I’ve been bit by the bullet journal bug. I like the freedom of creating the pages I need to keep my life organized. I really enjoy the process.
I find inspiration on Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram. I’ve gathered my favorite images on a Pinterest board divided into categories like: weekly spreads, trackers, and doodles. I can easily find what I’m looking for when planning a spread.
I also complied a playlist on YouTube of my favorite videos at the moment. For example, in this video by AmandaRachLee, she shares techniques for dealing with mistakes. She is a lifesaver!
How do you keep yourself organized?

Postcards for Migrant Families

Dear Letter Writing Friends,
I was excited to hear about the opportunity to send postcards directly to families in migrant shelters El Paso, Texas. I learned about this project through Patricia Okoumou’s instagram. She is an activist known for scaling the Statue of Liberty on July 4, 2018 in protest of the government’s unacceptable treatment of migrant children. She will be traveling to Texas on February 14th to distribute these postcards along with other activists.
“Our goal is to collect Valentine's Day Cards symbolic of the thousands of children affected by the Trump's Zero tolerance immigration policy.” - Patricia Okoumou
I encourage you to watch this video from the Tornillo Occupation. It will break your heart!
You can download postcards from Patricia Okoumou’s website.
Mail the postcards to: C/O The Glass Box 210 Poplar Street El Paso, TX 79901 Postcard artwork above is by Mary Hawkins. You can purchase postcards from her shop to support the cause as well.

I made the background of this page with distress oxide inks using the packaging technique. I stenciled the letters and painted them with acrylic ink. Inspired by the work of Katie Licht.

I used a die cut inlay technique on this card. I love how it turned out! It’s a simple technique with a big impact.

My inspiration for this birthday flipbook was colorful collage-like layers with vintage touches. My sister loved it!
