Maybe not the thing you want to be known for but a professor (only half jokingly) just mentioned the existence of an up-and-coming academic subfield of literary analysis aptly named "Swiftology" and told us about some renowned literary professor's book on Swift being published soon and well it made me think of your reputation as a Gaylor scholar-
not that out there tbh, professors love using widely-known and easily accessible pop cultural moments as a lens and stepping stone with which to teach broader concepts. like I did a little google on up and coming Swift-themed classes and it's p much what you would expect re: using her music and career to get students thinking about literary analysis, social trends, etc. it's a smart way to get student attention on something they might not otherwise get excited about. when I was an undergrad there was a "Beyoncé class," which was actually a class using the success of Lemonade to trick students at my white-ass university into taking a class on introductory Black feminist studies.
anyway having said that @ any university let me come teach a class on conspiracies using gaylor as a lens please please please please please please please the publicity will be sooooo crazy

I know technically speaking Bruce heavily tampered with the crime scene, but I'm sure the news or a rumour about what happened to the second Robin returned anyway to Gotham. And I wonder if parents, knowing the kind of psychos that existed in their city banned little kids from wearing any Robin costumes or colours for Halloween or anything for years after.

The idea of the Batkids doing normal people things while suited up is hilarious to me, you know, like Red Robin and Spoiler making the 9 o'clock news while racing through a grocery store because they totally forgot to get the things Alfred asked them to bring for the family dinner. Or Damian and Dick swinging into the Bludhaven Zoo mid-patrol because Dami really wanted to see the new baby tiger. Red Hood buying lemonade from a kid's stand and then standing there awkwardly messing with his helmet, trying not to hurt the kid's feelings. Black Bat, on a particularly tiring day randomly appeared in the nosebleeds of the ballet hall and started sniping phones out of people's hands. Or Signal and a deeply irritated Batman changing out a blown-out tyre in some back alley, earning amused looks.

My friend was playing sims and he named a character red hood. So this morning he yelled "HOLY SHIT RED HOOD IS PREGNANT"
Jason Todd was also in the academy library with us. (He likes to talk to our history teacher) and he almost had a stroke hearing that.
Almost killed him for real this time. (Did he actually fake his death the first time?? Or did he come back?? Because I swear to God. It feels like he came back from the dead somethings-)

my manager just asked me what my hobbies are outside of work and i cannot accurately describe how surreal it was. it was like being asked by the guy who locked you in the dungeon if you used to do anything fun before they locked you in the dungeon.

Once while I was at work a grown ass man told me "no matter how tough you act you'll never be a man, just like I'll never be a woman" and I know he MEANT like "I'm tougher than you because women are weak" but I heard it in Queer and went "Oh.... sweetheart" and he just completely recoiled it was insane

Reblogging things I like feels a lot more goblinesque than upvoting ever did. The upvotes felt like "hmm yes, I approve *golf claps*" while reblogging feels like furtively staring at something before shoving it in your mouth and scurrying back underneath the nearest piece of furniture.
Which isn't to say that I don't like it. But I definitely find myself going "maybe I shouldn't reblog this because I've already reblogged a bunch of things today and I don't want to look like I don't have a life," I say as I close the app and reopen it like one of those little automatic box toys with the switches.

Great news everyone. There was a kitten wandering in the drive thru at work and my inner warrior cats kid tried to be a hero and capture him.
I have now suffered multiple puncture wounds and have to go to the emergency room.

genuinely baffling to me how little (at least in my individual experience) people bring up that a girl died at a taylor swift concern in brazil because they weren’t allowed to bring in water, and swift’s only comment has been that she doesn’t want to think about it because it makes her sad??? regardless brazil is considering a law that would make it mandatory for events to provide water if you cannot bring yours in. it would be called the ‘taylor swift’ law.
which is madness, because it should absolutely be named in memory of Ana Benevides. I think people who wanted to hold Swift personally accountable for her death were off base, but her silence in regards to Brazilian fans and activists pushing to prevent similarly dangerous conditions happening again has been CRAZY.
