the problem of fearing that people you care about may start to hate you is that when they tell you they won't, you only believe it for a short period of time. then it comes back and your brain yells at you for being a so miserable fucking idiot. that exactly those people will start to hate you for saying over and over again that you don't want them to hate you. and you end up with the fear of them hating you and the urge to get the reassurance that they won't. And that will make you believe that you are a selfish, annoying person
