Besides, Prune Juice was better than him in every way. There was no reason for Capsaicin to lecture him about things. Pruce Juice was capable, smart, and oh Witches if Capsaicin had just a slither of such brilliance he wouldn't be so impulsive and sensitive.

He sighs and rubs his eyes, choosing to put all these thoughts away for now. He was supposed to do the cheering up, not the other way around.

Capsaicin was silent for a long time. He was growing more and more visibly upset at Prune Juice's dismissiveness. Self care was of huge importance to him, especially since he's fallen down a certain rabbit hole before.

"It always starts off with something small, like staying up late or skipping meals. But then it develops into something worse. It always does. Bad habits are addicting, and your brain wants to push it further and further until it exhausts itself."

He lifts a hand, the remnants of chains rattling as he does so.

"I'm serious Prune Juice. Cut that shit out."

Capsaicin absent-mindedly stabbed at his pancake as his attention swerved to a different approach.

After some time he returns and lifts the blanket to check on Prune Juice.

"Psst. You still alive in there?"

On the table sat copious towers of pancakes, all decorated with generous amounts of strawberries, maple syrup and ice cream. Probably a bit too generous on the maple syrup, though the explanation behind it would be him trying to make cute pictures with it before they melted together into one giant pool.

"Before you pick up a fork I gotta warn you, I maaaaay have made a spicy pancake but I forgot which one it is. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I couldn't resist hahaha! So good luck Prune Juice Cookie! Let's hope you pick wisely!~"

He hesitated at the mention of Candy Apple. He really didn't trust her or her reasons for hanging around Prune Juice so much. Every time she's brought up in conversation he feels himself getting hotter with jealousy. But this isn't the time to bring up petty things. He'll let it slide. For now. He just hopes that these feelings aren't noticeable.

"Hey, hey, it's alright. It's just a dream. It doesn't mean anything. Just take a deep breath and put your mind on something else, something that makes you happy!"

Mango Cream Cookie: do you have any memories of your childhood? A mother, a father, friends, anything

// Sorry for the wait! I was considering whether to make this a oneshot or not.

"Hm, a friend from my childhood..? There is one Cookie who stood out to me as a kid.

We met when I got lost on a training excursion through Dragon's Valley. I ran into her by some hot springs and begged for directions, but she insisted I could only have them if I beat her in a mala sauce drinking competition. With no other option, I agreed to her challenge.

Together we collected the spiciest of ingredients and cooked up a sky-high tower of the stuff! Then proceeded the countdown to the competition. 3, 2, 1, and...

It was already over. She managed to chug down all 5 bowls in one sitting! I demanded a rematch and so we counted down again. Same result. We did it again. And again. I sorta lost track of how many bowls we drank.

I remember feeling so frustrated like my head was gonna explode. But then she rummaged through her helmet and pulled out a map with directions, saying I could have it as thanks for my cooking skills!

I still think about her a lot since then. Maybe I should go back and demand one more try."
