"I can see well enough with a mask on and it would do you well to see while we dance. Stay there." He left her to retrieve his mask, and in less than a moment's time he was back with it on.

//And to think, if the skype portion was done on tumblr as the rest had been it would have been well over 1500 before the proper kiss.
You know that development where it takes 1000+ notes to get the pair to even kiss and they’re still interesting?
I LOVE IT!

He moved quickly and easily caught her with an arm around her waist. Instead of sounding annoyed Amon laughed. "Perhaps it is time for me to put my mask on so you can actually see for this."

He let it slip by as she did say his name after -- it would take time for her to completely switch over as Amon was positive that she had been saying that for months. At least it was better than 'master.'
"I'm no expert, but it's easy to emulate." He had taken to watching his equalists during downtime -- it seemed to rouse comradery. While he didn't participate it wouldn't bee too hard - or shouldn't be at the least.

Amon knew nothing of this inner turmoil his petite concubine had, only that to him it felt as if she were opening up more. It was a good feeling for him, her not hiding as much behind that damnable fan of hers, though that fake smile she often times glued on was another matter entirely.
He turned his hand in hers, grasping it lightly. "Would you like to dance to some jazz?" That was a little easier to dance to than the last song that had played, so Inia's feet would not be in danger. Even so, he would take off his boots so it would just be his bare feet as opposed to a hard sole of the heavy boots.

if you ever think about sending me an ask and decide not to cause “oh she doesn’t care” or “oh I don’t want to bother her” literally I’m the loneliest piece of shit you can find and would still love you if you sent me the word nuzzle over and over again

Headcanons: Homosexuality in the Universe of Avatar
To start: There is a fair amount of historical documentation that suggests that before the forceful bleeding of Western cultural values into Asia, many Asian cultures were openly accepting of homosexuality both in casual and ceremonial practice. This is important to keep in mind, considering that the Avatar universe is supposed to be based entirely on various Asian cultures untouched by our world’s Western culture.
It’s for these reasons that I’ve considered the following:

The incident in Republic City had been over half a year ago. Amon - no, he was no longer that person, yet he was no longer Noatak. The first man was head of a revolution and the second was the older brother to Tarrlok. Both the man he was and his brother were long gone now, taken by an explosion caused by his younger brother. Noatak bore several scars on the posterior side of his body from that explosion and shrapnel piercing into him. There was a fair amount of hair missing from the burns, not to mention the tip of an ear. Somehow even part of his face had gotten burned. His own lie was now scarred upon him. On the bright side of things, no one should be able to recognize him.
Yet fate, the cruel mistress she was, had led him back to Republic City. He had witnessed many things that had surprised him - the fact that there was a nonbender seated as mayor to take place of the disbanded council was the major thing. Liar he may have been, a dancer in a mummer's farce, but the revolution seemed to have gotten something done.
Pity he had killed the man that had helped him. If only his lieutenant hadn't walked in, if only he hadn't panicked he could have done something. So many regrets, and the only thing he could do was live day to day.
This particular day found him in a bar down the street from Narook's. He had taken up residence in a dark corner to drink his whiskey. While he couldn't forget his regrets he could drink them away. And if anyone ever got too close he would find another bar to occupy.
Broken Spirit
Raisha stared down at the cold blank eyes of the Lieutenant. His body lay mangled underneath a heaping pile of debris. His limbs were contorted in an unnatural manner, the moist spots of tears still lingered in the corners of his eyes. . She hadn’t witnessed the events that unfolded there but she knew exactly what had happened. "Amon is a waterbender! He is the son of Yakone, and brother of Councilman Tarrlok" The Avatars voice rang deep into her ears. "The Avatar was telling the truth. Everything we’ve been fighting for was all a lie.” Her breaths were ragged. She had to fight to keep herself from sobbing. When she cried, she sounded like a blubbering fool. Her voice would not make words and she would hiccup. She couldn’t cry right now. She just couldn’t… Anger flickered in her lavender hues. "I can’t believe he did this to you." Raisha slammed her fist into the wall, sending a shock of pain through her spine. She ripped the mask off of her face and slammed it down onto the floor. She spat several curses as she rummaged through the pieces of lumber. She moved aside the wooden planks and building materials and gently took the Lieutenant in her arms. She brushed his hair from his eyes and tried to feel for a pulse. She knew he was gone, but she felt the need to double check anyways. "He betrayed us… all of us." She rested his head against the wall. Two figures entered the room behind them. Raisha looked up and couldn’t believe her eyes. It was Avatar Korra and the Fire Ferret boy, Mako. The Avatar’s arm was roped around Mako’s shoulder for support. She looked broken, as if part of her spirit had been ripped right from her body. "Amon got away…" Mako stared. ”Did he take…?" Raisha pointed at Korra. "My bending? Yeah… he did." Korra muttered quietly. "You should take him to a hospital.." Mako’s gold eyes fell upon the fallen Lieutenant. "It’s too late. He’s gone.. there’s nothing a healer can do now.." Raisha got up and dusted herself off. She would need to leave if she didn’t want to be captured by the police. "Let someone know he’s here so that they can give him a proper burial.. and you need to try to get the Avatar to a healer. There’s one thing this world needs right now, and that’s her."
The Revolution has fallen. There was nothing left for Raisha to fight for. She, like the Lieutenant and many others had dedicated their lives to following Amon. Now there was nothing left for them.
"I knew from the moment he had us kidnap Tenzin and his children, something was seriously wrong. I joined the Equalists because I wanted children to be safe, not see them in shackles and reduced into hollow versions of their former selves."
"So where are you going to go now?" Mako asked.
"None of your business. I’m a criminal. I helped assist a terrorist in nearly destroying a city… where I go now doesn’t matter." "I see… well.. good luck to you then." Mako said as he and Korra turned to leave. "I’m sorry things ended this way… and I’m sorry for the part that I played in all of this. Perhaps it’s now time that I play my part in making things right again. My Grandmother helped the Avatar long ago, and now It’s time I do as well. I will track him down. I will find him and I will make him pay for what he did."
