I absolutely love her and I'm so glad for this writing honestly.
You wanna know how you make such an iconic line that much more impactful?
You have it spoken by someone who's burying her own humanity under a facade of corporate presentability because she believes she can do nothing to save humanity.
By someone who's trying to save her family from a cruel and oppressive system by joining the people who control it, no matter how much she regrets it.
By someone who does utterly terrible things that she regrets, not out of selfish desires, but out of utter hopelessness and desperation caused by the knowledge that she cannot do anything to stop the inevitable.
GOD I LOVE HER CHARACTER SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(not to be that person) but if I remember correctly that man said he worked for West-Tek and then got a job with Vault-Tec, Cooper was criticizing West-Tek and that man I believe said he was one of the people who worked on the armor.
Remember his wife works for Vault-Tec one the top heads of vault tec, do you really think he'd be that comfortable with her and doing the commercials if he was that mad at them for the faulty armor that injured him in the war?
All that aside. Everything you said is still correct and valid, just not in this context. ALL the corporations are that level of evil, West-Tek is what you want to complain about in this context.
This scene demonstrates why I love how Vault-Tec is written as an evil corporation. It's not the usual mustache-twirling, over-the-top villainy you see in other media. It's quiet, subtle, and very realistic, which only serves to make Vault-Tec that much more terrifying.
When Cooper finishes describing how Vault-Tec was responsible for the deaths of countless people, the executive here does two things: a) he makes their deaths about himself (ALL WHILE NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGING THEM!), and b) he makes it about "Product Management."
It really emphasizes the theme that corporations like Vault-Tec and the suits who run them at Vault-Tec only care about the company and its products and NOT the people who use them (or are being used by them).

The Fallout show is pretty fun so far. I still have 3 episodes to go. Everytime Lucy said "Okey dokey", this was all I could picture.

Sharing my Fallout OC that I made in 76. I made her before it was ever announced however.
Here's my ghoul OC, Her name's Sam(antha) she was a medical student before the great war unforunately she was in Vegas when the bombs dropped so she never could make it to her designated vault for obv. reasons.
Years ago I made some audio log scripts of her process of becoming a ghoul and her years of being a doctor for any survivors and settlers on the west coast.
I also came up with a concept with my friend that she has to constantly fight any cannibalistic urges to prevent becoming a feral ghoul (which now the show has these little serums sooo *shrug?*).
You can't actually be a ghoul, but I did my best to making her look like a ghoul, and I use a modified version of the Radicool build where your mostly luck based, you *need* rads and mutations.
She's a sniper (rifles) and revolver (pistols) based play style.
