I’m so ridiculously in love with this fic. Like, if you were heartbroken by 9x08, go read this and have hope for humanity again. Even if the time between the end of chapter 2 and posting chapter 3 BROKE MY HEART INTO TINY PIECES.

Okay, so I’ve gotten the point across to go read whatever Neeka writes, right? Well, prepare to cry a little bit more but also see into that abyss that is Paul’s non-existent backstory on the show.

Daryl knows as soon as he does it that meeting Paul ‘Jesus’ Rovia’s eyes is a mistake because he’s pretty sure a pair like that, when filled with genuine warmth and concern, can get you to do just about anything they want.

Daryl and Jesus meet. They fight. They bond. They begin to fit together in this crazy, messed up world.

I love this because Daryl’s hesitation and distrust is just so in-character. It feels like the way it would realistically play out with Daryl learning to trust in Paul and himself? Also, Paul being insightful and caring and genuinely patient? PERFECTION. Also, there is beautiful smut.

So, I love teasing!Paul, okay? It is my forever wish that Paul Rovia have his lips curled in a teasing grin. And when he teases Daryl and Daryl tells him, if not in so many words, to fuck off? Good God, you can have my first born. It’s wonderful and I hope it never dies.

Someone keeps leaving cigarettes around The Hilltop for Daryl. He finds the culprit, but then he’s got an entirely new problem to deal with. And there aren’t enough cigarettes in the world.

I mentioned that I like Daryl having issues? I like Daryl having issues, particularly when it’s about being vulnerable. And PTSD. My sweet badass boys explore their issues and bicker a bit and I’m so here for it. Not complete but every chapter is better than the last so stay tuned.

A blue truck pulled up, one that had circled the block already if Paul remembered correctly. Taking a deep breath and trying to keep his hands from shaking, the teen stepped forward to the curb.

The guy inside was attractive, almost shockingly so. (His new acquaintances had assured him that most clients wouldn’t be.) Intense, slanted gray-blue eyes met Paul’s from under long dark hair. He wore jeans, a black button-down with the sleeves torn off, a black leather vest over that, and a scruffy goatee. The john was in his mid-thirties at a guess.

This was a guy Paul would gladly pick up at a club.

Maybe that would make it easier to go through with this.

I love little AUs like this. It’s wonderful. I wish there were more but what’s there is awesome and I adore it completely.

 The first thing Daryl notices once they’re inside the walls is a bullpen. With people inside. And other people on watch, guarding them.

 Considering Kal is still at the gates and acting normal, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out who the prisoners are.

 "What’s goin’ on,“ Daryl asks Tara through gritted teeth.

The best thing about these two is how different their approaches can be while they are both equally badass and firm in their opinions. Also, they hug and it’s like a heart full of smiles.

When Daryl Dixon was caught with his brother’s cocaine in his possession, he was tried and sentenced to prison.

His cellmate turned out to be a guy who called himself Jesus, and he seemed friendly, so friendly that Daryl wondered what the guy was locked up for.

I wish I could give a better reason than this is the AU we all deserve? With Aaron and Abraham as their sweet selves? And Paul being elusive with his backstory and a general feeling of not knowing where it’s going to go but being excited by all the possibilities? We need mooorreee. (Really. I love it and I desperately want to do fanart for this fic.)               

Honestly, there’s no enough fics for this pairing and there’s a thousand really great fics out there, so check out all the authors and give them some love!
