This isn't criticism but does that anon know about the hundreds of identical ocs that exist out there? Off the top of my head right now I can name at least 3-4 dark haired white emo boy ocs who all have band shirts and skinny jeans and a purple hair streak and that's just the ones I remember (and have seen)(not judging its just what I can think of rn lol). It's literally like, fine, if you make a design that looks like someone else's. Nothing is original etc etc, eventually 2 people are going to completely independently make identical ocs it's just how it goes sometimes. Nothing to be anxious about. Most people when they see someone has an oc that looks like theirs aren't going to go "hey! Thief!!" they're going to go "oh neat!" and move along, it's chill it's fine, if making a character that looks like someone else's was bad we'd have run out of art to make by the stone age

today I was told by not one but two blendering friends that there is no addons for blender that will make me powerful, and the way to become a blender god is through learning the manual way to do retopology, rigging and weight painting

brb I must go through all stages of grief and then I will gather strength to do things the hard but proper way

I tried to rig and I failed, I managed to somehow put this guy in some pose and tried to overpaint it to not look so poopy but in the middle of doing that I suddenly decided that I hate this light setup I will be back at rigging but I also realized I'm so bad at lightning things I need to do something about it

I'm still fighting blender, I still didn't give up and I have very ambitious plans to not only paint it, but rig it as well. Pray for me and wish me luck I will need it

Blender let me have some fun just to have me step in a huge pool of poop which is weight painting. Look at this beautiful boy I created with my hands, blood, sweat and tears, look at him. And then look at the cursed beast he became when he touched the unholy paint of weight. It is simply too heavy for him. It is also too heavy for me and past me would rage quit today but I am not past me, I'm a me who already lost the ability to tell what past or future is, and since I'm stuck in the space wormhole of blender I might as well try again and again till I roll that boulder up the hill

I also colored and rotated this one, character belongs to @starryswirly with each model I feel a skyrim experience bar appearing above my head, honestly I'm surprised I got this far this time

I not only figured out how to color it but also made its body I hope you all are proud of me but if you're not then it's okay too because I'm proud of myself, good job me

Coming back with another blender creature, this one belongs to @rowdychickens and I will be trying to color it once my brain gets wrinkly enough to comprehend the uv unwrapping and texture painting. Right now the unwrapped pelt is disappearing before my eyes as if it was cotton candy dipped in the water and I am very confused

my blender knowledge is still expanding though, soon I will be unstoppable have a very nice evening

Blender update number next, I was feeling fancy and I wanted to make a whole body of a character in blender. After the blockout yesterday I thought success is so close I can grab and swallow it like a seagull but it then I tried sculpting on it and Blender reminded me that I am not its master, I am a mere virus that Blender's immune system is trying to get rid of

You win another round blender, but just because I'm tired today. JUST YOU WAIT TILL I REST. I will rest so good and drink so much water that in the near future I will COME BACK and sculpt this beast whether you like it or not. Blender, I tell you, you will STOP taking bites out of my beast's legs

I DID NOT GIVE UP YET. New day has come and I return with this fantastic version 2.0 of yesterday's cat head. I know it has ugly parts but if you start to notice them then it's time to turn around immediately or close your eyes - Do not perceive my mistakes. Instead, admire the fact that I finally managed to model a simple hair that made me ragequit at least two times before. But now I'm better, StronGER, MORE PATIENT and someday I will even learn how to texture paint

Day 3 of not knowing what I'm doing in the world of 3D

Good news is that I managed to finish the hand. Bad news, just like Icarus I flew too close to the Sun and fell down defeated by blender once more. Note to self, just because I managed to follow a hand tutorial apparently does not mean that I'm now able to model a cat. UNBELIEVABLE. You win THIS round Blender, but know that I will be back with more knowledge soon
