"Touche!" Gemma laughs in response, reciprocating Sterling's gesture by lightly nudging against his shoulder. "Eww, no-" She begins, playfully scrunching her nose, "The only time I take pity on someone is my brother when he's being a loser. So, not really something I'm into." A soft chuckle follows her words. "Sounds like you don't know me that well either - otherwise you'd know I don't like when people try too hard. You've always struck me as someone who doesn't have to try - and I like that. You naturally have that 'thing'." As she speaks Gemma explains with her arms out in grand gesture, confidently pretending like she knows what she's talking about.

By now he should anticipate receiving such cold reception from Lucy, but the fact that he's given her the benefit of doubt and she's still disappointed him feels like a punch in the gut. It makes him wonder why he's invested an immense amount of time and emotions into her - into this. "Of course you don't have anything to say." His verbal tone has grown frigid and distant, almost as if Lucy's effect on him was starting to fade away. Lance can't help but to keep going back to his thoughts and conversations with his sister that maybe he does deserve better. "My behavior is exhausting?" The question is rhetorical, evident in the way he lets out a dry, bitter laugh. "I could say the same about these mind games you play or this one-sided effort I've put in. I never wanted things to end this way, but I think you're right - it's not enough for me."

open to: m / w / nb. 28+ preferred. plot: loosely inspired by lemonade. our muses are in a high profile, long-term relationship, but valeria decides to expose your muse's infidelity to the world in her highly anticipated new album. (this is in her fame verse, not her regular one!)

It had been a long year of biting her tongue and playing dumb, but she wasn't blind to their late nights out or their sneaking around, and what it meant. After so long the cheating became obvious, and rather than reacting, Valeria had a vindictive masterplan that would soon come into fruition. Last night her highly anticipated album was released, paired along with multiple paid news articles -- all exposing the other's infidelity. Rather than immediately jumping into album promotions, Valeria's reserved the day for seeing their reaction, almost too excited for the drama and confrontation to begin. "It's about time you came home," she greets them, ready to jump into instigating. "Aw, what's that face for? You seem bothered by something."

"Hmm... try all of the above?" Despite the lightness and the joking in her tone, Kareena's own words couldn't be any closer to the truth. When Solomon brings his face mere inches away from her own, Kareena's heart stops within her chest and she attempts to relieve her shyness with a soft giggle. Though she manages to build up the slightest bit of courage to place a hand to Solo's face and gently turn his head, to which she quickly placed a small peck to his cheek. "That's all you get for now -- especially if you keep making fun of me!" she teases, her face becoming flushed from embarrassment.

Surprised by the admission, Solomon laughs even when his heart stutters in excitement in his chest. “And why didn’t you? Were you too shy? Or was I too tall to reach?” He bends down a little so his face is significantly closer to Kareena’s and wiggles his eyebrows, grin smug. “Here. Is this better? You can reach me now and we’re all alone…”

The denial she hears from him causes Gemma to roll her eyes and then follow up with a judgmental glare, eyebrows raised together and all. "I feel like you're lying to me-" She says bluntly, though she's not concerned enough to feel hurt by the exchange. "Look, you can play pretend all you want around other people, but that stuff doesn't work on me. And you're being way too obvious about it." She's not mad at him, but rather disappointed. "If you have to act like someone else to fit in with your asshole friends, then they're probably not really your friends. Just saying."

"I have no idea what you're talking about," but he did. Dream was an entirely different person around his friends -- almost as if he forced himself to be like them. "Guess you're saying I don't give you the same vibes when we're alone?" He then asked, chewing on his bottom lip in thought. There was a reason why Dream forced the facade around them and not her, she knew him far too well. The friends he had newly made, had no idea what truly went on in his head.

ellie was wondering if it was stupid of her to admit something so childish, reflecting on his reaction as she listened to him. "you think? once or twice?" she chuckled in response, rolling her eyes playfully. "i'm so honored that i was actually noticed by the benji robles," she fanned her hand in her direction, overreacting playfully. "i think we had a couple of classes together, but i certainly wasn't expecting you to look in my direction, so... no worries," she shrugged, cheeks involuntarily turning a bright shade of red at the interaction. "i don't know why i just admitted that-- a bit embarrassing, honestly, but..."
