Just made a guy mad over Chaos Theory
Told him his character analysis isn't really good on a YouTube comment section
And then he basically told me the same thing under another video. The comeback does not make any sense because the comment he responded to is me stating a fun fact about the novelizations of the show
To give some context he babyfies Kenji a lot and I personally believe favoritism on shows like this one is lame. Like I just don't fw picking favorites to the point of hating on other characters with no good reasons and making stuff up.
He was such a baby about it so he kinda lost.
Kenji Kon is a good character but he has flaws like the rest of the N6, ignoring them is just dumb in my opinion
Also I have noticed Monsterverse fans are bad at analyzing human characters. And can excuse mediocre characters since they are not the real stars of the show. Could be connected. *You know, apart from misogyny*
#jwct#chaos theory#jurassic world chaos theory#jurassic world#And yeah the kenji stuff is probably tied to his brooklynn hate#Noticed too how according to many fans Kenji is allowed to hate Brooklynn FOREVER but Sammy is a bitch for the same thing?#Why is Kenji allowed to hate Brooklynn but Sammy isn't?#Why is Kenji's trauma the only one being taken seriously by the fanboys but not Brooklynn's or Sammy's?#Also see how Brooklynn was the best of the girls for the same fanboys back when she was 13? But now...

Both suck in my humble opinion:
Anti woke grifter that calls Sue Storm girlboss, overpowered, bossy wife, uninteresting, too old to have kids (more than two youtubers have said this), demanding, not that hot
And
Insufferable young adult who swears on their life that the only thing Sue Storm did on the movie was being a mother (to her fucking newborn she just popped out oh the horror) and ignores that she is officially the strongest on the team now and the guys and the kid would be dead without her
You're telling me 2005-2007 Invisible Woman was better? Now THAT was a bunch of misogynistic stereotypes lumped into one character. Especially on Rise of The Silver Surfer. It pmo just to think about it.

Kenji, Sammy and Yaz are the ones with highest chance of death or injury by popular opinion.
And by popular opinion I mean the bigger part of the fandom not tumblr

This making me nervous ngl
Many people are theorizing Sammy is getting injured or killed
But I think Yaz or Darius getting injured NOT KILLED would be interesting

Marshall was the selfish one in Unpause during the finale season with his fight with Lily. Being a judge was his dream? He wanted to be a judge for less a year! His dreams from the start had been being an environmental lawyer, marrying Lily & having a family and finding a monster like Loch Ness (WHICH HE DOES!). He didn’t want to be a judge until he got the tiny settlement against Joe Manganiello’s company. And he took the job without speaking to her, knowing it would make her have to quit her job! He didn’t consult her! He didn’t say “hey Lily I got offered this judgeship and had to say yes to hold the offer but it’s not like I signed anything. So we should discuss this.”
And people who claimed “bUt ShE GoT SaN FRaN” she got a summer, 3 months, where she knew she made a huge mistake. She beat herself up over it. She knew she was wrong and she owned up to it!
Also, while trying to become a judge he was the one who encouraged Lily to take the job in Rome, and yes I said JOB! Because Marshall called it a fucking hobby! It was a legit job, she made good money while his career had been stagnant! He pushed her to take the job! He convinced her when she wanted to stay for him that she should take it. He was the one who made it sound so amazing, he upsold it so much, Marshall convinced Lily to go to Rome! He was the reason she wanted to go! And he thinks he can just take that back.
And him bringing up San Francisco was so shitty! So fucking shitty because you don’t tell someone you forgive them if you are just going to throw it in their face later. I’m not going to claim to be a relationship expert, though I’ve been in a relationship for nearly 12 years and I like to think I know a thing or two. And one thing I know is you don’t say forgive someone for something and then use it in a fight. Especially not 8 years later, because that makes it feel like your entire relationship has been invalidated! It makes you question every look, every ‘it’s ok’ and every I love you. Even his ghost dad said “because she hurt you once you now get to hurt her ? That’s now how a marriage works.”
And him asking if he and Marvin were a consolation was extra fucked up. He not only said he wasn’t sure if she loved him but also brought into question her love FOR THEIR SON! He basically told her he questioned their whole life together! And she had every right to be hurt by that, by the fact he didn’t trust her. That he didn’t trust that she loved him and their child.
And that was also the last thing Lily got for herself. That’s the last time she got to go after her dream. The finale was all about their lives after, we see Marshall not only became a judge but a supreme court judge! He got everything he wanted! He got the big family, the big career and he found Loch Ness! He got to have it! And Lily? She got pregnant again and then got left in her old apartment crying dressed as whale while her best friend basically broke up with her. That was literally her last scene, crying as a pregnant beluga whale.

i love himym but the way it punishes both its leading women for wanting to pursue their careers over their relationships is very unsettling.
when lily leaves marshall for san francisco nobody seems to handle the situation properly (except for barney) and nobody seems to understand her motivations behind that action. not even career woman robin.
lily knows that leaving marshall for san francisco is a mistake but she says it herself that its a mistake she needed to make. it would probably haunt her for the rest of her life if she hadnt. that 'what if' scenario may even have caused rifts between their marriage if she hadnt closed that door before starting a new chapter with marshall. it sure would have been nice to see robin sticking up for her and convince them that if she truly loved marshall she would definitely come back for him.
and don't get me started on robins 'fairy tale ending'. oh god. no. its so bad.
it essentially hammers in the idea that any woman who might be ambitious enough to sacrifice romance is doomed for a lonely pathetic life. as if single and child free is a nightmare for women all around the world and the only way they can be happy is to sacrifice everything they worked for and decide to play second fiddle to a man.

The fun thing is that if she Actually Looked here, she doesn't remember it because of the Trauma that followed.
Maybe she looked.
Maybe Kenji just likes to think that she looked.
It doesn't matter...it's not a memory either of them share.
