lxvrina:
Of all the places Lovrina anticipated meeting somebody who’d match up to her caliber, Orre Colosseum would’ve at least made the top five. But Sabrina? Saffron City Gym Leader, not to mention a main actress in the movie series she was currently binge watching?
Boy, was Lovrina a lucky girl today.
She gave the other trainer a smirk and picked up a Poké Ball of her own, containing Casper within. A Misdreavus against a Psychic-type specialist? Piece of cake. If he did a good job today, she just might give him a Dusk Stone as a special prize.
“It’d so be my pleasure,” she replied, smirking.
"Perfect.” The leader replied, taking her place opposite of the other on the battlefield. She knew this was going to be the match she was searching for. The match that would ignite the flame for battling.
Sabrina unhooked a Pokeball from her belt just has the other had sent out a Misdreavus. What an interesting start, Sabrina told herself. The other obviously knew she was a master of Psychic-type. “That’s an interesting choice to begin a battle with.” Sabrina said out loud, sending out her own Pokemon in battle; a Sigilyph.
“Good luck. And may the odds be ever in your favor.”

Send ❓+ a name, and my muse will explain how they feel about them.
Giovanni:
“Giovanni is… hard to explain. I appreciate everything he has done to help me. He took time out of his busy schedule to help me, a helpless child with psychic abilities. I’ll always be grateful for his help. And.. at one time I would have dropped everything to help him. But, you see, I had to leave. I had to leave him and his dream. I wasn’t that helpless child anymore and I no longer needed his help. So, in short, I’m grateful and appreciative for his help. Without his “fatherly” guidance, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

watersmistress:
Misty would interact with other leaders if they came to her, but she wasn’t going to go out of her way to visit them. Most of them creeped her out or annoyed her. But if she was in a town, she wouldn’t mind a friendly chat and battle.
“Oh wow, that’s cute,” Misty said with a smile. “My goldeen was my mother’s, although she wasn’t the first one I caught,” Misty said with a smile. “I remember playing with it when I was young.
Sabrina smiled as her fellow gym leader started to mention their Goldeen -- who once belonged to her mother. It filled Sabrina up some positive energies, but it also made her remember her own childhood and mother.
Sabrina’s mother was also a psychic, but she had no idea. Her mother, and even her father, tried hiding their powers from her. They didn’t want her growing up in a household where everyone was probably called a freak behind their backs. They did their best giving her a normal childhood until her powers came to. Then everything went downhill. Sabrina had hurt someone in her class and ran away. She grew up just outside the city for a few months before meeting a mysterious stranger who wanted to help her. He had taught her control and how to control her powers. But once she returned to the city years later, her parents had already left.
“What were your parents like?” The leader asked the other. It was a question the psychic thought she’d never ask anyone in her life.

Sabrina always thought it was nice taking time off and connecting with her fellow Kanto Leaders. Each member of the league had their own strengths and flaws, something she, herself, had come to realize. She, too, was scared of Bug-types. But not because they had the type advantage over hers, but because they were just plain creepy.
“The first Pokemon I ever caught wasn’t a Ghost-type. It was my Alakazam.” She replied to the question the other had asked. “Well, an Abra. She’s been with me since I was a child.” The psychic looked over the other and smiled. “There’s nothing wrong with catching a Staryu. I think Water-types are just as amazing as my Psychic-types.”
@espmistress
“So what was the first Pokemon you ever caught?” Misty asked curiously. “Was it a ghost Pokemon? I would imagine that would be hard to catch as a newbie.” Bug and Ghost Pokemon used to scare Misty when she was a kid. But she had grown out of her fear of Ghost Pokemon after she grew up. Bugs were still a work in progress, though. “Mine was a Staryu though, so I suppose I don’t have much room to talk.”

Pink Ladies · Sabrina & Lovrina
@lxvrina liked for a starter!
Finding herself bored of gym battles, the Saffron Leader took time off to find that spark that spark that made her want to be a leader, again. The first time she felt like this, she traveled to Unova and somehow managed to star in a movie series as an evil queen. The movies resparked that light and she flew back to Kanto to continue her role. Unfortunately, staring in a movie wouldn’t do the trick this time.
Instead, Sabrina found herself at the Orre Colosseum. She heard rumors about the famous landmark about only the strongest Orre trainers go to. The leader figured if this place didn’t do the trick, nothing would. And the colosseum offered some kind of tournament. A perfect place to relight that flame for battling.
The psychic pretty much followed the crowd, staying out of sight. She was watching the different battles, and mentally picking out the stronger trainers. For her first battle, she didn’t want just anyone to battle. Sabrina wanted the best.
And the best brought her to another trainer. One who was roughly her age and with really long pink hair styled in two pigtails. Sabrina knew this trainer would be a good start and finally made her appearance.
“I like the way you battle. Care to show me how powerful you actually are?” Sabrina spoke up to the other, twirling two Pokeballs between her fingers.

Giovanni smiled slightly at her attempted hyperbole. ‘Snorlax’ would suit the phrase well. In any case, Giovanni lead them toward Saffron City, hoping she wouldn’t be averse to the destination. There were several restaurants there whose owners Giovanni was familiar with; they could get food without attracting much attention, then be on their way to his home in Celadon.
The Abra indicated it was hungry as well, causing Sabrina to giggle. It was cute, typical childish behavior that he was relieved to see in a child as isolated as she had been. The voice in his head was less endearing. Giovanni wasn’t sure if Sabrina had intentionally broadcast her thought to him, and though it was sweet of her it reminded him to be cautious. There was no telling the extent of her powers, but he meant her no harm; there was nothing to fear from her possibly reading his mind. Perhaps this could even be a learning experience.
‘Thank you, Sabrina,’ he thought, unsure exactly how to project the thought enough for her to pick up on it. He didn’t have much experience with psychic-types, and had even less with psychics themselves. ‘That’s an impressive ability.’ He waited a moment to see if she would respond in kind, or if he would have to say the words out loud.
Sabrina forgot what it was like being in the city, but being in Saffron City didn’t seem to bring any memories of her past. She probably hid them deep down, or because she was with the other, she didn’t have to fear that someone would see her and bring up something she did months ago.
Once she heard the other in her own head, she stopped. She had no idea what was happening. After all, the only voice she ever heard was Abra’s, so this was new to her. Could she read the thoughts of other people as well as Pokemon’s? This scared her. The young girl did not want to read the minds of others.
“Mr. Giovanni.” Sabrina said out loud. “Do you have similar abilities as I do?” She was asking about being able to hear his thoughts as if it were hers.

Deck the Halls · Drabble
The trainer found herself smiling as she walked down the streets of Saffron City. It was unusual, especially during this time of year. She really didn’t like December at all. It was the month of celebration filled with useless decorations of snowmen, reindeer, tress of different sizes, and a guy in a red suit. She found it draining; her powers going wild. However, this year was different. It was still draining for her, but she wanted to participate in the holiday festive.
Sabrina greeted the traveling storyteller outside her gym. He had a small group of children surrounding him. She could tell the storyteller was telling them a Christmas poem; The Night Before Christmas.
“Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even Meowth.”
She smiled and waved at the children and entered gym. Inside, she looked around and nodded. She had one of her students, Franklin, help her decorate the building with greens and white. They bought a tree and put it up in one of the corners. It’s decorations matched the color-scheme of the decorations that hung throughout the gym and her apartment upstairs.
“Very good, Frank. Thank you for all your help.” She told the trainer, as he finished putting up a white star on the top of the tree. “The gym looks nice. Do you have any plans for Christmas? I’m thinking about throwing a party of sorts. Invite the other Indigo League Leaders. You, of course, are very much welcome to come. Bring some friends along, if you want.”
Other people may think it’s not a big deal to have a party, but to Sabrina it was a very big deal. She was just overly excited about celebrating her first Christmas since running away from home.

A small sigh escaped the lips of the brown-haired trainer, she didn’t like being forced to wait, but she had to in this situation. The Saffron Gym Leader was busy with a class, and she shouldn’t interrupt her, but she wanted to battle her. There wasn’t anything wrong with wanting a battle with a gym leader, right? Oh well, she might as well walk in and try and ask her anyways.
The sudden voice in her head caught her off-guard, but then again, the leader was a psychic after all, so it only made sense. It doesn’t make it any less surprising though, but she nods at the words, even if the other can’t see that.
“Yeah, there’s nothing wrong with that right?” She knew who the other was, she wasn’t the champion of Unova for nothing after all. “Besides, you seemed quite bored from just teaching. That gets boring after a while I take it. I’m Rosa, and if it’s a battle you want, then it’s a battle you’ll get!”
It was quite rare that Sabrina got to battle a trainer out of the Tohjo Region, but it was rarer that a champion would want to battle her. She was, after all, one of the stronger leaders in Kanto. However, that didn’t change things when Sabrina heard the other speak their name.
The psychic has heard about her opponent while working in Unova. Rosa was the current champion of that region, and quite powerful. Sabrina was going to be remembering this battle for years to come.
“You’re right,” Sabrina began. “Teaching does get boring after a while. But it’s also a passion I enjoy doing.” The leader smiled, looking over the other. “Let’s get going, shall we?”

Is there someone or something that has influenced your character’s personality in some noticeable way?
Character Development Memes #02: Personality
( I’d like to think that Team Rocket has influenced her personality in a very noticeable way. For example, she was this terrified child, scared of hurting people and her powers. But when Giovanni took her in, she came to accept her powers and came to accept her past actions when it came to her powers. She basically grew up with Team Rocket, and because of that she had to bury certain emotions. She didn’t want to be the weak little girl she was. She actually wanted to impress Giovanni and be just as strong as him, both in and out of battling Pokemon. )

Who or what does your character care about the most? Why?
How does your character view morality? Do they see morals as black and white, or something more complex? Are they a moral person?
How do they deal with stressful situations? Do they work well under pressure?
Does your character think things through before making choices? How often do they regret the actions that they take?
How does your character’s personality affect their day to day life?

How well does your character get along with others? What traits do other people have that annoy them? What traits do they seek out in others?
What does your character truly feel about their personality? Do they like/dislike it?
Would your character change anything about themselves? Why?
Imagine your character 20 years from now. How have they changed?
Do other people often see the “real” side of your character?
What would your character be like if they had a completely opposite personality?

stealexploitprofit:
Giovanni had been hearing rumors about the strange goings-on around Saffron City for about a month before he decided to personally investigate. The reports were inconsistent at best, with some suggesting a powerful psychic-type was responsible, while others blamed ghosts. Eventually the story had taken on a life of its own, and the only way to get the grunts to stop talking about it was to put it to rest. If it was a Pokémon, he would catch it. If it was anything else, Giovanni would deal with that too.
What he hadn’t been expecting to find was a young girl and an Abra, both utterly frightened by his presence. He’d tried to appear as harmless as possible, offering help and food. She hadn’t responded, but she hadn’t run away either.
It’d taken a while, but eventually Giovanni remembered an incident from a few months back that had briefly made the papers: an accident at a school, with a boy injured under mysterious circumstances. A little girl with psychic abilities she couldn’t quite control would explain both that story and the strange tales he’d been hearing from Saffron’s branch of Team Rocket.
And she’d been living alone all this time. She was several years older than his son, but Giovanni didn’t like the idea of any kid having to fend for themselves for so long, especially one with her abilities. What she needed was some training. Giovanni didn’t know if he was the right person for the job, but apparently no one else in the girl’s life had stepped up to try. The minute he’d suggested as much, her withdrawn demeanor fell away and she began to speak up.
Her name was Sabrina, and from her concern with hurting anyone with her powers, Giovanni felt even more certain that she was the one responsible for the accident at the Saffron school.
“No, you won’t. Once you get some practice, you won’t have to feel afraid,” he assured her. He wasn’t sure if it was true, but it was what she needed to hear. “And of course Abra can come.” There was no way Giovanni could be around her all the time, so it would be good for her to have a companion. Team Rocket headquarters were no place for a kid, but between his apartment in Celadon and his home in Viridian there was plenty of room for her to stay, at least until he figured out what the situation with her family was.
“Are you hungry?”
It had been a rough few months living in the wild but the moment the older gentleman appeared, everything seemed to fall in place. Unlike everyone else, he wanted to help her, to protect her, to help her control her powers. She was excited. Too excited in fact.
The girl nodded at the question. Sabrina was starving. She hasn’t had a real meal in months. She probably forgot what real food tasted like; only eating berries whenever she was hungry. “I’m hungry that I can eat a --” She paused, trying to think of a Pokemon big enough to satisfy her hunger.
She then looked at her Abra. “You’re hungry right, Abra?” She asked. The Pokemon nodded and Sabrina giggled to herself.
“You’re right. He is a nice person.” She said telepathically to the Abra. As well as to Giovanni.

A Formal Mentor [Flashback] • Sabrina & Giovanni
@stealexploitprofit wants to battle!
It had been a few months since she ran away from her home in Saffron City. She had been on the run (not really, she hid on Kanto Route 08) since discovering her telekinetic powers and injuring an older student from her school. Though, in her defense, the student had it coming; they were a bully and kept calling her a 'freak of nature.' She was tired, hungry, and surviving as best as she can. Honestly, she probably couldn't survive by herself; she had help from a new friend, an Abra she rescued from trainers.
She had gotten so used to living in the wild, that Sabrina forgot how to interact with others. So, when she first ran into the older gentleman, she was terrified. The young girl tried her hardest to teleport away, but something about him made her stay. It was probably his calming voice. Or how he presented himself to her. Whatever the reason, the young psychic followed him. He did say that he'd help her control her powers and become her mentor. Hearing this, it didn't take long for her to open up and talk to him.
"I won't hurt people anymore, right, Mr. Giovanni?" The young girl asked. Sabrina was excited that she's finally be able to control her psychic abilities without hurting anyone again. "Can I also bring Abra with us? She also needs to control her powers."
