Uncertain/Questioning starters
“Are you sure about this?”
“How do I know that I can trust you?”
“I don’t think we should go in there…”
“What is that?”
“I don’t know… maybe? Why are you asking me?!”
“Can I ask you something?”
“What do you want from me?”
“That doesn’t look safe…”
“Why would you even think that this was a good idea?”
“How do you plan to get away with this?”
“I’m… not sure what I saw… It couldn’t have been real.”
“What happened? I can’t remember…”
“Be careful, I think I heard something.”
“Why is it always me?”
“I could have sworn I saw it…”
“It was left- No right-! I mean-! Oh no…”
“Where do we go from here?”

“German or french?!” Donny yelled over at the other, gun pointed with his finger on the trigger. In the dull days in between conquests, the basterd got bored. Bored turned to annoying and that’s when Aldo would kick him out of camp. He couldn’t help it, He couldn’t just sit there all day.
A walk seemed like a good idea until he stumbled upon the other and pointed his gun at them, forgetting all about his bat for a minute.
“Yah better tell me before I blow yah fuckin’ head off.”
it’s bad enough bill wasn’t with ted, but even worse to be caught like this. the time machine had been acting real bizarre lately, leaving him searching for better supplies ( likely food & some foil for the antennae, ) & he’s been doing real well up until he’s got a gun pointed at him.
uh-oh.
he raises up his hands: the common sign of surrender, “n-neither, dude! i most assure you, i’m american.”

NURSE BABE.
Eloise stood there, staring, like a fool she was sure, the screams of men behind her completely blocked out by the fact that there was a strange man standing in front of her wearing, God only knew what, and had appeared as if he weren’t part of any war happening at the moment. Where had he come from, she wanted to know, but then again there were many things about this meeting that she suddenly needed answers to, like why he was talking the way he was talking.
“Wha-what?” The woman furrowed her brow as she tilted her head at him, as if this were somehow going to make the answers come quicker and be easier to hear. Was she dreaming? Had she been knocked unconscious by a bomb? Had she died? Was she dead? Oh God, she was dead and this was hell.
Biting her lower lip to the point where she felt her eyes water, she realized that the pain made it all too real, just like those screams and bombs outside that tore her attention from the blonde in front of her who was introducing himself as if they were at some swing club on leave.
Bill, his name was Bill, he was looking for his buddy. Sighing out, she looked around over her shoulder at the men who lined the tent in their cots and makeshift beds, some sleeping, some bandaged, others yelling and crying for someone as people worked on them. Swallowing, she looked back to the man before her, eyes still scanning his odd attire.
“What company are you in?” She questioned, but suddenly she realized he had questioned the year. Had he been hit in the head?
Brown eyes scanned his body quickly, trying to find some sort of wound, but he was so…clean…so…what was he? Reaching over, for whatever weird reason, she pinched him. He was real, so why did all of this seem not to be?
“1944? Uh, Bill, right? Bill, why don’t you come with me, ehm…just follow me.” Eloise was going to take him to an empty cot and examine him. If he didn’t know what year it was, he must’ve been hit on the head pretty hard, but still, it didn’t make sense as to why he wasn’t in a uniform, nor did it make sense that he was wearing those hideous clothes.
the nurse babe looked completely confused, then again who wouldn’t be when someone from the future made an unexpected visit near the middle of the war-zone? which reminds bill that maybe the situation was more dire than he realized if ted wasn’t with him & could be lingering around somewhere with bullets being shot, “company? uh,” he had to stop and think about it just a few seconds before answering, “the WYLD STALLYNS.” he grins as though his answer, a long awaited one that requires upmost concentration, was accurately put out. & most INDEED what she meant.
before he can continue, whether asking about HER name or if she’d seen ted at all, he felt a small sharp pain.
“ow! what’d ya do that for?” he sounded more confused than angry, even looked the part, too. eyes flicker down where she made contact on his forearm and noticed it growing red there. at least it wasn’t a punch -- or a dump off a cliff. he looks back up at her -- still, what a babe no matter how confused.
“1944! so that means.. this is a war--” what war was it? the first world war or the second one? the question is dismissed from his psyche as she requested he followed; surely he’ll come back to that when the problems lessened on his plate. so with a complying nod, & hope that she’ll further elaborate on his friend’s whereabouts, he follows, “lead the way!” an arm outstretched with a smile.
upon reaching it, he slumps down pretty quick. the shakes of the ground didn’t put him much at ease, but neither did ted’s absence.

Eloise, every time she heard an explosion, would duck, despite knowing it was against the Geneva convention for anyone to strike down medical setups, though there were some who didn’t care and it was obvious the fighting nearby was getting too close for comfort, even for some of the soldiers who were sitting up in their beds nervously, looking around at the medical staff with pleading eyes, as if asking: “You going to get us out of here?” Elle couldn’t say she could, but they were contemplating it, but this was war, wherever you went, bombs and bullets were going to be there waiting to strike somebody or something.
She was holding a large bowl containing blood red water, water that she was on her way to dump outside of the tent as chaos continued both inside and out. She was trying to help a man who had his leg blown off, of course the surgeon was now working on him, but she was doing her best by keeping the station clean and even bouncing around to other patients who were in dire need of new bandages or pain medication or something. This had been one of the worst weeks for her here as they moved further into Germany and those Krauts were putting up one hell of a fight.
As she spun around to move towards the flap of the tent, she bumped into a man and the bowl fell to the ground and she instantly cursed, though it wasn’t because she lost something valuable but because she wasn’t paying attention.
“I’m so sorry,” she said as she bent down, but heard an unfamiliar voice say something very…peculiar. As her eyes fell to the feet of the man, she noticed something else was off – what kind of shoes were those? And pants? And shirt?
Her eyes traveled up to the man and she frowned heavily, slowly rising from her squatting position, sizing him up and finding everything about him to be completely…odd.
“Who are you?” It was all Eloise could ask as she stood there in front of this blonde haired stranger. He looked like he came from outer space.
there was so much going on, like an endless spool of poppers that all go off from the same lined fuse. the first pop nearly killed him, but ( hopefully ) left the time machine unscathed; the second? well, it isn’t as frightening nor heart-stopping as the first, but it definitely caught him off-guard. the first glimpse of red water made him assume it was actual blood, when it was PARTLY blood. his shoes got some splattered on it, prompting him to look down at it and briskly step back, “whoa! no, it’s my fault--” he tried to bend down to help her, but she already snatched the bowl by the time he moved.
whoa. what a babe.
he can’t help but stare at the nurse, though the presence of the wounded & dying helped break him free of his trance. “i’m bill, and--” he almost introduced his friend. sadly enough, his friend was not here at the moment, but LOST somewhere, “& i’m trying to find my distinguished colleague & friend, ted. have you seen him?”
bill can’t help but have his eyes wander towards the wounded soldiers. it makes him uneasy, to say the least, to be able to hear & bear witness to the agony they were all probably enduring at the moment.
“uh.. what YEAR is it?”

“hello? hello?!” that’s weird, the phone sounded dead; not even a dial tone to indicate it was active whatsoever. maybe the phone booth was short-circuiting? as he left the phone booth to take a peek up at its antennae, loud spurts of gunshots rang through the air.
"oh, man!” he swivels around. a huge explosion strikes the earth yards away causing clods of dirt through the air; it sprinkles through the air like rain, showering over him.
the sounds of bullets became louder.
no use hiding in the phone booth anytime soon. fortunately ( or not so, bill wasn’t really thinking too into it ) a tent was nearby. tent, with a cross. that’s a good sign, right? before more unneeded sprinkles of dirt came his way, he ducked beneath a flap and bumped into a woman.
“this is most non-triumphant.”

he’s been noticing his dialing had gone askew. wrong numbers, maybe, & in the wrong order ( even if he thought he & ted dialed it RIGHT. ) the time looked familiar as bill looked out through the glass, but as he stepped out, not a hint of san dimas showed.
“bogus!” he sees a silhouette nearby --- the only one AROUND, from the looks of it --- then he waves, “uh, hey! excuse me, but do you know what YEAR it is?”
#i was amazed to find alex winter in the lost boys too omg#alSO super hearteyes at your michael#oftheniight#❭❱❱. CLOSED STARTERS.
