them. I will be petty and deny it if you guys spam me. I would ask you to send a respectful ask to my own personal blog @lonewolfel please remember that these fan weeks are a lot of work and I work full time and am a full time student. So if I say no please respect that.

If I do decide to do other weeks they likely will receive their own week.
