Little ask for cherruble, are cherruble inspired by pacific opalescence sea slug?

Also what's potential sea slug epic cherruble going to be? Since common is nudibranch (maybe) and rare is sacoglossan

I didn't really have any specific sea slug in mind when I made common cherubble admittedly, I hadn't even heard of this species until I saw this ask

Now that it's out, I can confirm that Epic Cherubble is a Volcano Snail (or Scaly Foot Gastropod if you will)

I also got another whole new character

Ori

She's a slime who was born and raised in a lab. Having spent so much of her life with people around her studying what she was, she never got a chance to learn who she was for herself.

She's prone to mirroring the behaviors of those around her and going with the flow, seeing what sticks. Even the shape her body takes can be rather inconsistent. She might experiment with being tall, short, having long hair, no hair, or sometimes she'll ditch the humanoid form altogether.

She has found work at a shop selling CDs and is strongly contemplating getting into music, though some say her songs are simply too unstable.

It was a lot of fun experimenting with weird texturing I'm not used to for her, any resemblance to any existing musical monsters is Toootally coincidental

ok. this might be a little heavy. but zzzoey. endlessly overworked. did she have family? I assume so, n’ im wondering what became of them? did they find zzzoey cause suddenly she stopped replying to messages? I can’t imagine the discovery was very pleasant. did they chalk up her untimely passing to her overwork? did they sue her office?

Sorry it took me such a long time to answer this, it was a very good question and I wanted time to sit and think about it (plus real life circumstances got scary for a while there oops)

I think Zzzoey's family was half of the reason she ended up the way she did. Her parents struggled to hide the fact that they wanted a boy. She always felt like something was missing from the way they treated her, and those suspicions were confirmed when her little brother was eventually born. She did everything she could to get her parents to notice her while they showered her brother with love and praise, and when overachieving in school somewhat worked she picked up the wrong message from it, that all she needed to get others to like her was to make sure she was always useful. She carried this lesson into adulthood, becoming a full-on people pleaser, and you know the rest.

Her brother was distraught, blaming himself for her death and even having nightmares about her coming back as a vengeful ghost trying to take everything from him the way he believes he took everything from her (her actual ghost knows it wasn't his fault, don't worry)

Her mother was more worried about her brother's reaction than anything, but her father hunted the building down and the mere threat of a lawsuit was enough for the whole team to disband seemingly overnight.

(i am very scared of setting things in stone so this is all subject to change)

Zzzoey and Misty have gone through a crazy amount of character development since I last posted and spoke about them I wanna talk about them more. official AMA time

(that's these two for the record i wanna redraw them again at some point soon)

I'll give a bit of backstory as to who these two are as well

Misty Ponds is a frog girl who grew up in a family of 31 siblings. she's a speedrunner who livestreams under the name Glitch_Hop. She tries to keep a pretty chill profile, but she's very easily excitable and fired up. She's prone to impulsive decisions, doing or saying whatever she thinks in the moment would be funny or helpful. One day, after getting tired of feeling like she had to compete with her siblings for attention, she decided to move out of her home to start anew and make a name for herself. She quickly realized this is expensive and settled for the cheapest place she could find, which ended up being a nice little cabin in the woods. She was pretty sure the place was haunted, but it's given her the best sleep she's gotten in years. (It was haunted, by the way. This is called Zzzoey.)

Zoey Somnata, now known as Zzzoey, is a ghost. In life, she was a bit of a people pleaser who worked in a pretty hostile office environment, where she'd spend nearly all of her time running around and helping her coworkers with whatever huge projects or tiny chores. It got to the point where she was piling so much responsibility onto herselfhardly had enough time to do so much as sleep. It was enabled and encouraged, even when her health started visibly deteriorating. One day, her body decided it had enough of this, and simply gave out on her when she came home from work, where she fell asleep and didn't wake up again.

As a ghost, she spends her afterlife catching up on all of the sleep she missed out on in life. She has a very warm and bubbly personality, as she did her best to leave the bitterness and resentment at having wasted her life in her body. (I'm pretty sure there won't be any consequences to this later down the line.) She means well, though she doesn't always seem like she's 100% there in the head, as if she's never fully certain whether or not she's still asleep and dreaming. She has the ability to use her pillow to share dreams with anyone else who lays on it with her, which she sometimes uses to befriend people with reduced risk of freaking them out by being a ghost.

made a fusion of Misty and Zzzoey for fun, her name is Hazy

super super proud of her, i thought a mermaid tail would be a fun combination of the ideas of a ghost tail and the fact that she is oh so froggy, I like to think this is something they can only really do while dreaming

may or may not have made this due to the fact i may or may not have recently gotten back into steven universe
